Right, so I already have a pair of Jabra earphones (Elite 3) and a pair of Google Pixel Buds Pro and I will make some comparisons between them and the Jabra Elite 10 Gen 2. I have four main points: 1) The first thing I noticed was the shape of the earphone buds that come with the Jabra Elite 10 (Gen 2). It's difficult to describe but they're slightly more rectangular, they have a top and a bottom which is bigger and longer on the bottom side, meaning that they go slightly underneath the earphone. It's difficult to describe but they're slightly more rectangular, they have a top and a bottom which is bigger and longer on the bottom side, meaning that they go slightly underneath the earphone. Whilst it seems such a small change, this is a significant step up from the traditional rounded style and I find they fit me FAR better than the rounded ones you get with something like the Pixel Buds Pro - which feel like they'll fall out of my ears if I wobble my head enough. All of this is a long way of saying that the Jabra Elite 10 Gen 2 earphones are really, really comfortable to wear. I've worn them for about four hours at a time in my working day and they've never felt like they were making my ears feel sore. 2) The battery life is utterly extraordinary. By far and away, it's the best battery life I've experienced on any pair of wireless earphones. There's a bit of extra bulk to the case compared to the Jabra Elite 3 earphones, and it seems to have been entirely given to having a bigger battery capacity. It's really, really noticeable just how long the case lasts without needing to be charged. 3) Quality wise, the sound is very strong. I listen to podcasts and audiobooks more than anything else and the speech is clear and without distortion. I also connected the Elite 10 Gen 2 to my Steam Deck and found the quality of game sound effects and soundtracks to be really clear. Being honest, I noticed the Spatial Sound with a few things, but enough to really be able to talk about it. More than anything, I've noticed it more with sound effects from my Steam Deck, where the sound felt like it had a specific movement or direction to it. That said, the ANC (Active Noise Cancellation is there. It's alright. But it's nowhere near as good as the ANC on the Pixel Buds Pro as you can still hear background noise. This is a bit of a problem on the London Underground, where good ANC really comes in to its own against the loud noise of the tube trains. By comparison, with the ANC on the Pixel Buds Pro, exterior noise just stops dead in its tracks (aha!) 4) My main negative, despite the battery capacity, is the design of the Elite 10 Gen 2 case itself is a baffling step backwards for Jabra - compared to the Elite 3 series case. For some reason, the top of the case is flat and the charging port is at the very bottom of the rounded bottom of the case. It's so...odd. Because the Jabra Elite 3 case had a flat bottom, a flat top and the charging port was on the back. Meaning that it sat nicely as it charged, you could see the status of the charging light and - most importantly - it stayed still in your pocket. By comparison, the fully rounded Pixel Buds Pro case is horrible to commute with and moves around in your pocket so much that you constantly worry about it falling out (especially if you wear a suit.) So the Jabra Elite 10 Gen 2 case having a fully rounded bottom feels like a complete step in the wrong direction away from one of the best things about the earlier Jabra Elite models and makes it far less practical for charging and having it in your pocket. TL;DR THE GOOD: - They're really comfortable and stay in the ear well. - The battery life on the case is phenomenally good. - The sound quality is very good. - The bluetooth connection is notably easy to swap across your devices. THE BAD: - The Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) is decent..but not as good as other earphones in this price range. - The overall case design is a baffling step backwards.

