La Mer - The Hydrating Facial

Hands down THE richest sheet mask I've ever used! I was expecting the liquid in here to be like a serum, but it's literally like a tub of thick moisturizer with 2 sheet masks thrown in as an afterthought. From the moment I opened the packaging for the upper and lower mask pieces I could see the sheet within the transparent plastic tray, covered in a thick milky essence. I swiped a little bit off the tray itself, as there was plenty of excess, and rubbed it into the back of my hand. The texture was very rich, even oily, and not just on my hand... after I'd applied the mask for 10 minutes and removed it, there were large patches of the liquid still sat on my skin that hadn't been absorbed (tells me this would suit dry-dehydrated skin very well) and as per instructions ... MoreHands down THE richest sheet mask I've ever used! Unlike SK2 masks for example, I didn't find that there was tons of essence left over, it was just sufficient for the single use. I used this straight after a hot shower which is the only time my skin feels parched, but despite that and even once massaged in there was still an oily layer all over my face. Luckily, said heaviness did not equate to acne by the next morning, although having said that I wouldn't like to risk using this on consecutive nights, and at this price point nor would I be inclined to! Did it help relieve the dry, tight feeling on my face after my hot shower? Yes, and then some! All that saturation also gave me a nice dewy glow for the next couple of hours until I got into bed and awoke to my regular-looking skin. But...I could very easily achieve similar results from other brands, without the oiliness and most definitely without the price tag ($250 for 6 pieces). I didn't find the actual sheet mask itself to be of good quality which is disappointing when you're spending this kind of money. In fact it dried right up before the 8 minutes application time was even over and the quality of it just felt cheap. The packaging itself however was luxurious and good quality. Bottom line: If you are veering more towards mature, dry and non-sensitive (it contains fragrance and Eucalyptus oil among other potential irritants) then you might just find this to be a godsend. If you need hydration it will hydrate - make no mistake about that! For most other skin types (and pockets) there's lots of other alternatives out there that are just as good if not better. -- My Top 10 Beauty Must-Haves

I can't say enough good things about Beauty Affairs. I've been a loyal customer now for about three years and can't fault their delivery - it feels like I get VIP Express Post when I just make a regular order. I (now) do a lot of online shopping across the board (clothes, shoes, beauty, etc.) and Beauty Affairs stand out from every other vendor I have shopped with throughout COVID as fast, reliable, and essentially flawless in their supply chain when even the previously-good-ones have slowly fallen victim throughout 2021 to COVID disruptions and delays. Whatever they're doing, it works! I will only shop elsewhere for beauty, cosmetics, and perfume on the odd occasion they don't stock a brand I want, but apart from that, I say: MECCA, who? Sephora, what? ^.^

I have always loved the fast service of Beauty Affairs with free samples with my orders. Last month my shampoo bottle broke in the post and leaked everywhere. When I advised Beauty Affairs they sent a new bottle straight away free of charge. Unfortunately this order did not arrive so when I advised them of this Anna at Client Care sent me a new bottle straight away but along with this she also sent me the matching conditioner, and my favourite full cleanser to say sorry. I have not experienced such amazing customer service in a long time. I’ve always had amazing service from Beauty Affairs and will not buy my beauty products anywhere else

I've been increasingly using Beauty Affairs over some of the other e-commerce websites like Look fantastic and Strawberry net. Not only are they comparable on price their customer service blows the others out of the water. As soon as you have an issue that requires customer service to be, involved you notice the huge difference. Beauty Affairs went to lengths to resolve an issue where I purchased the incorrect skincare product while on offer. The process of exchanging it, even though the product wasn't on offer anymore, was very easy and definitely far better than my experience with other sites.

I've shopped at Beauty Affairs for a few years now without a problem, however last week my package was stolen- at the fault of the courier. I purchased around $200+ of skincare and was completely devastated when it happened, as I didn't think I would be able to get it resent or refunded because it wasn't Beauty Affair’s fault. I contacted them and to my surprise, they immediately offered to resend or refund my purchase, not only that but they included a gift! I have never had such exceptional customer service from any other company in my whole life! I had a very good experience with Lorena from customer support. I was querying the cost of Youngblood mineral makeup on live chat (excellent product by the way) of which I had bought 2. The cost of the item displayed for sale appeared less than the final checkout price. It turned out the sale price was for a particular color but this was unclear on the page. Lorena looked into the discrepancy immediately and after explaining the reason, offed to give me a refund on that particular sale to compensate for the confusion. She was polite and considerate throughout. It’s good to know that such a fabulous Aussie company has such lovely staff!

I have found my holy grail! My thin, bleached, dry hair, was left feeling so hydrated, silky and shiny. Usually moisturizing shampoo and conditioners weigh my hair down but this is the first range I have found that has left my hair looking so healthy, moisturized and full of volume. My hair has never looked or felt healthier and contains no nasties or silicones. Love it, the best on the market!

But really I wanted to come here and give thanks and my 5 stars to Beauty Affairs! In this current climate (covid) it’s been tough.... I’m a mum of three with a small baby and a child with special needs who as anyone in NSW would know r home doing school.... shops aren’t open anyway and I have been in real need of a “glow up” Beauty Affairs helped me! How? First off, they have great customer service! They’re very friendly and get back to you straight away (given it is within working hours) the pack it and send it and I honestly receive it the next morning! To me those are two of the most important things! I can’t go out I don’t have time to do anything... I appreciate anyone who can get me my stuff quick and who actually get back to you! I just have to take a moment to give a shout-out to the team over Beauty Affairs and this awesome little (perhaps not so little :)) company. EVERY time I place an order, it's always perfect. A real treat

This provides a really luxurious treat for me and the skin feels hydrated after. The mask is split into 2 halves (lower and upper face) and is visibly soaked in thick creamy serum. The two pieces make it easy to adjust to fit well. On the skin it feels lovely and cooling and continues to even if left on longer than the recommended 8 minutes. It doesn’t tighten or become uncomfortable. I think it’s better used at night or on a stay at home no make-up day as the serum sits on the skin for a while once removed. I can get a second use out of it if I store it carefully but it’s not quite as luxurious the second time. There’s quite a bit of excess product in the packet after use that I rub into the neck and décolletage.
