Knipex Pliers Wrench, 250 mm Overall, 86 03 250
The adjustable wrench replaces a set of wrenches, both metric and imperial. The smooth jaws allow for gentle installation of surface-finished fittings and work directly on chrome. It is also excellent for gripping, holding, pressing, and bending workpieces. There is no edge damage to sensitive fittings due to the play-free, full-surface contact. The quick adjustment with a push of a button occurs directly on the workpiece. There is no unintentional adjustment of the gripping jaws and no slipping of the joint. The stroke between the gripping jaws enables quick tightening and loosening of screw connections using the ratchet principle. The high clamping force is achieved through a tenfold hand force amplification. Capacities: half-moon, mm², connection square, square, stepped square, triangular, clamping range hexagon, clamping range round, clamping range square, span width.

Awesome tool just got them 2 days ago. You can adjust to the size of the jaw on compressions using the printed numbers on the tool itself the 22 mark wouldn't be for a 22 nut but once you remember the corresponding number you don't even need to put it on the nut to get the size right as it closes a little when you squeeze the lever, saves a little time. I think i use 22 for a half-inch nut but don't quote me lol You can perform close to a ratcheting action to tighten those radiator tails and compression nuts by loosening your grip and allowing the jaws to slip over the nuts edge to the next flat surface and squeeze again. It's easy to overtighten compression joints with this tool so some care is needed. May not get under all boilers to loosen flow and return nuts ... MoreAwesome tool just got them 2 days ago. May not get under all boilers to loosen flow and return nuts but if it does fit it fits well without rounding off the nuts slipping and banging your knuckles or even worse cutting them. They are my go-to spanners now but I still use my Bahcos for access to some places I'm just more careful of smashing my knuckles. It's great for Jobbing, maintenance and installation work. I don't normally do reviews but I had to say something for my fellow engineers. I always look for a plumbers review when buying tools. You know what, I'm in a good mood now I may write some more reviews about other products, just the good stuff though lol.

Purchased this plier in Sept 2022The FIRST time I used it , to hold a stripped steel screw, the tip of the jaws chipped in 3 places, the metal is clearly not hardened, very disappointed of the value for what I paid. So I started a claim process and they want ME to pay for the shipping so it can be 'inspected'. Be very wary of the quality and customer service of Knipex. Last tool I will buy from them.

My dad had one of these and I used his all the time. When his toolbox was recently stolen, I decided I needed one for myself as I had become dependent on his. If you want a tool that will do it all and stand up to demanding use, this is for you. Yes, it is pricey but, you will not be disappointed. Once you get used to this tool, you will want to keep it on a lock and chain. I use this for everything from the kids bicycle to my motor home, motorcycle, car, truck and all sorts of plumbing tasks. This tool does it all and it won't beat up your hands. My dad can use it also.

Not the cheapest tools but, good quality, smaller set of general garage / women sized tools. Will last a lifetime if you look after them. I would recommend the larger, 200mm, for tradesman everyday use though. Would recommend.
This plier has smooth jaws and has a greater mechanical advantage for closing strength, it's good for using on flat surface nuts and bolts. It is made in Germany and is of high quality and easy to adjust. They come in a variety of sizes; I have many of them.
These are extremely handy when you don't want to drag out a bunch of combination wrenches. Puts the old adjustable wrench to shame. Incredible amount of holding power on whatever you're trying to tighten or loosen(I crushed a nickel in half with these just to see if they could). I work professionally on heavy equipment and these work great on all kinds of hydraulic fittings. Won't replace a set of combination wrenches or socket set, but are so much better than a pipe wrench or adjustable. Something to keep in your pocket when your laying under an 836H compactor on a landfill and don't want to make another trip to the service truck for another wrench(#trashjuice). If your looking at these then your'e clearly on the fence, just buy them and be happy. German made, ... MoreThese are extremely handy when you don't want to drag out a bunch of combination wrenches. Nothing i didn't like, everything i loved. I have used these ever since i got them and can't believe how many times these pliers came to the rescue. Just the other day i had to hold a nut in a hard to get to area. The wrenches didn't work, sockets didn't work and with this wrench i was able to hold it tight and had zero slippage. I had an off size (metric and sae wrench didn't fit right) tie rod that i had to hold and this wrench came to the rescue. I had about 6 different nuts (all different sizes) on a Oxy Acetylene set that i needed to check for tightness. Instead of grabbing 6 different wrenches this one pair of Pliers worked perfectly with no slippage. They don't leave marring on the nuts or bolts either. love em.
These things grab on fitting excellent. I use one of these for a fitting and have one standard channel lock for the pipe for running conduit. These are great on any bolt or coupling. Guess if I was going to complain, I would say you have to adjust the mouth very near the right size, and sometimes have to tweak it, but if its 10 fittings in a row same size you're good. The grip on a bolt it better than any wrench or pliers. They're kind of expensive, but good tools are expensive. It's worth it if you do alot with channel locks
Well made, sturdy and easy to adjust one handed. Great for plumbing and automotive repairs where you want to grab one tool instead of a bag of wrenches. Parallel jaws with plier gripping action provide secure non-marring on chrome and polished hex tube fittings. Provides more safe turning force than an open end or adjustable wrench because the plier action gives a more secure grip without danger of rounding the corners of the hex.
You know how they don't make tools like they used to? Knipex does. This is not your $3 harbor freight checkout aisle adjustable wrench. Yes, these are VERY expensive for a wrench/pliers (they operate like pliers that serve the purpose of an adjustable wrench in the shape of channel locks, lol). However, they are a precision crafted masterpiece of a tool that just works. You can apply real, actual force to the fastener you're working on without galling the s*it out of it like you would with vice grips / channel locks. They're like an adjustable wrench that isn't an utterly frustrating, cheap, POS. Bottom line, while they DON'T generally make tools like they used to, I really do consider these to be a MODERN heirloom tool. I never thought I'd be able to say that.
