I don’t normally write reviews, but I was puzzled by the few low reviews for the Renegade (Klassik fit). If you’re a person who scours reviews when deciding on a purchase I would advise you not to put too much weight into the few low reviews for these pants. I have a difficult time finding pants that fit me well both comfortably and cosmetically (they feel and look good, and fit true to size). They are my go to pants for hiking a mountain, doing ruck marches, etc… i.e., they are highly durable and functional. I boxed up most of my other pants and now cycle through the four pairs of Renegades I own, with a scant few other models, for daily wear. I have an *healthy* behind and, as I wrote before, it can be difficult for me to find pants that are both comfortable and look good. Buying these in the size I normally wear (34/30) has been spot on (for me).-Gideon

I have many pairs Kuhl Renegade Rock pants. I love them and wear them almost every day. BUT they recently discontinued the old version and 'updated' these - and largely ruined them. They use to fit fairly slim, now they are baggy. And they just fit weird - like the waist is oddly high now. I don't understand what they were going for here.I also don't know why brands mess with hugely popular products. You don't need to change just for the sake of change. If a product is popular and loved, let it continue to be popular and loved. In any case, I am returning the multiple pairs I bought and will need to find a new default pair of pants to wear :(.Side note: I also just tried the shorts version, and they have the same problem.

I purchased these pants because I loved the first pair that I bought, and I have made several other purchases from Kuhl. However, this pair had an enormous hole in the front right pocket that I did not realize was there until I wore them for the first time. I will have it repaired on my own, but I thought that I would warn people to check before purchasing. For the price, I thought that this would not happen. Thanks.

Feel like Kuhl is missing in depth reviews so here we go. Size- I'm 5'9 wear a 32/32 weight 190ish well built. These fit well move well and have good stretch. I have worn pairs bouldering and multi pitch climbing they show little to no abrasion marks. They breath well enough for me but where I live doesn't get crazy hot or humid. They taper slightly more then some other kuhl pants I have I prefer these. Side pockets for me are the best thing about kuhl. These have additional side zipper pockets that work well for a passport etc.
I have always been a big fan of Revolver Rogue and Resistor Lite pants. I took a chance in Renegade Rock Pants and was really dissatisfied.I always order 33/32in all pants, and they have always fit well and were comfortable. The Renegade Rock's were not. It felt as tough I had been shipped smaller size. I got on the scale to see if I had gained weight, I hadn't. I tried on my other Kuhl products to see if they still fit, they did. The waist on these pants is unforgiving, and the crotch is tight as well. I always love Kuhl products, these pants not so much.
Not the pants they used to be. I purchased a pair of renegade pants a few years back. They are still my favorite go to for any back country adventures in almost all weather conditions. I wear them daily for the work I do. The original were perfect in every way. Finally decided I needed to get another pair only to discover they have been turned into super tight fitting hipster pants. I’m not talking about the tapered fit either. I purchased the Klassik fit only to find that even the klassik fit has a taper to it. I work hiking and biking and climbing in the mountains every day, I’m not some body builder, but when you hike like I do your legs get big!! If I wanted to feel restricted in all my movements I would just wear wranglers. If I wanted my pants to be skin tight ... MoreNot the pants they used to be. I am 6’1” and 180 lbs. wear a size 34\32 is it really that much to ask for a full fitting pant that’s not made by carhartt.
I must, sadly, agree with sone of the other reviewers who noted that this pant went from perfect to poor. The fit of my first pair (green khaki or a kind of burnt olive) are simply the best fitting pants in my dresser. I tried them on at REI and though the tag seemed large for me at 34 waist, the fit suggested otherwise. I then ordered a second pair in a pinkish tone in the same size and they were huge. Baggy and unattractive in a way I would never pick off the shelf. Not sure if the latest colorway is like the first or the secobd pair I got snd I probably never will. Not only is Kuhl's quality control/design department asleep at the wheel, the company still doesnt manufacture their pants in Fair Trade factories meaning that your "adventure" psnts are likely made ... MoreI must, sadly, agree with sone of the other reviewers who noted that this pant went from perfect to poor. A outstanding pant. I am 6’ 2” and 175 lbs. I bought a 34 x32” pant with Klassik fit. It is a perfect fit. This pant is very well constructed and is made to last a very long time. I plan on buying 2 more pair. You will not be disappointed if you purchase this pant. It is very comfortable and weather resistant. Which makes it outstanding!
Every once in a while you find a style of clothing that works so well for you that you wind up buying multiples of that model, in different colors. Renegade is that model of pants for me. I currently own 6 pairs of Renegade pants, and I’m am likely going to be buying a few more (in different colors). Why? Because they are the most comfortable, practical and cool looking pants I’ve ever owned. As far as use of pants, while I do enjoy a nice hike on occasion, I’m more of an urban adventurer. Living and working in NY, I find the pants perfect for my treks through the city, with it’s durable fabric material and it’s Many pockets that hold all the little things that make my life easier. Renegade, I’m so happy I found you!
Rocks, thorns, even jaguar teeth probably fail to scratch these things. They're indestructible so far. Very comfortable. though heavier than some of my other pairs, they make up for it in increased toughness. If I'm going in a rockier or thornier area these are the go-to. If I'm doing more laying around or casual hiking, I'd prefer a lighter pair just because, but it's not like these wouldn't perform just fine at that as well. Really solid stuff, pretty much what I've come to expect from Kuhl but even better.
