Having holes doesnt work. Rain water weighs and the lid is pushed down . Hard to tie around the pool's inflated rim.We bought a 10ft pool as it was the cheapest. It wouldn't fill so the top didnt fit easily. Now this prob wasnt manufacturer's fault but, having a massive drawstring on a 10ft circle of plastic meant that the the lid was hard to secure. When the rain water gathered, the weight pushed the lid on top of the water and, with the holes, the pool water came through and the lid sank.The manufacturer gave what seemed to be a sensible reason for the holes but a filter would keep water clean enough and if there were no holes, the lid would not sink. Poorly thought through

After reading all the negative reviews of this and other pool covers on Amazon I was dreading purchasing one but needed one desperately for my 8 foot Intex pool. In the end I decided to bite the bullet and go with this brand as it was the same brand as my pool and I figured I could always send it back if it was horrendous.As it turns out, its not been a bad purchase. The 8 foot cover fits my 8 foot Easy Set pool perfectly, it sits nicely under the rim and is tightened and secured with a drawstring. Its easy to put on and remove with two people, although I can manage it on my own. I understand that the water probably needs some ventilation but Id prefer to have a hundred tiny holes rather than 18 big ones With that being said, I havent actually had any problems with leaves or bugs getting inside the pool. The only thing that has got inside is rain water although the cover does protect most of the pool but I do treat the water with chlorine.Overall, as long as you get the correct sized cover be aware its made for the Easy Set pool and make sure your pool is not placed underneath a tree, then you should be alright with this. Its certainly not amazing but its done the trick for me and is reasonably priced too.

It fits perfectly and seems strong enough to last a while and keeps the leaves out...but with the slightest shower it sinks below the surface leaving inches of water on top of the cover. So what you say Well most of the the heat going out of your pool is by evaporation, and having a large pool size layer of water on top of the cover means it does little to reduce the heat loss in this manner. Fortunately there is a solution. I had some spare Jiffy foam wrap. Cut an approx pool size piece to fit and floated it on the surface then fitted the cover. Problem solved. Would be nice if they made the cover of something that did not sink in water.

Really pleased with this pool cover. I had seen photos of others that had lots of holes in the top which would let leaves etc in. However, my one only has 4 holes, which are needed to get air flow under the cover. Its easy to put on and off on my own. I bought it not only to stop next doors tree bits going in my pool but to stop my cat from trying to drink the pool water. We were worried she would get ill from the chlorinated water. Now I can keep my pool up and relax that its safe for our cat. I also have a bubble wrap type cover on it which heats up the pool with the sun on it. My pool gets nice and warm with the two covers. So, reading the review its very hit and miss but Ill put it straight.1. Get the size that suits your needs. It does and will fit for the size.2. Its a tight fit but it stretches, well the outer ring stretches but dont be to forcefull with it just put over the poolSpa whatever and go round stretching it over and keep going and going, it will stretch eventually.3. The draw string is pretty useless, well I couldnt pull tight enough without the feeling of ripping or breaking the string but as explained before its a very tight fit anyway so shouldnt be a problem, unless you get high winds then well its gonna come off.Ive had it on about a week with no problems apart from really, really strong winds
Fits the Intex 8ft pool perfectly.Easy to put on and take off on my own.Yes it has holes and does sit on the water. But that stops it from sweating underneath.Has kept the water warm also for my grandson.Pool ring keeps deflating, not sure if the cover is not helping with this.Yes some flowers have got in pool due to holes. We have a six month cleaning fuid in pool along with chlorine tablets. Has kept pool clean since last Friday.Good purchase for the price. Much better than the rectangular one we had on the Intex metal frame pool for three years. That was a nightmare to get on and off with no holes. I bought an 8ft Intex family swim centre and needed a cover for this. Due to the paddling pool having a back rest going the width of the pool, I thought a 10ft pool cover would probably be best due to the shape. As you can see from the picture it covers perfectly and we are really pleased with it. Due to the size, we havent had issues others have had with the holes on top allowing stuff to drop through thankfully.The only negative is that there is only drawstrings on the front rather than the back too so we can only anchor down one end, when the weather gets windy the cover picks up from the back and it comes off the pool entirely. This pool cover is excellent it is circular with a drawstring to adjust fitting. Unlike other pool covers we have had, sometimes just a flat rectangle of plastic with no means of securing this one is brilliant. It is light enough to sit on the top of the pool and not touch the water, thus reducing bits getting into the pool. It feels durable enough to last for some time and not just for a few weeks of one summer as others previously have. It fits the pool perfectly. It was easy to order, well worth the low price it was and came very quickly. I would highly recommend.
Excellent item. Covered my 10ft Intex pool perfectly. It has draw string at one side which you pull tight to ensure it stays put. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked considering we have really windy weather, it did not fly off. As other reviews have stated these do have holes in certain sections which allows the cover not to fly off.Top Tip We had this cover on while filling the pool. Because the colour is dark blue all most black I noticed it touches the water as it was filling. Due to the direct sun light, I felt it was really good in increasing the temperature of the pool.
