Awesome tool just got them 2 days ago. You can adjust to the size of the jaw on compressions using the printed numbers on the tool itself the 22 mark wouldn't be for a 22 nut but once you remember the corresponding number you don't even need to put it on the nut to get the size right as it closes a little when you squeeze the lever, saves a little time. I think i use 22 for a half-inch nut but don't quote me lol You can perform close to a ratcheting action to tighten those radiator tails and compression nuts by loosening your grip and allowing the jaws to slip over the nuts edge to the next flat surface and squeeze again. It's easy to overtighten compression joints with this tool so some care is needed. May not get under all boilers to loosen flow and return nuts ... MoreAwesome tool just got them 2 days ago. May not get under all boilers to loosen flow and return nuts but if it does fit it fits well without rounding off the nuts slipping and banging your knuckles or even worse cutting them. They are my go-to spanners now but I still use my Bahcos for access to some places I'm just more careful of smashing my knuckles. It's great for Jobbing, maintenance and installation work. I don't normally do reviews but I had to say something for my fellow engineers. I always look for a plumbers review when buying tools. You know what, I'm in a good mood now I may write some more reviews about other products, just the good stuff though lol.

Purchased this plier in Sept 2022The FIRST time I used it , to hold a stripped steel screw, the tip of the jaws chipped in 3 places, the metal is clearly not hardened, very disappointed of the value for what I paid. So I started a claim process and they want ME to pay for the shipping so it can be 'inspected'. Be very wary of the quality and customer service of Knipex. Last tool I will buy from them.

Not the cheapest tools but, good quality, smaller set of general garage / women sized tools. Will last a lifetime if you look after them. I would recommend the larger, 200mm, for tradesman everyday use though. Would recommend.

This plier has smooth jaws and has a greater mechanical advantage for closing strength, it's good for using on flat surface nuts and bolts. It is made in Germany and is of high quality and easy to adjust. They come in a variety of sizes; I have many of them.
This is one of the essential tools that I would never want to be without. I was introduced to them by an Engineer friend nearly 25 years ago, and have always used them ever since. The secret is in the parallel motion of the jaws, which means that they grip nuts and bolts perfectly without rounding them. This is especially useful for polished or anodised unions and fittings. The harder you push, the tighter they grip. They are also good for pressing small components together (e.g. bearings into hubs or carriers) because of the parallel motion. Highly recommended!
Nothing i didn't like, everything i loved. I have used these ever since i got them and can't believe how many times these pliers came to the rescue. Just the other day i had to hold a nut in a hard to get to area. The wrenches didn't work, sockets didn't work and with this wrench i was able to hold it tight and had zero slippage. I had an off size (metric and sae wrench didn't fit right) tie rod that i had to hold and this wrench came to the rescue. I had about 6 different nuts (all different sizes) on a Oxy Acetylene set that i needed to check for tightness. Instead of grabbing 6 different wrenches this one pair of Pliers worked perfectly with no slippage. They don't leave marring on the nuts or bolts either. love em.
These are NOT pliers. This is a smooth jaw adjustable wrench for hex-head bolts and nuts. Brilliantly designed to actuate slightly so that the tool doesn't just fit perfectly, but actually grips and holds the hardware for absolute ZERO play. The jaws are on a slide rather than a hinge so that they stay parallel to each other no mater how close or how far apart you adjust them to. Construction quality is top grade.
Just amazing. They are a bit pricey, but if you think about it they are actually worth it. These pliers/open end wrench, could easily replace your wrenches with a far superior fit & grip on fasteners. It's infinite adjustability and "Grip" (within it's jaw capacity) lets you wrench on anything that can fit in it's jaws. The only thing that would make these better is if they were made of stainless steel.
These things grab on fitting excellent. I use one of these for a fitting and have one standard channel lock for the pipe for running conduit. These are great on any bolt or coupling. Guess if I was going to complain, I would say you have to adjust the mouth very near the right size, and sometimes have to tweak it, but if its 10 fittings in a row same size you're good. The grip on a bolt it better than any wrench or pliers. They're kind of expensive, but good tools are expensive. It's worth it if you do alot with channel locks
Well made, sturdy and easy to adjust one handed. Great for plumbing and automotive repairs where you want to grab one tool instead of a bag of wrenches. Parallel jaws with plier gripping action provide secure non-marring on chrome and polished hex tube fittings. Provides more safe turning force than an open end or adjustable wrench because the plier action gives a more secure grip without danger of rounding the corners of the hex.
