This little mic is quite handy. Being so small you can take it anywhere and get incredibly better sound than the mic on a phone. With noise cancelling and even a wind cover this thing can really get some decent quality for on the go video.I unfortunately had a couple issues that others may encounter. First off is that the receiver does not fit in my phone port with my case on. I would like to see the port just ever so slightly longer (about 1mm). Next thing is that I was not actually able to get it to work on my sound recorder app. Any video I took the mic worked perfectly but not on an audio recorder. With the noise canceling on high (in the app) and the wind muff on, you could barely hear anything from the car except for a little bit when I accelerated which I thought was really impressive.Battery:The battery life on this mic is pretty good. I charged it up all the way and have only charged it up once since then after using it off and on for a week. I like how it automatically turns of after 30 minutes, although Id like to have an option to turn it off after 15 minutes to save even more battery.Overall:This mic is great for me as someone who sometimes needs to record themself. Its not hard to use and the quality of sound has impressed me. I know theres better on the market, but I dont need studio quality sound when I'm on a hike or in the car recording myself, I just need crisp and quality sound that people notice when they hear it and I get that with this.I will say that with a loose shirt, the mic does sometimes thud against my chest if I star jogging, so I have to find a place to secure it better like clipped to a shirt pocket. I've never had the mic fall off my shirt so the clip is pretty stable.If you're getting into vlogging, streaming, hosting a podcast, or just want to record your thoughts, I think this mic is a great choice.

While I am not really a content creator, this device and the idea behind it make me want to become one! I like this thing so much I want to figure out how to use it for everyday use, not just content and streaming creation. The thought behind is it slick, and the execution is sweet. The idea just makes sense and will really enable better sound, better audio and better content for those that choose to use it. The overall package is so well done, how it fits into sleek charger, how it all integrates, how easy it works. I love that it comes with a wind diffuser for the mic as well, but that would also be related to my one complaint - I wish there was space in the charger/holder for the diffuser as well. I am rather new to using microphones outside of running live sound for a band. I have never used one on a portable device and I must say, this microphone is awesome. The recordings are super clean and crisp. The actual microphone is incredibly small and light. It comes in a portable case that charges it and also holds the phone adapter. The case is a little larger than an earbuds case but not so much larger that you couldn't put it in your pocket. I think where this device really stands out is the level of control you have over it in the app. One other really important thing to point out is that the microphone is a lot smaller than other wireless microphones in this genre. It's not boxy or square. It has a really nice shape that doesn't look silly or get in the way.

I like how you put the mic and dongle both in the case after use. The only issue is if you have the windshield connected you can’t close the case. It will still charge but you can’t close the case. Upon taking the mic out of the case you see a white light flash. Once you connect the dongle to a usb-c device it connects instantly. I was very impressed the first time I used the device. Very well built and feels very solid. It has a premium feel to it. I used it for a few days for over an hour at a time. After about 4 days I still had more than 50 percent charge left and that was using the noise canceling feature. The mic sounds very focused but you can hear directional sounds very clearly. If you use the JBL headphone app you can adjust the noise canceling and also the gain of the microphone. I left the noise canceling feature on seeing there there is allot usually going on around me and the environment gets very noisy. I also like having a button to mute the mic at certain times.Having the case gives the benefit of keeping the mic and the dongle together. It also charges the microphone when it’s inserted into the case. Having it in the case for 15 minutes gives you an hour of usage. JBL claims you can get 6 continuous hours of continuous usage and a total of 24 hours when you use the already charged case. That is allot more than I’m used to getting with my other mics. After the case dies you can charge it back up with the included usb-c cable. You can charge the device and still use it at the same time.I tested the distance you can travel from the receiver to see how far it would reach. My property is 100’x200’ and is very open without allot of obstructions. I stayed connected while walking the perimeter of the property while leaving the receiver in a central location. The mic has an advertised range of 100 meters on 2.4ghz frequency. This is way better than the range of the mics I typically use. This mic has very low latency.In the end, the JBL Quantum Stream wireless mic is my new favorite microphone for streaming and recording. Having environmental noise canceling is a huge plus as well as an adjustable gain. Being able to roam around without the fear of losing a connection or experiencing latency issues is another plus. Battery life is amazing allowing me to use this unit for days without having to charge the entire setup. It’s super easy to wear by just clipping it on and muting is as simple as pressing the button on the mic. My only issue is the fur windshield. It works flawlessly but took some time to install it. I also have an issue with not being able to leave it on and being able to close the case. If I take it off I feel I will lose it but for the most part I won’t be taking it off. Which means I may never close the case then. This microphone is perfect for anyone that does any sort of video streaming or theater work and even some basic recording. This is the frist time using this type of device. I have to say it was great when using to record videos. The simplicity of connecting this device to my phone and sync was flawless. I started using close to me and recording sounded great. Then I tested about 20 feet away between rooms and sounded as if I was talking right into the phone. Amazing sound and clarity is well worth the purchase. I tested for a period about 30 minutes without an battery issues and expect this can be used for hours. The only issue item had is wind shield had to be carried separately and no where to house to use when needed. If s compact wind shield could be developed it would be perfect.
My phone microphone isn’t always great, especially from far away, and this has solved all of my problems. It plugs directly into my phone through USB C (make sure you buy the right plug for your phone) and sets up very quickly.It comes with a charging case which protects the microphone on top of charging it. It comes with a cover to block out the wind, which has been great for filming outside, especially at the beach. I’ve used this with both my phone and my laptop, and it’s worked great with both. I have recorded myself playing piano and it sounds so much clearer than my phone mic does. I walked over 20 feet away with the microphone and the connection was still top notch. Would definitely recommend, especially for content creators.
