This has saved my skin! I already use the effaclar face wash, mild exfoliator and moisturiser which has worked wonders for my combination, acne prone skin (I wouldn’t use anything else now!) but found my skin was dull and dry (although acne free 95% of the time). Wasn’t sure what to do to combat this but this moisturiser has left my skin soft, glowing and softened my wrinkles and fine lines. 100% recommend. These results are after only one week of using and no breakouts so far! It’s a brilliant product!

Great moisturiser and sun protection all in one application. It's easily absorbed, feels lightweight and only has a very slight perfume, suits my slightly sensitive skin and doesn't make me sneeze! I started using it in winter, so my cheeks were dry from cold and wind exposure, and found that along with offering sun protection, this sunscreen has the consistency of a thick moisturiser that sinks into the skin. I love using this sunscreen. I use it solo most days in the AM. It’s so lightweight and hydrating. Great on my excessively dry skin. No cast, no super shine, but a nice glow.This is the first sunscreen that neither dries out my already dry skin out (like mineral ones do) nor gives me a rash (most chemical ones do).I will say it does pill a little with certain concealers and foundations (which is odd, as they are also water based ones). The texture of the suncream is amazing, its really moisturising and easily absorbed into the skin (& doesn’t leave a residue) - so on that front it’s 5*/10/10. However the pilling is simply ridiculous. It pills with or without make up, leaving little white balls on your face and décolletage. When I first tried this cream I thought it was going to be my holy grail suncream (& because of the texture and creaminess I still want it to be!) but the pilling makes it almost unusable. Ive never had a LRP fail before so I bulk bought using a Boots offer, but when I finish my current stash I won’t be repurchasingBack to the Shaka then!
I’ve been using this since it was launched last year - and now wouldn’t be without it. It gives excellent protection but is light and non- greasy. It feels like a moisturiser should (so not like a ‘sunscreen’ heavy feel which is so off putting). I use it in the winter as well as the summer. I find it to be an excellent base for makeup. It’s best to wait a few minutes after applying a serum and then another few minutes before applying make up - I haven’t had any pilling.
I bought this with high expectations after reading amazing reviews online about it on the Boots website it cost me £25 but I got a double points offer. I doesn't do anything extra for ageing at all you might as well just buy the ordinary.Reasons I was not happy about buying this product1) it balls up on your face2) it seems to pile up and graduating to your hairline so it looks like you have dandruff even with a very small amount of product evenly applied!3) For me it seems to just sit on the surface of my skin and not sink in.4) leaves white cast5) Not cheap for a b class product that's not even cruelty free I won't be buying again or endorsing this to any other buyers.Please don't spend your money.
I have always used very high end anti aging skincare such as La Mer and Sisley spending hundreds of pounds on a single product. I believed my skin needed these products as I am 48. I was wrong. My skin just needed nourishment and protection. This product has done more for my skin than anything else I have ever used. I am still surprised at the difference in my skin. I use this alone, not even a serum and my skin has not looked this good for many years. I used to have prophilo treatments to help with skin texture but now I no longer need it. This product does everything for me and has made my skincare routine so quick and easy now. Highly reccomend for aging skin that needs to regain smoothness, firmness, smaller pores and fewer lines.
I have sensitive skin which burns easily and has reacted badly to previous facial sunscreens, coming up in a bumpy rash. This stuff is amazing. Goes on beautifully (I don't even bother with moisturiser when I use it) and does really well under makeup. It smells nice but not too strongly. It definitely protects from the sun. Recently I spent two hours in direct sun in the afternoon having applied this at 7am. I burnt badly on my neck where I hadn't applied any but my face was absolutely fine. I am just reordering as I don't want to run out!
