Kreg SK04 Pocket-Hole Screw Starter Kit

This is a solid set for someone new to the pocket hole world. I picked this up while I work on a few projects and get used to the Kreg 720 jig. This is my first time messing with these as a DIYer, so I didn't want to invest in too large of a pack of any given size of screw just yet. A good entry point to get your feet wet.

Love this little tool so easy to use.Great-great instructions on how to measure and what size screws to use. I got the clamp designed to go with it. The clamp work perfectly too. The screw kit had exactly what I needed.

Being the first time owner of a pocket hole jig, I was especially pleased with my 520 Pro Kreg pocket hole jig. The screw starter kit was exactly what I needed to get started.

This kit is a great value and has the expected quality of the Kreg products! I purchased this kit because it was a good savings over being forced to buy separate large boxes that contain more screws than I really needed. I have my own sorting box full of screws of all types and just ran low on a few. This is the true Kreg quality and has saved me money overall. I did not really need the kit box but is is also useful otherwise; I will find another use for it. Lowes and Kreg does it right for sure on this one!

Love the Kreg Jig!

I ordered the K4 Kreg Jig and absolutely loved it! Wish I had it for my previous builds. Worked like a charm. I’m not a pro but an avid DIY’er and like to play around with wood. My daughter bought a used Crate & Barrel table for $20 that was in pretty bad shape. A dog had urinated all over the base! We basically rebuilt the entire table, making it counter-height and only reusing the wine rack piece and refinishing the table top. So much fun!

It was a huge machine but it did exactly that make diagonal holes for an invisible mate of two or more pieces of wood. Twenty years later Kreg came out with a device that could fit into your pocket and did the amazing. But even then it was hard to find the box head screws it takes to bring me back to those days as an apprentice cabinet maker. I had a hard time tracking down the screws and one day I was browsing the shelves of Home Depot and low and behold I found the Kreg pocket-hole screw Starter Set. Essentially a box with six different sizes of screws specifically made to partner with the Kreg Screw Jig. Well, you know I had to get that box and weeks after that day I rediscovered the box but to my disappointment the screws in the six individual boxes had settled and what I found were four(4) containers full of screws and two(2) containers about a third full. In my excitement of finding the screws I assumed the reason the two containers that only held thirty screws each must of been all they could fit and that is the case if you don't lay the screws in the same direction, but by the time I re-found the box, the contents has settled and I discovered something different then what I thought I was getting because as it turns out, they could have put fifty screws in every box. Buyer be ware, a great company is only great when it does more then the marketing department tells you you can get away with.

Tool is great. Store label was pasted over the stew set and tore the Kreg label. Doesn’t affect the tools function but the plastic screw kit box looks a little shabby. Not KREG’s fault. Would have bought another but this East he only one the store had.

multiple uses . already thinking of my next project

a little bit of a learning curve but you get the hang of it pretty quick.It works really well, You do have to keep an eye on the depth otherwise there isn’t enough meat for the screw to be retained. Especially on plywood. I have not tried it on solid wood yet But it’s got to be great . Should of bought one years ago
