I am new to working "in the box" but this seems to have most of the bases covered. I just purchased this in June and have had it for about 2 weeks. I tried it with my IPad and it worked fine. I have yet to truly put it through the paces, though. I was using it with amplitude to see how their guitar emulations work. I was not tracking or anything but I did not notice any issues with latency. I always suggest reading the manuals to get the best out of your products.

This audio interface is a great piece of gear and a worthwhile addition to my setup! I'm on the go a lot as a pro artist/producer and the iRig Pro Duo I/O is very portable and versatile while giving you several options for connectivity, all in a compact form. I love the fact that I can easily connect a midi keyboard while using it with my iPad (make sure you have midi cable to connect to adapter!). It also receives guitar and mic signals very clearly and it's bus-powered when connected to laptop or desktop which is great. Furthermore it comes with a host of introductory software from IK multimedia which is pretty helpful. Recommended!

The iRig Pro Duo is delivered lacking the most basic element - a power supply. The power consumption on the two AA batteries is such that they are depleted within a couple hours of use. On the recommendation of the manual, I purchased a power supply exactly matching the specs recommended, yet it does not supply adequate power. Very disappointing to now have a product that will require many dollars per week of battery purchase and waste.

Am 100% happy with the service the vendor provided. Arrived well packaged & on the day it was supposed to.iRig duo is an awesome bit of kit when you get it working. Having not owned one of these before I did however find it incredibly frustrating to install & be warned if you’ve never used one of these interfaces before the general information provided by IK Multimedia is terrible. They literally go here it is get on with it which is fine if you know what you’re doing but very frustrationing if you don’t. After 2 hours or so I finally managed to get it to work & so far am very impressed. I give it 4 stars because of the terrible installation process & the lack of a comprehensive instruction pdf or video.
I'm using the iRig to convert MIDI for my iPad running the Korg Module app. It works perfect but as others mentioned the battery life is poor so I purchased an aftermarket power supply. The stereo analog inputs are a nice and very useful feature.
It took a long time because the product was back ordered but MF let me exchange for another unit, and the new one has been working perfectly so far. The old unit had lots of crackle and hiss, mainly on channel 2. Also a loose switch for phantom power on the side. Could have been related. IK Products took along time to return my email, and had a bunch of useless stuff for me to try, designed to make me give up and go away. The new unit is nice and quiet on both channels. A nice portable package and doesn't need to be plugged in unless I were using condenser mics. Thanks, MF.
I got unit for conference phone in for backup plan but no go. Seems like an easy Irig/ Apple resolve. Unless this is fixed probably will never use it. Irig should put that fact on info pages. I've recommended it for several churches that have phone in services for their shut Ins. Glad they didn't take my advise. So money down the drain unless I can return it.
I am currently using this device to record into GarageBand and to record videos for Facebook.Pros: Connects to Android, Apple, or laptop. Runs off AA batteries so it's portable. Preamps are very good!Cons: Mono channels unless selected Stereo in GarageBand or whatever DAW you use.
This is a good product for those of us who want to be able to provide really good sound for live internet streaming applications. Set-up can be interesting and will make the provider a highly sought after user.
An otherwise ok digital interface is marred by proprietary DIN port for USB interface to host, which requires proprietary DIN-to-USB cables, and proprietary plug interfaces for MIDI that require adapter pigtails to the standard MIDI 5-pin DIN connector. The cables that shipped with our iRig Pro DUO are far too short for most uses at just 2ft. That means the DUO has to be strapped to a mic stand or tripod every time we use it, and we have to pack all it's proprietary adapter cables everywhere we take it. Sound metering is also poor compared to other comparably priced digital interfaces. Having used the iRig DUO with iPhone Pro 11 Max and iPad Pro 3rd Gen and iPad Pro 4th Gen for our video capture projects, I prefer the bulkier Motu M2 and M4 for their superior sound ... MoreAn otherwise ok digital interface is marred by proprietary DIN port for USB interface to host, which requires proprietary DIN-to-USB cables, and proprietary plug interfaces for MIDI that require adapter pigtails to the standard MIDI 5-pin DIN connector. Sometimes bulkier is better when there are no weird adapter cables to lose or break. If you work with sound at a desk, and never have to switch between Apple Lightning and USB-C hosts, and you have an external way to meter your sound input, then the iRig DUO does deliver clean A-to-D sound conversion.
