Farfalle Rigate. Thank you to the hard-working people in Campobasso, Italy, for producing this top quality short pasta. There must be a crack, creativity team because there seems to be a different shape pasta for every day of the year lately, and then some! If the "La Molisana" team make it, it seems to be excellent quality. I had never eaten farfalle 'rigate' (striped). These do that extra little job of grabbing on to your sauce that little bit more. The products are usually "VeganOK". That's good!Woolies branded pastas are also extremely good lately, so I should be saying that I'm disappointed that this particular product is being imported from overseas. Yes, I should... so while it is still available, I will continue to indulge...

Tasty Tasty Pasta. This is the second time trying the La Molisana range, and the first trying the white pasta. Again, the initial impressions of the range are exceptional with incredible well presented packaging giving a sense of pasta at the high end of the market without the matching price point. The pasta itself is perfectly ridged on one side to hold the sauce onto the pasta which you don't find in many other pasta brands. The only improvement I could suggest would be to the cooking instructions. Whilst it is plastered all over the sides of the packaging that it cooks in 10 minutes, the cooking instructions do not clearly articulate a rough cooking time, just cook until it's cooked. I'm converted to trying more products in this range.

This pasta is both an excellent size and quality and The ridges on it are not only attractive but really grab the sauce ensuring the pasta is evenly coated in your chosen sauce!Vegan friendly which is a plus!Made from Durum Wheat Semolina $2:80 for 500g for such a high quality Italian pasta is very reasonable indeed, sure we all want Australian but pasta from Italy is not something I can really complain about as is traditionally theirs after all! Having already sampled the Tagliatelle in this brand I was keen to try some other varieties so grabbed a couple of packets while on special at half price of $1. 40This time it was Farfelle Rigate and immediately noticed the ribbing on one side of the "butterflies" which meant the sauce will hang on to the pasta well!The use by date was 3 years stamped on the packageso a top product to carry in the pantry. The only ingredients are Durum wheat and semolina. I quite like the colouring of the packaging in this La Molisana pasta range with the Italian wording as well as English makes it more authentic. It does state that it cooks in 10 minutes but it took several minutes longer to cook.... about the same time as most dried pastas. So this time I decided to make my Pastaslaw Salad and use the last half of my coleslaw sample as well. We both agreed the flavour of this pasta was superior to other brands I've used in this dish and loved how the ribbing collected the dressing as well. And the salad looked quite "pretty" with the butterfly shapes!!I will continue to buy this product when it comes on special to keep my stock supply up! ... and recommend this to you all.

Delish. OMG fussy eaters loved it. The texture was great. Didnt take long to cook. My daughter is super fussy when it comes to pasta but she lived these, right down to the fact that the bows held the sauce good as she said. And they didnt fall apart or become soft and soggy. Husband said it was a good texture and not a icky pasta taste. A huge hit here. Would love to see a gluten free version as well down the track. Cant wait to try out other shapes now in this brand. Packaging gives an appearance of being pricey with out a big price tag although it is more cost then the usual homebrand pasta we use.

Great pasta! I found this to be a really nice pasta to use. It's similar to other 'bow tie' pastas, however with the variation on one side it seems to hold the sauce really well and the slightly thicker pasta made for a great meal. With a great price tag attached I would definitely be interested in purchasing again. Only problem I had was the choice of packaging. Since it is a plastic-paper combination this meant it had to be thrown in the bin. I try to purchase products that are packaged in something that can easily be recycled (Even if it's the soft plastic that can go into redcycle).

I must say that they do look even fancier with these ridges I cooked these for a few minutes longer than instructed 10 minutes as I like my pasta a little softer than al dente. The pack comes with a resealable sticker should you choose to only cook a portion of the pasta but I cooked the whole pack at once. The pack suggests that there are 5 servings in this pack and it’s pretty spot on. We had enough for 2. 5 meals each! Or 4 adult meals and 2 smaller toddler meals I served these with an apricot fish dish and they were lovely. I will most definitely purchase these farfalle again

La Molisa-nice. First time to try pasta from La Molisana and I wasn’t disappointed. It’s a very nice pasta inside and out. Packaging is resealable and looks neat. You can peak thru the plastic part if the pasta noodles are broken or whole. Cooking is good, short for only 10mins. Make sure to put salt on the boiling water. Tastes nice, like al dente, just make sure to follow cooking time so that it doesn’t stick together when left for a period of time. Good size and thickness. Price is reasonable, although more expensive than homebrand but cheaper than the more traditional brands. I will buy it again to serve on special occasions.

Exciting new product. Took a while to try this out as family is fussy on pasta types/ shapes. Used this last week and very happy with so it's on the radar to replace with when needed next. Easy to locate on shelf. Packaging bright and interesting. A little bit awkward but probably a little more environmentally friendly than most with paper combination, but it is a little difficult to keep closed if you don't use the whole packet. Took a while to cook but decent firm al dente pasta. Held shape beautifully and even though we dressed with sauce it really didn't need it as has a lovely filling nuttiness taste to it on it's own. Absolute winner in those cold pasta salads for sure.

An estimated cooking time would be helpful as this is about 4 minutes longer than the brand of pasta I normally buy (probably because it's a bit thicker). Australia grows some of the best wheat in the world and there are multiple excellent locally grown and made pasta brands (eg L'Abruzzese, I Pastai) as well as Woolworths brand (which is Australian made and grown and also very acceptable quality)I wouldn't buy this as I'd rather buy an Australian product, but I will happily finish off the rest of the packet.