It's easy to overlook Jabra. They don't have the same brand identity as more trendy offerings from Apple or Google. Nor do they have the long history of companies like Bose. But they've spent the last few years doing their best to make a compelling case for why that would be a mistake. Because while those big names tend to be content releasing a product and then leaving it alone for the next five or ten years, Jabra is constantly pushing the envelope with new products sporting new features. The second generation Elite 10 exemplifies this by including a feature I didn't expect to ever see in earbuds: support for Dolby Atmos.Of course it has to be said that Dolby decoding doesn't mean much if the base package isn't capable. The second generation Elite 10 exemplifies this by including a feature I didn't expect to ever see in earbuds: support for Dolby Atmos.Of course it has to be said that Dolby decoding doesn't mean much if the base package isn't capable. This decidedly is. Jabra earbuds generally do a very good job of presenting excellent and highly tunable audio while simultaneously allowing however much ambient sound in as you want. The Elite 10 continues this trend. Between the noise cancelling and the design for the earbuds they do a great job blocking out ambient noise, and the pass through audio is quite clear considering. I also didn't really notice any pressure building in my ear canals with the noise cancellation engaged - something that made a set of Bose earphones I'd previously used borderline intolerable to use for more than brief stints.Speaking of comfort, the Elite 10 score fairly well there as well. The earbuds are a little on the large and heavy side compared to some earbuds, but once I'd adjusted the ear cushions I found it to be acceptable. There are four different sizes of cushions in the box that should cover most adult ears. Likewise the charging case/receiver is one of the larger ones I've seen for wireless earbuds in a while, but is still pocketable. Personally I found this to be an acceptable tradeoff given the added features it enables, but it may be a bit offputting for anyone looking for something small and light to use as their daily carry. Finally, let's talk about those features. The Atmos processing here is rather interesting. Rather than trying to recreate the experience of having multiple speakers around the room, the earbuds incorporate head tracking to move the sound around you. I can't say it's entirely comparable to traditional surround sound, but it's certainly a step up from the typical earbud experience when it comes to immersion. The only downside is that support for it is a bit hit or miss. Using the case as a receiver by plugging it into an audio source seems to be the most reliable option - the software on my phone and computer is a lot more hit or miss.Ultimately, I would recommend these earbuds to almost everyone. But probably more for all the other features, rather than the more limited Atmos support. The core tech here is what really sets them apart.

I got the Jabra app that goes along with this and while I’m very over every piece of technology having an accompanying app, I will say that their app is modern, up to date, and very detailed so they’ll get a thumb up from me.The case came charged and battery life seems to really shine here. I’ve been using mine with ANC pretty solidly for a week and haven’t needed to recharge the case yet but when you do, it easily hooks to a USB-C cord for charging the case. The earbuds are very lightweight and comfortable and allow mono-bud use if you don’t want to use both at the same time.On the app, there’s all kinds of preset audio options or you can easily adjust the bass, treble, and mid to fit your liking. I played around with this and was pleased with how the sliders truly differentiate the sounds as I’ve had prior headphones that provided these options but don’t do much. There’s options on the app to find your headphones if they’re lost, which is a plus. The headphones have an included microphone which I only tried on one call so far but my caller said they could hear me clearly and I could hear them so that’s a thumbs up. The headphones also provide ANC and hear-through options where you can elect to listen to music but hear people nearby talking to you. The hear-through feature really didn’t work great imo, so I won’t plan to use it until there’s a firmware update. Speaking of updates, I updated the headphones on the app when I got this all setup and that took quite a while, and you had to leave the app open. It was going for 10min and I was halfway through but went to do something else on my phone, returned to the app and had to restart the process. Sigh. The other downside to the app is you can’t make any adjustments until your headphones are on.The ANC works pretty well and the app even has bonus sounds you can turn on if you just want to hear background noise. The one feature I was very excited for but am very bummed by is the head tracking feature. Theoretically, it’ll track your head movement when turned on and adjust the audio accordingly. I tried it once and was wildly unimpressed as the audio CONSTANTLY is changing at the slightest turns and it’s very disorienting so I stopped using it near immediately. The headphones have buttons on each that can do all kinds of things like answer calls, adjust volume, skip songs, pause, turn on ANC or hear-through, etc.The controls are VERY intuitive and I’ve appreciated them for the start. My major concerns that I haven’t been able to resolve yet is the headphones seem to have a life of their own when turning on. Out of probably 6ish times I’ve used these, 1/3 of the time they’ve turned on as I left them with no issue, another 1/3 of the time they’ve turned on with my settings changed and ANC is turned off for some reason, and then the other 1/3 of the time the right headphone just won’t turn on automatically. While both are easy fixed as I can turn on the headphone and change to ANC, I’ve got no idea why this happens but only properly working 1/3 of the time is getting old fast. All said, I think these are great sounding headphones with great battery life, tons of customization options and a great ANC but really dropped the ball with hear-through, basic functions, and head tracking. I’m interested if future updates can fix some issues but as of now I’d hesitantly recommend these.

