You know how photos from the 80s have that super saturated look and washed-out skin tones? It's not because the photos have faded; it's because of film like this. This is the oldest color film that Kodak still makes.Greens and blues are heavily saturated, while reds / oranges are subdued. This makes it great for landscapes, as well. Expect a noticeable amount of grain.

I have bought from these guys 2 years ago and got the film straight away. Though with the world wide film shortage, understandable that there is a wait. However, I waited for 10 months... I then decided to get give up and use this money for film at Walkens (They're great btw and not rude).Now, I dealt with Janette Ortiz and she claimed some film was sent to me. It wasn't. ColorPlus is my favourite colour negative 35mm film.For best results always give ColorPlus plenty of light. I always pull by 1 stop and rate at ISO100. Colours are more pastel, clearer and less saturated. If you shoot at box speed (ISO 200) the increased colour saturation makes the images look muddier.

ColorPlus is my favourite colour negative 35mm film.For best results always give ColorPlus plenty of light. I always pull by 1 stop and rate at ISO100. Colours are more pastel, clearer and less saturated. If you shoot at box speed (ISO 200) the increased colour saturation makes the images look muddier.
On a 24 shot roll, I got 15 shots I was happy with, a new record I think. I loved the results from this film. It was warm and saturated and had decent contrast with a fairly fine, unobtrusive grain. I think it was reasonably forgiving of exposure, but I think my camera underexposed a little and I lost some shadow detail. I was using this in a Zenit E with a Helios 44-2 lens, and I found the contrast to be a bit low, but I think that's the lens really as I've had the same issue with other films in it. However, I did find the film scans to be quite malleable in editing. The sample shots are all with a degree of contrast boost but no colour editing. I think this is the perfect film for summer days, sunsets etc.
I love this film stock since it both sales at a rather low price and produces great results. In my opinion, it especially excels in comparison to similarly-priced Kodak film stocks. It's not as contrast-y as Kodak UltraMax and I found that for my purposes, ISO 200 suffices for most purposes. And even though in general, Kodak ColorPlus is regarded as a rather warm film, that doesn't necessarily align with my experiences. It certainly is not as warm-washed as Kodak Gold and performs well in cooler or harsher light as well. Sadly it's hard to get these days, so make sure to get your hand on a few roles when you get the chance.
Kodacolor plus 200iso is the perfect film for everyday shooting. It's 200 iso makes it very flexible when shooting outside during the day with different shudder speeds and lighting conditions. It can also be shot indoors with all the lights on, or using a flash. The colors that are produced have good saturation that looks great in both prints and digital scans. The film has a medium grain that gives it the classic film look without being as intense as higher speed films. With rising film costs, the price of Kodacolor plus makes it a good choice for consumers versus the more expensive professional film stocks such as Ektar or Portra. This is why Kodacolor plus 200 continues to be my favorite choice for color photography.
As per the description, this film is silly, maddeningly, painfully hard to get hold of these days. Kodak have been undergoing some major expansion efforts out in the states and beyond to help facilitate higher production output figures, so we hear on the grapevine. So it'll be worth the wait, but I am poor as **** pretty much all the time so this little baby is my saving grace. Enough about economics.The film is great, really great, I love it. Annoyingly I shoot Portra a lot as a substitute for ColorPlus - which is even crazier. What even is that? Some shots were a little over and some a little under depending on the contrast but with plenty of room for adjustment in post if inclined.Besides a little hair in the gate that I didn't notice, I found the contrast really pleasing when slightly under and a little washed out when over but generally very forgiving. Some shots I thought wouldn't have near enough light to expose everything but came out lovely with a pleasing fine grain.
