My husband is a great cook and I always wanted him to try an electric knife but he was a bit scared. Anyway, Santa bought him one for Christmas - it was charged and ready to go so straight into carving the ham, rolled pork and turkey. He is now a convert and not frightened at all!

I bought this knife for a good friend who had a sudden onset of a specific disease. This left her paralysed from the waist down. She would get exhausted just eating her dinner. After taking her out for lunch and then physically putting her in bed we thought about ways to help. When we suddenly thought about buying an electric knife, I said I wonder if you can get it cordless. Well we bought this knife. We delivered it and yesterday I dropped in to see our friend. I asked how she went and there was tears in her eyes and she couldnt thank me enough. It gave her back a small bit of her independence back. Since then she has been improving and she puts that down to eating more before she is exhausted. So win win. A product that for her is priceless. This is one of the worst products I have ever bought . It is difficult to grip and press the operation button simultaneously. It does not cut well. My son sells them where he works and he tried to use it and said he would not be recommending it to customers . I only tried to use it the once and had to grab an ordinary knife , which worked 100% better, than the electric knife

Charged this knife for at least 6 hours and have used it only so far to slice bread. Speed and power drops dramatically after a very short time. Have to keep re charging to maintain power. Disappointing as it does cut well when at full speed.
A formidable straight-edge cutting tool, this cuts foam plastic as precisely as the usual roasted flesh. Heavier than expected for a knife ... in this case is good news, long time between recharges. Put a screw through the interlock, so now it is easy to operate. Perfect for video games, bar fights, and domestic quarrels. Thanks to the People's Republic of China for this refinement of daily life.
I bought this knife on 4 August and have given it a fair trial but find it almost useless.I bought it because I have arthritis in my hands. To hold the on button and press the safety button at the same time is very difficult indeed.Even when I get it to cut it doesn’t cut right through because of the finger grips.Using different types of chopping board this knife’s sharp points on its blades cut into the boards’ surfaces.
The Kenwood Cordless Electric Knife was bought as a gift for a friend and the recipient, a Chef in a popular restaurant, was very pleased to receive it and said that Kenwood is a favourite and excellent brand and has charged the Cordless Electric Knife and is looking forward to using it soon. I did happen to read one very negative review of this knife so am hoping that it was just bad luck for that person and that Kenwood or the seller were able to help that unhappy reviewer satisfactorily.
I am a little disappointed with the knife and have reverted to using a manual serrated knife. We also have an old Moulinex electric knife; it seems to work much better even though the blade lengths are about the same. The knife was bought to cut bread baked in a Breville bread machine. However I am continuing to use the manual knife. I seems to give better control over the thickness of the bread, and it also has a much longer blade.
Having to push 2 buttons 1 on top and 1 below not the best. Blade quite thin and flimsy / flexible which is great for a meat when cutting around bones but not on standard roasts. If its not charged enough you cannot plug it in for extra power as the lead is only for charging and not automatic power to give full strength. If fully charged it says it lasts 25 min but I dont agree as it didnt last for cutting 1 roast. On the upside blades are sharp for now. Feels like an inferior product not worth the money
I bought this a month ago and I am disappointed with my choice.I had been finding cutting soughdough bread very difficult and thought this knife would solve the problem. However, the second button on top of the knife needs to be pushed forward as well as pressed. This action puts too much stress on the thumb joint. After half a loaf and with a sore joint, I asked my husband to finish the loaf. He continued to slice the loaf and also stopped with a sore joint and will not use the knife again.
