These really are the world's best dog toy! It's a perfect slow feeder for dogs who bolt their food. It can be used with wet food, dry kibble, or a mixture of both. Stick it in the refrigerator or freezer to get a nice cooling effect for sore gums in teething puppies. It is a stimulating, problem solving puzzle for bored dogs, especially high energy dogs that always need something to do. The also work as a nice bouncy ball for fetch. A note for dogs who get frustrated with the Kongs at first, many dogs need encouragement to keep going. Even my food motivated little cookie monster needs a personal cheerleader on the home stretch. When she gets really frustrated she'll bring to me to give it a good shake to loosen things up if it's packed too tight. So don't just throw your dog the Kong and then wonder why they're not interested. Start easy with loosely packed food and then get harder. You actually have to put a little effort into training your dog how to use the Kong to get the best results. I bought 3 of these (large) for my 10 week old Staffweiler puppy who loves to chew and starts bouncing off the walls at 5:30am every morning. Less than 1 day and the 3 Classic Kongs I ordered have already been a lifesaver. She now takes half an hour to eat a meal instead of 30 seconds and she gets so into the meal that she chases the Kong all over the house, so she's running laps while eating her food. She's usually ready for a nap soon after a meal. If she's not, stuff some peanut butter in the Kong to get her going again and then she'll be tired out for sure. Love it!When looking at sizing options, get at least 1 size larger than you think you need. My pup is a big girl, but at 10 weeks she's still around 20lbs. She loves the large, but gets frustrated with the puppy Kong. I don't recommend much smaller than medium for small dogs. It would be too hard to get the food out. As it is, my pup will probably need XL or XXL by the time she is grown.

I’ll add a picture once I find the darn thing, but if you have a pup who destroys nearly every toy, this is not the one for them. I have a pitty mix and a beagle aussie mix and honestly the beagle is worse than the pitty when it comes to ruining toys. This did not last long. I gave it to them and they played normal at first and then started eating at it like it was a bone. I took it away for a few weeks. They were fine with it and didn’t pay much attention but when they did it was the same picking off the small rubber bits. Kong has some good products but unfortunately this wasn’t tough enough. My dogs tore this up to bad into the smallest little rubber pieces and they were everywhere. Be careful of your dogs swallowing them. I’m pretty sure the toy has 2 layers ... MoreI’ll add a picture once I find the darn thing, but if you have a pup who destroys nearly every toy, this is not the one for them. Some of you might have seen our most recent email a week or so ago highlighting some changes for the launch of this bar! The survey feedback you all provided was helpful for the actual chocolate, but also helpful for the format it's sold in! Below is an image of the results from the question "What quantity would you prefer the bars were sold?" Over 41% of all survey respondents said they wanted a 3-pack! So we heard you, listened to your wishes and will be selling our Salted Caramel Crunch in a 3-pack instead of our standard 6-pack. It's our hope that this helps with individuals that want to try the product first before committing to a larger quantity. You all have been a huge part in building our new bar and we thank you so much for being a part of it @everyone ... MoreSome of you might have seen our most recent email a week or so ago highlighting some changes for the launch of this bar! Kongs have saved many boring rainy days in my house. With 2 high energy dogs, I keep them in rotation in the freezer. Our favorite things to fill them with are #1 peanut butter always. #2 Canned Pumpkin #3 Plain yogurt. I always add either some of their kibble or some small treats to plug the bottom hole and then either make them with one ingredient or I layer in any of the above things for different tastes. I always put them in the freezer- it increases the longevity of finishing them- it offers a cooling off treat after a long walk or play. It’s great for their brain enrichment as well their teeth! Every dog should have a kong!
Both of my Corgis love their Kongs. We use them often as an alternate way to serve meals, or for relaxation and mental stimulation. If I’m aiming for the latter (really holding their attention for a period of time) I like to stuff the Kongs with sugar free peanut butter, mashed banana, or puréed pumpkin or carrot and add in treats, chunks of string cheese, etc. and then freeze it! The filling being frozen makes the task of getting it out more challenging. If I’m just using the Kong to feed a meal I’ll usually put their food inside and then ‘seal’ it with a bit of peanut butter. Either way they’re a hit and are in regular rotation for us. The classic Kongs are great, but won’t stand up to your pup if they’re a chewer. We needed to upgrade to the black tougher Kong ... MoreBoth of my Corgis love their Kongs. The Kong medium dog toy is a fantastic choice for medium-sized dogs! Its durable rubber material ensures it can withstand even the most enthusiastic chewers. The hollow center can be filled with treats or peanut butter, keeping dogs engaged and entertained for hours. The toy's bounce and unpredictable roll add an extra element of fun during playtime. As a pet owner, I appreciate the Kong's ability to promote dental health by gently cleaning my dog's teeth while they play. Overall, it's a reliable and entertaining toy that provides both mental and physical stimulation for medium-sized pups. Highly recommended!
Do you have a bored puppy? Is crate training a nightmare? Does your dog need mental stimulation? I cannot stress enough: KONG TOYS, PEOPLE! My Jabba is a basset so naturally he is very vocal and whiny and needs stimulation and to use his nose! My go to from day one was as follows: wet his kibble until it’s moist in the Kong, top with canned pumpkin or peanut butter, freeze. Voila! The perfect distraction! I had about 4 always in circulation during his puppy days and this toy is and always will be an absolute blessing to have, Not just for Jabba, but for my sanity! Now he will even play with them empty! Jabba tested, dog mom approved.
The Kong dog toy is the only toy I've found for my dog that last a long time. It is worth the money because my dog plays with it constantly. It doesn't come apart like other brands do. Also you can stick treats or peanut butter in the center for an extra treat. I usually only do that when he is in his crate as it can make a mess. Our family will conti ue to love this brand! Would recommend if you have a dog that chews up toys easily. King will last the test of time instead of having to replace a toy continously. I dont know what they make the rubber out of but uts extremely durable and tough to come apart unlike many other toys that are made. Try it out and let me know what you think. Recommended for bigger dogs with big teeth lol! Your dog and you will think me for it!

My four dogs can't chew the Kong classic medium dog toy up. Used the Kong classic medium dog toy at my house. Used the Kong classic medium dog toy date of November 11, 2022. I would recommend the Kong classic medium dog toy to my friends and family if they have dogs. I would have wanted to know what treats I could put in the Kong classic medium dog toy for my dog so it doesn't get stuck inside of the Kong classic medium dog toy. All four of my dogs love the Kong toys cause they get a treat inside most of them. I just wish they came in more colors than just three. I wish I would have gotten the treats with the Kong classic medium dog toy. I think that every dog should have a Kong classic medium dog toy in there life at some point.
