Sturdy enough to tackle the most frozen ice cream. I think this would also work well with melons. Nice no-slip grip on the handle. I like the color, black--goes with everything.

I was gifted this product so that I could give an honest review. I had the perfect reason to buy ice cream to test out the scoop. The handle is coated and makes it easy to grip while scooping. It is very easy to use. I tried it out with ice cream fresh out of the freezer that hasn't had time to defrost a little and did not struggle to scoop the frozen ice cream. It would make a great addition to an ice cream basket with all the toppings and sprinkles included.

This is a great ice scooper, especially with summer approaching! I serve several different types of dessert is the summer, that include ice cream, and this scooper, really helps with putting the dessert out to guests. I recently served that old school peach melba, which is delish, to a small outdoor gathering, and the scooper did an excellent job, helping me create a nice looking desert. the weight of the scooper is great, and it feels good in hand. i like the way it fits into my gadget drawer, as well. I was gifted this product for my honest opinion.

I bought the Kitchen Aid Black & Stainless Steel Ice cream scoop about a month ago. My old ice cream scoop would bend when trying to use in cold ice cream & hubby was fed up with it. So we got this Kitchen Aid one & it’s been amazing. Very stylish looking & ergonomic! The handle is thick & easy to hold. No buckling under pressure here. Just evenly scooped ice cream every time! The KitchenAid ice cream scoop is so sturdy it will stand up to wear and tear for a long time! The handle is comfortable in my hands and very strong. The scoop will dig right into the ice cream. If it's frozen solid, just run the metal scoop under hot water and it will scoop very easily. It is easy to clean by hand or can be put in the dishwasher. Does a great job. We used this ice cream scoop by Kitchen Aid to dish up ice cream straight from the deep/big freezer and it worked like a charm! There was no need to temper/warm the ice cream before scooping, this scooper did the job quickly and efficiently. The hand is large, comfortable, and easily gripped due to its size and construction.