Don’t do that. The packaging for these are sleek, modern, and really thorough in detailing what the headphones can do. You feel like you’re getting a high value product when getting these out of the box. Included is the headphones, the Smart Case, an aux jack adapter, and multiple ear sized replacements so you can adjust these for comfort. For context, I’ve found some headphones can easily damage when you swap out earbud sizing and since the default fit me, I didn’t bother trying anything else.Setup was pretty quick and easy. For context, I’ve found some headphones can easily damage when you swap out earbud sizing and since the default fit me, I didn’t bother trying anything else.Setup was pretty quick and easy.

[Rewarded Review] Fantastic in ear, earbuds.

These are very nice and great performing in ear earbuds. Pairing and set up was a breeze to my phone. And also able to pair up with my iPad as well, and you get notification that two devices are paired. The controls are very nice and easy to get to for each earbud. Right ear controls a specific set of functions while the left ear earbud controls another set of specific functions. I have listened to music extensively after a week and also watched movies and programs and shows and also have done phone calls and zoom meets with the earbuds. I have listened to music extensively after a week and also watched movies and programs and shows and also have done phone calls and zoom meets with the earbuds. They have performed very well in all situations giving me very nice clarity in a variety Of cases. One of the coolest features that I have enjoyed so far is using the Jabra sound app. It is a very functional app that gives you access to various settings. Allows you use a various sound mode which you can access directly. Also has Dolby spatial sound settings and you can utilize head tracking off or on. One of the coolest features on the app is you have a music equalizer with six presets and a customization, which gives you access to adjusting an equalization curve with five different Bands which I assume PEQ. Including 60 Hz, 250 Hertz, 1 kHz 4 kHz and 7.6 kHz, Which is more than other earbuds I’ve used and they are not just simply tone controls Of base in trouble. I feel the earbuds are very comfortable, and I can wear them for extended periods without causing irritation to my ears. They have four different sizes small, medium, large and extra large, and I went back-and-forth between the medium and the large and settled on the medium for now. Lar is just too uncomfortable. They are easy to pull off and place on. Just make sure you have the right orientation, when putting the earbuds onto the device. There are some negatives with these earbuds, which I found not too major. I watched movies with it with the Dolby sound spatial and wasn’t quite impressed that it did create a Dolby Atmos effect when comparing it to my true Dolby Atmos home theater. Additionally I’m not too impressed with the noise canceling feature although it does muffle outside sounds it is not as robust as headphones. So far forgivable but that’s why I’m giving it four stars in instead of five. As far as the sound quality, I really think these Have outstanding Sound quality and get very good bass Much better Then other earbuds I have used. The mids and the highs are very detailed as well. The various EQ settings do make a difference and you can play around with the various presets or make your own like I did and mix it up with various music genres and or movies and media. I do recommend these. These are cool.

[Rewarded Review] Good audio, great mic pickup for earbuds!

