This is the second time around that I have purchased fo L'Oreal Paris Preference Permanent Hair Colour - 9.1 Viking (Intense, fade-defying colour) and it’s my go to colour from now on in! The best way to discribe the colour is cream and honey with more cream than the honey lol . It takes away any brassy blonde you may have had on your hair as it does have a great balance of ash in it to do so.I get complemented everyday on my colour people ask me if it’s natural or am I just lucky to have such gorgeous hair. I tell them they bottled my colour when I was a kid so mynatural colour is just available now so I can turnback time hahaha! Being a natural red (amber) haired person it has always been difficult to find a product either expensive or not, that resembles my natural shade. Red hair grabs the red in products giving an unwanted bright glow and on the other hand it goes too brown. I saw Bali Rose and thought I’d give it go and I’ve been so impressed that I bought multiple to keep in the cupboard. Beautiful natural colour and leaves your hair soft and a nice healthy shine.

Hi there. I had ton on my hair, burgundy red. Wasn't happy with result so weekend night had to run to Chemist warehouse to fix the problem myself:) I've chosen Loreal 5.3 Golden brown. First of all, it's so easy to apply! And has oil inhaince.One month as I've used. Colour stays as on the box. My hair is shiny, looks healthy. Impressed with the result and quality.Highly recommended!!!

I have been using this Product, Preference Alaska 10.21 for years and are very happy with the results. Hairdressers have complimented on the colour many times.My hair colour is very light blonde going on white grey. My hair always looks glossy and soft.I dont understand the poor reviews, either uou are using a different colour or product or the wrong colour for your hair.
I have been colouring my hair for 40 years. I know what I'm doing. My hair was medium ash blonde and I wanted to warm it up, hence why I selected this shade. I followed the directions to the letter, used two packs as my hair is long and thick. I had 3 cms of grey regrowth. I now have light purple regrowth and brassy tones everywhere else. I've now wasted the cost of two packs of this revolting colour and hours of my time to try and fix this mess. To say I'm disappointed would be a huge understatement.
This colour box had saved my hair and $$$$ from salon appointment after lockdown , I had a awful experience from olia rose gold was ruined my balayage hair into patchy shocking pink! I was rushed get this L’OréalBali dark rose , and I stand by for the worst result , turned out perfect! It has a violet hue darker when my hair’s wet and get ashy when it dries and boost shines ! I had toned it with keracolor honey and platinum conditioner then it gets golden, lighter and blushySave your money and your time especially if you have a long thick mane like mineHighly recommend
Bought this in shade Helsinki which is meant to be a really light blonde. Left it on for almost an hour (box says 20-30 minutes but I wasn’t noticing any change at that stage). My hair is a dirty blonde at the roots and the ends are a darker bleach blonde and match the before photos on the box- this SHOULD have lightened my hair or possibly at the very least turned it a slightly ashy blonde? But it did nothing at all… if anything it just darkened the already bleached hair and didn’t lift at all, this is the worst hair dye I’ve ever used and wasted my money, do not recommend for blondes at all.
I have been buying this product for many years as it has been the perfect Light Ash Blonde and has kept my hair in good condition. The packaging has changed from Viking to “Oslo” with the claim “New Look New Name (BEFORE,VIKING) Same Shade”. This is absolutely false... this is now a sandy blonde... ie it throws Gold tones, NOT Ash. Loreal no longer offers an Ash Blonde at all. They have done the same with the Excellence Cream range. AWFUL COLOUR!!!!! One star and really shouldn’t get that for the blatant lie on the product. The product in addition now dries out my hair terribly. What on earth??? Why make a great product into a terrible product???? Bizarre.
Not sure why the reviews for this colour are so bad. I had very dark brown hair, and did a bleach bath , not to my roots, a careful planned one, and then washed it out. I used this right after, and kept it in for the WHOLE recommended time. This is important. If you leave it in for less you will go pink, or maybe purple (this happened to me in the past with this product because I freaked out). I washed it out after 30 min and had dark rose gold hair. In the sunshine then was a few tiny strands that were more pink but boo hoo to them because the rest was perfect. It got rid of the brassiness of my bleached hair and some bits were almost white at the ends- a nice surprise. It really toned my hair and I’ll see how it goes after many washes but I’m happy with the result.
During lockdown my very light brown roots and greys came through. The rest of my hair is salon highlighted ash blonde. My hair dresser said to me if I was to do my roots at home between salon visits then to use a ash blonde so I thought I’d give this a go in a desperate situation. The colour turned my light brown regrow tangerine orange and didn’t even cover my greys. I have since been back to my hair dresser and it will take a few more salon dyes to get it back to light brown/ash blonde. Obviously a warm blonde, not an ash blood at all.
