AMAZING!!!!

I absolutely love this 7 cup food processor and have used it on a variety of ingredients to see what foods processed and chopped the best and which ones weren’t meant for it. So you have 2 sides I’d the disk, one is for grading and the other is for chopping in small rounds or whatever shape you cut the pieces into. I found that harder vegetables like carrots, raddish, celery worked the best. Other items like cheese for the grader didn’t work as well (might have better luck with a hard cheese like parmesan). The thing I love the most is that you can then flip the blade so it’s blending what’s in the blender after you chop or grade to get the consistency you want! Do NOT lift it by its handle!!!

Bought this in May 2018 from Sur La Table pretty much the moment it was released, and I was extremely excited because it was perfect: small, easy to take apart and clean in the dishwasher, and all the attachments store within it! (I sold the bigger KitchenAid I had bought shortly before.) We're just two people and don't have much need for a food processor, so it didn't see much use since, about 10-12 times a year. Used it to shred cabbage and carrots for cole slaw, cucumbers for tzatziki, and making hummus. I use my stand mixer for anything dough related, and I don't make pie crust. So, there's never been anything really heavy in it. I never dropped the cup or even banged it against anything. I managed to somehow put the round part that holds the lid on back into the handle, so the motor would start -- at first it didn't; it took a while to figure this out, but I was really not looking forward to scraping my half-made hummus out of the bowl. I realize the warranty has expired long ago, but is this product seriously destined for the landfill after only 50-60 uses? I am unable to find any replacement parts, though I would think a new bowl would do the trick, since everything else is still fine. It'd be great if only the handle could be replaced, but it doesn't seem that's an option.

Easy to use, compact yet powerful

This Food processor is very easy to use, clean, compact yet powerful. We mainly use the processor to chop almonds in our household. We love the pulse function as I can control the fineness of the nuts. The processor is very easy to clean as well. Everything fits in the dishwasher and you can even store the parts back to the machine, without taking up much space in the benchtop. The shredder is also very convenient to make shredded cucumber and carrot for salads. We also like that the lid comes with a latch to prevent explosion when the machine is being turned on. The bowl just clicks onto the machine and there’s no need to twist, as I often find it difficult to twist the bowl out of the machine in other brands. Great Mid Sized Kitchen Aid 7 Cup Food Precessor

A very nice light weight, takes up less space but does every thing that is required of a food processor. Nice and compact is a huge plus but it takes up less counter space as well. Great for making fresh salsa, you can use it for cutting veggie, shredding cheese, making bread crumbs and more. Parts are easily removed for cleaning and storage, it makes clean up a breeze and not a chore. I love the fact that it is nice and quiet but can handle the workload. It comes with 2 blades; one blade for chopping and the other one has dual functionality to shred and slice. I use to hand dice all of my vegetables , using this makes it so much easier on me and so saves so much time as well. Lifesaver!

I have only used this a few times and it is awesome! I make my dogs homemade dog food and this saves all my hand chopping the ingredients. I also used to previously hand shred my Parmesan and used this and it does a perfect job shredding my Parmesan cheese. I am not sure why I have waited so long to get this? I only gave it 4 stars because I am very disappointed kitchen aid chose to pay an actor Dylan Mulvaney as their representative. I recently purchased this product and my kitchen aid stand mixer before I had knowledge of this. I am a women with two grown children. Dylan does not represent me as a woman. He is acting, playing a part to be a woman. It is insulting. There are plenty of real everyday women and men that use your products, why not use them? This food processor is very classy and modern looking. You want to make sure the cord is through the notch on the back so the machine sits level on the counter. It has a powerful motor that makes slicing, chopping, or shredding a breeze. The bowl is very large, easy to snap in place and has a removable lid. You have to be sure to remove the lid before dumping the contents out or it will slide off. The top has 2 different sized openings to feed the food through. One is perfect for mini cucumbers as long as they aren't too big in some parts. I was able to slice a bag of 6 of them in about 15 seconds and they were all uniform slices. If you flip the top blade over, you can shred foods with ease. Terrible Faulty Motor!

Terrible. It just died... I estimate that I used it between 12-15 times over the course of only 2 years. I have made garden salsa, pesto and a pie crust (only once). The first time I used it (VERY light usage) it started smoking. Kitchenaid customer service (which I called for help) is NEVER HELPFUL btw. The motor on this unit can barely handle anything without smoking (smelling up the house and becoming a fire hazard) and I haven't even given it a hard task. Problems from day one. It is a shame because as others have noted, the unit is very well designed, I liked the ease of the buckle latching lid and the compact nature of this unit... but the motor is a joke... which pretty much makes it useless. User friendly and gets the job done fast!

This is my first food processor and I found this very user friendly. I was able to quickly put this to use in my kitchen and have successfully and more conveniently put together some wonderful recipes for my family of six. I have also cut some costs on my grocery spending by not having to spend extra on pre-sliced and grated cheeses. I am making greater use out of the vegetables in my garden. My only complaint is that I would like for the shoot on the top to be a little wider, but I can work around this by cutting things smaller so they'll fit. This is also easy to clean in the dishwasher, I just rinse off and clear out any remaining debris beforehand. It's also compact and does not take up a lot of shelf space. I enjoy using this food processor by KitchenAid, it's so convenient to have for meal preparation.