The Jabra Elite 10 wireless earbuds are a premium set of earbuds from Jabra. These are stylish, finished in the titanium black colorway and it does look good. Compared to some other earbuds, these have a larger housing though still rounded. These come with a battery charging case that can itself be charged wirelessly or via USB-C. In many ways, every feature the Elite 10 boasts is the same as the pro earbuds from a certain large cell phone manufacturer. As it happens, I have one of those as my current daily driver so my view is primarily focused on what the Elite 10 does better or worse. My general use of wireless earbuds falls into listening to music/GPS navigation or taking calls on my ride to work, taking video calls, and listening to music while working out at ... MoreThe Jabra Elite 10 wireless earbuds are a premium set of earbuds from Jabra. In many ways, every feature the Elite 10 boasts is the same as the pro earbuds from a certain large cell phone manufacturer. As it happens, I have one of those as my current daily driver so my view is primarily focused on what the Elite 10 does better or worse. My general use of wireless earbuds falls into listening to music/GPS navigation or taking calls on my ride to work, taking video calls, and listening to music while working out at the gym. For the first, I like active noise canceling to remove wind noise but also adaptive volume to reduce the earbud audio if listening to music and I start talking to someone. For video calls, my primary need aside from good mic pickup is that the earbuds seamlessly switch from my phone to computer. Gym workouts mostly need comfort and that the earbuds don’t fall out of my ears.On the first point, the Elite 10 does well providing good sound reproduction, able to remove some amount of background noise though callers report still hearing wind noise when I was above 20mph. Picking up my voice was good and this carried over to the video calls. There’s an adaptive wind setting but honestly it did not seem to make a difference in reported noise when on versus off. But I think the mics on this were stand out compared to my daily driver. The mic difference was even more noticeable on video calls because that’s where I tend to run into more problems. I’m naturally soft spoken and instinctively adjust my volume to match my surroundings. In a quiet environment, I am quiet. When riding, the wind noise causes me to raise my volume but as I’m enclosed in my helmet, callers get a better signal to noise ratio. I’ve tended to need to use headsets with boom mics for indoor calls as my normal earbuds seem to have issues. I don’t think these outperformed my boom mic headset for indoor pickup of my voice, but I definitely got less complaints using these - their performance was a lot less variable. The Elite 10 also did a good job with switching between my phone and computer. The behavior sometimes is annoying, like it would switch to my phone if I got a notification that had audio while I was on a video call on my PC so I generally needed to remember to set my phone to vibrate or silent when I wanted to prioritize the PC. I wish there was a way to configure priority - like if my phone rings instead of automatically switching to it, play a muted ringtone but keep the audio on my PC until I answer the call.Regarding ear fit, this has consistently been one of the biggest issues I’ve had with water resistance rated earbuds. Either I struggle getting a good fit or sweat destroys the good fit. Here, performance was mixed. I couldn’t get things to be super comfy for normal wear but they seemed to hold up longer in a workout before I’d need to remove and readjust. In all, I think the Elite 10 are a decent choice for premium featured earbuds. My biggest gripes are likely things that can’t be controlled by Jabra (how third party software handles multipoint and how my biomechanics affects fit - seems to affect just about every earbud I’ve tried). I give these a strong recommendation.

[Rewarded Review] Great Spatial Sound

Overall very impressed with my first set of Jabra earbuds. The case and the Jabra Elite 10 earbuds are similiar in size to many other earbuds on the market and the three sets I own from other manufacturers.Of the four brands I now own, these are the most comfortable, with no discomfort after 3 hours or continuous use.I used them during a league bowling night. I was happy with the sound quality in the loud environment. Listening to music or videos, the sound feels like it’s just in front of my forehead and not in my ears and as I turn my head from side to side the sound shifts some to whichever ear is facing front.I’m also impressed by the app. Which gives you the usual settings options, but also has a Soundscapes setting where you can just from a good selection of nature and other noise settings such as Crowd, Babbling Brook, Perfect Storm or just pink or white noise. Finally the best feature in my opinion is the case itself. With the usb-c charging cable there is mini headphone adapter that allows you to connect the case to other devices and pass through the sound to the earbuds. I had to get a 1/8 to 1/4 headphone adapter which then allows me to connect the case to my surround sound receiver and watch movies at night with the volume as loud as I’d like without disturbing my family. The first movie I tried this with was TopGun: Maverick and I was very surprised at the sound quality. They are supposed to supposed Dolby Atmos, which my system does as well, but I think that’s coming in a future firmware update.

[Rewarded Review] Great in ear head phones

These are my first Jabra in ear headphones, music quality is in my opinion second to none.Set up with the Sound + app is super simple, they paired immediately with my phone, tablet and computer. The app is a great user interface and easy to use for customizing your Jabra Elite's. The display shows battery charge for both ear buds and the case.Changing sound modes from ANC, Hear Through and Off renders differences in noise cancellation, although there is a subtle difference I did notice it. The ANC worked perfectly as it should. Dolby spatial sound really made me feel like I was immersed in the music. Stereo Spatializer enhances the sound and widens the stereo content. You can choose 6 presets or manipulate the equalizer to your own liking.Soundscape is a cool idea, I have used it several times before going to bed to just flat out relax. So here is one of the only flaws, the LE case will not operate as described likely until Q1 2025 until the new firmware release, which I confirmed with Jabra. The Bluetooth™ LE Audio feature for the Jabra Elite 10 Gen 2 earbuds is planned for release in Q1 2025. A little confusing since it describes this feature right on the box. At any rate not a huge deal but here is the best part, you can hook this right to in flight entertainment systems, game changer.... The included charging cable is USB C with a plug for older audio systems. Cool....The bottom line in headphones for me is sound quality and fit, these check both boxes so I would definitely recommend them.

