This is a replacement kettle and exactly the same one as I had previously. I bought the same one as I have a matching toaster which is still working. I paid double the price for my previous kettle to what I did for this one but it was well worth it as it has lasted me 10 years and the reason it broke was totally my own fault. I have real stone tiles and as I was putting the kettle on its holder I was sometimes banging it against the wall which eventually led to the kettle leaking. Having said that it was still boiling. Heres hoping that my recent purchase gives me the same length of service. As I said I paid double first time round and I thought 10 years service at that price was exceptionally good so the fact Ive paid half the price for this one is even better. Pros: Love the colour & finish. Good capacity & quick boiling time.Cons: The only thing that is slightly annoying is that the cable fits loosely into its position on the base. Because the base is plastic, it can move when the kettle is lifted off it and then cable sometimes comes out of position. It would have been better if it clipped into place.

Only bought again to match the toaster.Cons: The lid is very hard to get off and the same for putting it back on.The first one I purchased still worked but after 2 years the outside black paint started to come off showing the silver metal underneath which did not look good. Had to replace the kettle as bits of paint were getting into our drinks. Will not buy again if this happens again.

I brought this kettle thinking I was upgrading when my last kettle of 6 years failed on us. I like a hot cup of tea and this kettle leaves the water just off boiling so when I put my milk in my tea my tea needs warming up in the microwave. It leaks underneath so I’m constantly drying the base. Kettle is already mottling inside. Will be trying to return this to curry tomorrow
I love the design and colour of this kettle. It perfectly coordinates with our kitchen and other DeLonghi products. But condensation builds up inside the lid, spilling out when you open the kettle to add water. It's not a biggie, but wiping away the small splashes of water on the countertop every time you fill it is a bit irritating. Nonetheless, it's a lovely, well-made kettle.
