La Roche Posay Soothing Lotion 200ml

The toner soothes the skin, removes makeup residues and cleanses. The consistency of the tonic is like water, the aroma is light, barely tangible, pleasant. The toner does not leave stickiness, oily content, discomfort, does not tighten the skin. I would not call it moisturizing, after its use the skin is not tightened, but I do not feel hydration and nourishment either. I absolutely LOVE this toner. I bought it after reading the reviews and I am so happy I did. I, too, was on accutane for 8 months before I got married, and my skin has been mostly clear until recently. I am 23 and was having bad breakouts again, so I decided to go ahead and try this miracle toner and IT WORKS! I have been using it for 3 weeks now (once a day at night) and my skin has totally cleared up and looks brighter. Thank you La Roche Posay for making this!! My skin is extremely sensitive, I break out any time I try any kind of new product, but I am so thankful that didn't happen this time around. I will probably try more of your products after trying this one.

This is an excellent toner. I have very sensitive dry/combination skin. I require a toner that removes any remaining cleanser, balances the ph of my skin and helps other skincare products absorb well into the skin without irritating my skin. This product does all of that perfectly. Unlike a lot of other toners, this product does not remove moisture from my skin or further dry it out. It does not contain any alcohol or other ingredients that strip the skin of moisture. It actually feels nourishing and soothing. I have used this toner for 3 months and I will continue to use it in the future. It is the ideal toner for my skin type. I highly recommend it!

Best toner I have ever used.

I was after a new Toner due to I used to buy a more expensive brand but it was starting to sting and seemed to be drying my skin out a bit more. My chemist at the time suggested this brand and it was more than half the price of the one I was using.I have been using this for nearly a year now and it's perfect as my skin does get sensitive to certain products these days.This toner is perfect in every way. Great for sensitive skin sufferers, it is also soap and alcohol free. There is no strong fragrance for sensitive noses like me. It is a very fresh, light and clean fragrance.I have used Toners since a teenager and would be lost without using one now. It is hydrating, non stinging and it doesn't have a greasy or sticking feeling on application. It's so lightweight on your skin.Generous plastic container with a flip top lid and a small hole which I just place my make-up pad onto. You don't need a lot to apply to your cleansed skin either.The lotion feels very soothing on your skin and dries quickly too so I am able to apply my night cream or day cream with ease.I tend to use a toner morning and night and I have done this for years so will keep doing it.This toner is definitely affordable for under $30 and it does last a long time till you need to buy another one.I would highly recommend this product. I absolutely love mine and not changing for anything else.

Big Difference-Lightweight-Glowing Skin

I bought this toner recently, and I was pleasantly surprised with the results. It gives my skin a nice glow, and my moisturizer and sunscreen go on much smoother and nicer onto my skin. I also noticed it reduced the oiliness of my skin and my skin looks much more supple. My acne topical cream can make my skin dry, so these results are encouraging! I saw other reviews commenting on the fragrance; however, I find the scent is quite subtle and you barely notice it, which is great because I don't like when a product's scent is overpowering. So, if you're worried about the fragrance, it is not overbearing at all.

Disappointed

I've been using La Roche-Possay Foaming Water for a few years and I absolutely love it! So I thought I'd give this lotion a try as a Step 2 in my cleansing routine, instead of my usual Japanese lotion.Unfortunately I am quite disappointed. I like the gentle smell of it and how it leaves my skin matte after using it, but it doesn't do a good job removing makeup at all.Also it totally destroys the makeup pad in the process. It just starts fraying and falling apart, leaving fibers on my skin, which doesn't happen when I'm using my usual lotion.I regret buying this product and definitely won't buy it again.

Gentle on sensitive skin

I have sensitive skin but a toner is an important part of my skincare routine. I feel it is needed and don't want to skip that step, as long as I can find a good toner that is gentle on my sensitive skin. This is good toner, it's hydrating and also leaves my skin feeling thoroughly cleansed and free of any residue. It never stings or irritates my skin, even when I have used a strong exfoliant or mask beforehand. It does exactly what it promises and soothes my skin.It may be a bit expensive for a toner depending on what your budget limits are, but in this case you pay for what you get. I always have a spare bottle in my bathroom cupboard and wouldn't use anything else.

Gentle to my acne, one of my holy grails!

I was first introduced to the brand through a friend and at the time my skin was at its worst, I had very aggressive acne especially around my cheeks and wearing a mask had irritated it even more. I was skeptical as previous toners were either too harsh and stripping or did not do well at all but I decided to give it a try! At first I didn't notice much of a difference and only really noticed how it didn't burn or tighten my skin (which was a good sign it wasn't too harsh!) then after a week or so I noticed how much more refreshing my face looked in the morning and how it didn't feel so stripped of moisture. After a two months of continuous use I finally finished my first bottle and I am impressed! Holy Grail Toner

I'm a huge skincare junkie and use a lot of products and this is one of the few that I can simply never be without. I've been using it for 10 years after I cleanse or any time I have a reaction (much better than thermal water for calming, IMO). It is so soothing, lightweight and makes my skin so comfortable. It is multi-functional: Accidentally use too alkaline a cleanser? Spritz on some of this! Leave that glycolic peel on too long? Splash on some on! Need to rush out of the house in a hurry? Swipe some of this across your face - no need to wash. Skin just feeling tight and uncomfortable? Apply this before your serum/moisturizer and your skin will thank you. If La Roche Posay ever discontinued this or changed it I would lose my mind (and my nice skin).

Soothing and not drying

I have just finished my first bottle and will be purchasing again. I previously used effaclar clarifying lotion. I find this less drying yet I don’t feel compromised in my anti blemish routine. I have menopausal hormonal breakouts. Not bad breakouts but the effaclar range helps that. I use this after the effaclar cleansing gel and before Duo moisturiser.