I have used the headphones consistently for 6 hours a day without issue. The physical buttons have a great tactile feel and are SO MUCH better than touch-based ones as clicks always register. The recharging case has a great mate finish to it, the denim version I have looks great, and the case has strong magnets to ensure that your headphones do not fall out.The sounds quality and premium feel of the headphones is very similar to gen 1 versions of the Elite 10 ( I have a black pair), the difference comes in spatial audio, noise cancellation and the addition of a smart audio case. The noise cancellation is better than the previous generation, but it is not by much, I would say it does a better job at reducing sounds that are closer to you than the previous generation for instance a small desk fan. When it comes to the spatial audio the upgrade is very noticeable, when watching movies with Dolby Atmos you are completely immersed in the content. The previous Elite 10 did a good job with spatial audio but Gen 2 takes it up a notch as it feels like you have speakers behind your head. The smart case is a killer feature as it allows you to use your headphones with any device that has a headphone jack or USB plug, you just plug the smart case in and now you can stream content to your headphones. The remarkable thing about using the smart case is that the spatial audio still comes through and I don’t have to upgrade my AVR to use wireless headphones. My only issue with the headphones has been that the app doesn’t connect/register quickly once I start using the headphones, it just seems to get stuck in a loop and I have to restart the app. Otherwise the app is still as good as before, allows you to change the EQ to better suit your needs and allows you to turn on head tracking for spatial audio.Overall Jabra made some nice refinements from the prior gen product and the smart case feature is excellent because it allows you to use the headphones in so many other areas than you could before. If you’re in the market and you don’t have the prior gen I would recommend these as they are well built and offer great sound and can be used anywhere with mostly anything.Pros not mentioned in review:• Fast connect (Bluetooth connects quick even if the app doesn’t)• Battery life ( 3 days of 8 hours each day before case/headphones needed to be recharged)• Call clarity. One of the best for phone call/online meeting• GPS showing where you last used headphones.• Noise cancelling doesn’t make it sound like you’re in a fish tank

[Rewarded Review] Jabra is making some of the best earbuds available
31 July 2024

I recommend these to anyone looking for a great pair of earbuds under the three hundred mark. They have an excellent fit, long-lasting battery, superb spatial audio, intuitive and programmable controls, and quick pairing with all operating system but especially fast on Android and Windows 11. The brand claims the noise cancellation is now twice as strong, and I can’t argue with that. The already impressive ANC has reached a level where it can block out car traffic, conversations, air conditioning, and even make the kids' yelling bearable. I found the ANC to better than some competition but maybe not top five. The Hear Through mode works very well. I found the ANC to better than some competition but maybe not top five. The Hear Through mode works very well. It doesn't sound robotic, however, I had a few issues with it not letting through audio but it would come back right away. Also, I could not find a fit where the hear through was not muted slightly because the eartips blocked some of the sound. Even though the earbuds are very comfortably, they slipped out when I got sweaty and had to readjust multiple times. It got to the point it was frustrating. It could be because I have a lot of trouble finding tight fitting earbuds overall. The Jabra Elite 8 sport buds may have been a better choice for me but just for activity? The Elite 10 introduces “head tracking,” which I found to better implemented than the bitten fruit company's. The sound moves with you and comes from all directions. I don't think it helps much with immersion but it doesn't seem as distracting as I've experienced with other buds. I kept the spatial audio but turned off the head tracking. The Dolby Atmos is definitely a great addition and I use it daily. I love it with movies and shows. have to have to play with it more when listening to music. It might be better to turn it off or choose it based on the type of music. From what I’ve read, the improvements in Gen 2 are incremental but I can't comment further. I'd love to try the Elite 8 since I like to use it for backyard work and walking but I may not like losing the superior comfort sound, and noise cancellation of the Elite 10. Jabra earbuds should definitely be on anyone's short list of top tier earbuds.
