I own like five of these little, Mini Huda Palettes, and I LOVE them. The color combinations are great. They're highly pigmented, size is perfect for traveling, weekenders away, easy to slip into your purse on a night out or long day if you want to refresh or change your look, price is great for Huda, minimal fallout, you can mix n match colors from some of the different palettes to create fresh, new looks and with a bit of setting spray, the color stays vibrant all day long! A tip when using these palettes to completely avoid fallout and to get a bold look; run your makeup brush under a bit of warm water and put a decent amount of product on the brush (blender brush for full lid or detail brush for vibrant creases, eye corners, eye liner or a very fine, slim detail brush to create wing looks, eye art, shapes or to line brows or lips. You can get super creative with good eyeshadow. The "wet brush" method is also excellent for glitter palettes and colors. It stops it from going all over your face and ruining your foundation, concealer, bronzer/blush, and highlighter look. Just put a decent amount of warm water on the brush, wipe excess water off on a paper towel or tissue, and put enough product on the brush so that it just covers the brush (but don't put too much or excess will just fall off and won't stick to the brush) and gently dab across eyelids, repeat for a very "glittery" look or just do one coat for a more subtle look. Glitter can also be used this way with a detail brush for a shimmering crease, eye corners, and eyeliner (just use minimal glitter for liner to avoid any excess getting in your eye, but the wetness will keep it sticking to your waterline and MOST of the time doesn't come off in your eyes.)

The tutorial shows the 3 palettes with swatches and straight away I was in love. I hadn’t actually intended to get any palettes from this collection but when I went to Selfridges over the weekend I forgot they had a Huda Beauty stand which meant I got to swatch the shades for myself. Straight off the bat this palette swatches amazingly in the store the glitter shades looked flawless and the matte shades have a gorgeous creamy formula that makes the shades swatch so smoothly. I am so excited about using this palette. The shades in this palette have such a great variation where you can do a sutble look or use the shades to deepen the colours and glam up the look. Now this palette was £26.00 so definitely on the luxury beauty price range but to put into context a normal Huda Beauty palette would cost £58.00 which even by my standards is insane. Getting the Nude Light palette made more sense to me since they’re colours I would genuinely use daily. When I saw this palette in person straight away I could see some many combinations of looks to wear. I’ve added a pic of the colours swatches so you can see what they look like while I was playing with the palette last night I had so much fun using the glitter shades. Like I always say glitter shades always sit better on the eyes when you use your figure to apply the glitter on the eyes. Trying a few of these colours these colours look so flawless on the eyes, they really make a nude look go from basic to glamorous so quickly. I am obsessed with the colour story of this palette, the pigmentation and the overall presentation of the palette.

The little pans have a lot of product, and a little shadow goes a long way. The mattes are powdery and pigmented, while the shimmers are very metallic and impactful. I've hit pan at least 4 out of 9 shades. I find that the browns are excellent neutral/base shades and the pinks are true to their pan color when blended out (doesn't turn ashy). There is a bit of fallout, since the shades are so soft. I tend to apply the shimmers with my finger to make the color pop more. This is the Huda Beauty nude obsessions eyeshadow palette in nude rich. The palette features neutral tones, 5 mattes and 4 shimmers. As with most of Huda’s palettes, several shades are quite powdery so you want to tap off before touching your lid. One of the 4 shimmers was pressed hard into the pan and was hard to pick up with a brush. It was a stiff formula. There is some fallout with the palette. This has medium, buildable pigment. Most shades were easier to blend on top of a primer

The Nude Obsessions eyeshadow palette in Light contains 9 powder shades in three different finishes; you get five matte shades (mauve, light/medium pink, beige, peach medium-tone warm brown), two metallic shades (pinky lavender plummy bronze) and two duo‐chromatic pressed pearl formulas (pink/gold warm coral/pink). The colours are beautiful, the colour payoff is great, incredibly pigmented, easy to blend and staying for long. The small size makes it great for travel and can easily do day and night looks.

I have been able to create so many looks with this palette. I love the that the colors are rich and that tend to be more of a reddish Rosy hue, which I prefer. Those shades make my green eyes pop. The formula is really smooth and silky and goes on beautifully. I experienced very little fallout, which was a wonderful surprise as lately I've been having problems with pallets with fallout. The colors are intense and look the same on your eyelid as they look in the pallet itself. I do use an eyelid primer because I find that it helps the staying power of the eyeshadow. The eyeshadows themselves remained on my eyelids the entire day until I remove them in the evening. I love this palette and plan on using it often.

Disapointed

I have been using Mauve Obsessions (discontinued) palette for a really long time, and opted for this one as I had only crumbs of the old one left. A girl in Sephora told me they are basically the same. I checked shades, they were slightly different, but fine. When I got home to try it out I wasn't prepared for a disappointment. I can't believe how the quality of eyeshadows dropped. Pigments are weaker, shadows don't stay smoothly on, there is a lot of fall out, especially with glittery ones and they don't set well. I am really disappointed when makeup brand that gets successful starts cutting corners.

Great mattes, unique shimmer metallics

I bought the medium palette knowing this wouldn't be "nude" for my complexion, but I like the tones here better than the light palette. While all the shades blend like a dream, just know if you have very fair skin, these colors are not meant to blend light enough to look like "soft glam" tones for your complexion. The looks I get with this palette are dramatic glam, but that is what I expected and wanted. Depending on what I am going for, sometimes I will use a transition shade from another palette that's a little lighter and works better for my skin tone. Just know in advance if you are fair these shades are definitely darker rich caramel tones.I'm extremely impressed by this! They look metallic on the lid, and fade in a really interesting grungy-editorial way if you are wearing an emollient eye base (I happen to like that look, but if you don't, I would recommend using a stronger eyeshadow base to prevent oily lid creasing). Some of the shades look quite similar in the pan and in finger swatches so it can be difficult if you don't use this palette everyday to remember how the colors actually show up on the eyes. However, since all the shades are in the same color family/tones you can pretty much pair anything together and it looks good.Overall I find this to be such a great quality palette for the size and price. The mirror is great, it's easy to transport in a makeup bag if you are on the go. You can get stunning looks that seem like they took much more effort than they actually do. I would love Huda to come out with even more renditions of these Nude Obsessions, because I really don't think there's a limit to the nude color stories/intensities of glam you can put together for different complexions.

Proceed With Caution

I used the Huda Beauty Light Nude eye shadow palette for the first time last night. I loved the look and got several compliments. I washed my face thoroughly last night and removed all of my makeup and then did my usual skincare routine before going to bed. Unfortunately, I woke up with red, swollen, and painful eye lids this morning and both eyes were goopy as well. My left eye is especially irritated. This product was the only change in what I used. Unfortunately, it will be returned. I’m so disappointed and should have researched it before using as it sounds like I’m not alone.
