My Staffy, Lucie, couldn't be happier! I ordered a medium size Kong Safestix for her, and it has proven to be a wild success. She is highly motivated to run and fetch, so is getting heaps of great exercise; we are improving her drop it skills; and I feel so much happier that she isn't getting a potentially harmful mouthful of splintered wood as she grabs the stick. The medium size is perfect for tug of war, or running around with a friend; and the bright red colour is easy to spot in the grass, so we haven't lost it yet!

We were initially happy with this one as it survived the first day with our 7months old lab (he normally destroys everything in the first hour). It lasted a couple of weeks and eventually fell apart yesterday. Quite disappointed because we trusted Kong. They seem to be the only toys that can sustain our pups chewing. However, this one might be good for a gentle chewer.

A Golden Retriever, a Mini Australian Shepard and a mutt about the size of the Mini Aussie. They love these things! I have to have two of the toys in play at all times as the Mini Aussie is a toy hog and simply runs around with it in his mouth and won't share. This chew stick was an absolute lifesaver when my puppy Rozko began going through a really bad chewing phase and started tearing up everything in sight. Itās made of a tough and durable material that is easy to clean off, and is perfect for playing fetch with. I would def recommend this product!
I bought this dog toy to stick into a large Jolly Ball to replace the 1-inch rope our dog, Maggie, chewed up. We did not want to replace the rope because she would eat through it. KONG's toys are durable, so I decide to try the Safestix. I secured one end of the Safestix in the ball and tossed it to Maggie. She grabbed the Safestix and ran with it. She chews on the Safestix everyday, but she has not damaged the Safestix where she chews. Maggie is a serious chewer and destroys most toys. KONG toys seem to hold up better.
Kong SafeStix is the most incredible toy ever. Not a chew toy, but an exercise toy! My German Shepherd lives to play the game of "stick". We throw, he brings back, repeat, repeat, repeat!! He loves to see how many of these he can hold in his mouth. When he was a puppy he would collect actual sticks from the yard, and wanted to chew and chase these. Very dangerous to play this game with real sticks!! SafeStix is our game, and he can makes some pretty spectacular catches!
Our retriever puppy loves to pick at every toy we buy him until he's destroyed/shredded it. There are no little bits on this to be picked at so he couldn't and its lasted weeks, we have just bought another as the first one has just started to break! If your dog picks at toys like ours does then I would recommend. Can't speak for super powerful chewers though
Two Austrailian Cattle dogs, alpha has the whole toy, sidekick uses a broken one. They go out after every meal and practice backbitting. With toy in mouth, dog fangs are covered. Sidekick pokes alpha and she spins beating her sides with the toy. Great fun for backbitting dogs.

They loved to play tug of war with me or with each other. This is our 3rd one. I lost and then found the first one(medium size) under an outdoor cabinet where it had been for at least 8 months. Meanwhile, I found a second one at the vetās āstoreā. It is green. Unfortunately it blends into the green grass and is very hard to find. I can Tell the dogs to āfind itā and they will run the entire two acres until they find it and bring it back to me. I just found a large red one at the vets again. If your dog plays 'rough' you need toys that are tough! This is one of the best dog-proof toys I have bought. It is quite solid yet flexible, clearly hard wearing, easy to use be it for throwing or for playing tug with your dog. I recommend it. (Maybe I should now get a dog ...) The fact that I keep it just by the door in case I need to confront the local scum and bike thieves is just a coincidental bonus. Likewise, the one I have in my car and the one I carry on my bike perhaps indicates that I think it is a good value-for-money, solid, useful, multipurpose item. Size Large is best as it gives you a 70cm reach, perfect for 'swinging around'.
