I received a sample of the KylieSkin Vitamin C Serum with a purchase. I have used it daily for a few weeks and I can’t see any change in my skin. It is thin and lightweight. It feels good going on and it absorbs quickly. I do not notice any scent with the product. It’s possible that I just need to use it for a longer period of time, but the sample bottle is empty and I would not purchase it or recommend it based on my usage of the product.

Like most I fell for millennial pink packaging and the Karjenner hype. This product made me except they’re selling very cheap, basic and unstable formulas in this skincare line. The whole collection is flat out offensive to anyone any age who has a positive goal in mind for skincare. If you can get past the fact that it smells like dog beef rawhide chews and the cystic acne it causes I applaud you. I couldn’t. Props for packaging zero props for product and lack formulation effort. Side note why are we not even getting a full 1oz of this product which is standard for serums…. With those pumps it offers if you shockingly rebuy it’ll be after a week. Kylie girl you need to scrap this line.

This is a great product overall. Good, clean, stable ingredients. A lot of people complain of the product having an off-putting odor. It definitely has a distinct scent, but after the first few uses, you don’t notice it. I have very sensitized, rosacea-prone skin. Although this product did NOT improve my redness when used consistently for three months, it did aid in hydration and texture. Morning and most nights (after cleansing), I spritz my face with a mineralizing thermal water and apply Kylie’s Vitamin C Serum atop—while my skin is still damp. I don’t find that this product pills or balls-up when layered under other products. The title of my review is “Almost There”, because they have not mastered the packaging. I like to be able to tell when I am running low on a product, so I know when to reorder. It’s a guessing game with this stuff, because it comes in a glass bottle with a pump. Even when removing the pump and looking in, it is very hard to tell what’s left. Also, this packaging doesn’t allow you to use every last drop of the serum. I even tip the bottle upside down and pat it on my hand (like glass ketchup bottles), in attempt to get out the remainder of the serum. This works until it doesn’t. Every single time, I am left wondering how much product and money was left in the bottle. PLEASE fix your poor packaging and you will have a solid, brag-worthy product.

Can't believe I love a Kylie product
6 July 2021

I didn't want to buy this initially because of the brand (nothing against Kylie, I just usually don't like celebrity skincare lines) but this works fantastic. I looked up the ingredients in incidecoder and this has a vitamin c alternative that's more stable and ferulic acid as well. The combination of those two ingredients helps create a nice antioxidant matrix and protects against free radicals. I use this in the morning underneath sunscreen so the vitamin c can help protect against sun damage (I also use Niacinamide and Salicylic acid as well). I've found that my acne scars started to lighten, my overall texture is smoother, and my skin is brighter. The texture of this serum is light and absorbs right into the skin. Don't Waste Your Money!
9 July 2023

I had high hopes for this serum. First thing that turned me off was the scent, it was a very unappealing smell. Packaging was cheap plastic, Kylie Cosmetics should do better with ALL of their packaging, btw! Then, after two weeks, I noticed that this product did absolutely nothing for my skin! I will stick to my Derma e Vitamin C Serum because their price is right and I see results!

I can't believe this product has any negative reviews. To preface, this is a completely unbiased review. I had been using another vitamin c serum from another company that was formulated with ascorbic acid. It oxidized super quickly no matter how careful I was keeping it out of heat/air/light. It would just sit on my skin, never absorb, make my face sticky, and turn my hands orange. This was a highly reviewed, dermatologist-recommended product. So I did more research and found that the fat-soluble form of vitamin c (tetrahexyl something) is much more stable and penetrates the dermis better and came across kylie's product. This is such a good product, y'all. It's not watery like other vitamin c serums, it's very light and absorbs so quickly. Also love the price point. I am so impressed. I will buy this again.

Good stuff, bad smell…
5 October 2021

I’m torn because I know the serum is a brightening serum, that’s why I bought it. However, most or ALL rather, have the worst smell. It’s Almost a light sulfur smell, but that is the component that lightens dark spots. But I hate it. I have never finished a bottle of any brightener because they all smell horrid. This one is no exception, It smells bad too. But again, that’s the brightening serum. Is it effective? I’d say yes, but I need a couple more weeks to see if my spots will lighten up more. I just wish it had a nice smell, then it would be so much more pleasant!

Has a funny smell. Just lays on top of skin. Don’t waste your money. So many better products out there. Tried many this one is a loss. Not sure what’s happened to this company but quality in all products have gone way down. Such a shame. So dissatisfied. No help from customer service when I called.

Where is the Vitamin C?
29 September 2022

The formula dries down very matte - strange for a serum but not totally unpleasant - perhaps targeting teenage skin? There is no information ANYWHERE (on the product packaging or online) as to the % concentration of Vitamin C in this product. The paler, dryer texture than most Vitamin C serums and lack of info on this tells me there isn't very much Vitamin C there at all. I think this is a basic serum, not terrible, but nowhere close to what it is claiming to be. I'm very disappointed that Kylie Skin products are stocked at Mecca, I think it cheapens Mecca. I believe this calibre of skincare is better placed with retailers like Priceline/Chemist Warehouse and considering the average age of Kylie's fans, this would make more sense. I uphold Mecca as a more refined ... MoreThe formula dries down very matte - strange for a serum but not totally unpleasant - perhaps targeting teenage skin? Hopefully this line doesn't remain there long or I will start to question Mecca's business model.

Worked Wonders on me !!
18 August 2022

I have very VERY dry skin that feels tight. I have been trying to find a proper skin care routine so I decided to try my first ever serum which is this and it did wonders for me !! The first time I put it on it left my face very glowy and looked hydrating. After day 3, I noticed the redness in my chin from acne start fading away a bit which I am so glad !! The product goes on your skin very smoothly and does not feel sticky whatsoever. Everyone is talking about the smell and I do have to admit, it made me a bit skeptical about the product, but personally it did become a bearable smell haha. But overall the product did great, the only thing that upsets me is how little product it is, can't complain too much tho, it still worked great haha.
