La Roche-Posay Toleriane Ultra Light Soothing Fluid 40ml

I am pretty disappointed that I am giving this product 3 stores for this review. \n\nI have been lucky enough to review quite a few products now through Beauty Crew, but I was especially excited to try this and the Toleriane Ultra Overnight lotion and the cleanser from La Roche-Posay. I am a fan of the brand - the Anthelios XL Ultra-Light Fluid SPF 50+ sunscreen is in my top 3 facial sunscreens and their Thermal Water is a work desk staple. \n\nI haven't changed up my cleanser and moisturiser in my skincare routine (for day and night) for a while but I always like trying new products. I am a fan of the brand - the Anthelios XL Ultra-Light Fluid SPF 50+ sunscreen is in my top 3 facial sunscreens and their Thermal Water is a work desk staple. \n\nI haven't changed up my cleanser and moisturiser in my skincare routine (for day and night) for a while but I always like trying new products. I wasn't worried about trying these products as I understand that their ingredients are relatively gentle so I wasn't worried about introducing these new products into my routine. Unfortunately, one of these/a combination of/all of these products were not good to my skin. I started to get a couple of pimples on my chin and a few closed comedones started to pop up where my pores are on both sides of my nose. I wasn't happy. \n\nI stopped using them for a couple of days and got rid of the pimples and comedones with my normal treatment products. After my skin calmed down, I reintroduced one of the products back into the routine at a time to see if it was indeed those products and unfortunately, the same results occurred. \n\nI appreciated that there wasn't a strong scent with the product, the packaging was nice and it felt gentle on the skin but I won't continue to use them. \n

I do have oily skin which has almost constant hormonal acne in my chin and jaw area. Some moisturisers aren’t suited to acne and can indeed cause more inflammation or aggravation. So I need a light moisturiser that’s absorbs easily, doesn’t leave a residue, one that hydrates but doesn’t flare up my acne. I enjoyed using this moisturiser but it didn’t tick all the boxes. Creating something that hydrates the skin, without causing irritation in those with sensitive skin, all the while working in harmony with acne prone skin can be a big feat I understand. While the moisturiser provodeda good dose of moisturisation for my skin and didn’t flare aggravate my acne, I felt like it did leave my skin with a little more shine at the end of the day than what I like. It did feel slightly tacky after application which is usually something that gets on my nerves given my very oily skin. This moisturiser also doesn’t have SPF, I suspect due to targeting those with sensitive skin, but it does mean using an extra step in your morning routine to provide sun protection. I feel like this would be a good moisturiser for those with drier skin, and clear of acne.

A winter winner

I absolutely love this lovely product. It absorbs incredibly well and my skin feels completely nourished and protected. The packaging is really neat and different to usual products so no lid and no spills or losing excess product. I really like it. I would say it’s not a great base for make up so use your primer if you are using foundation otherwise to reduce shine. Also, for those with irritated skin this will not break you out. It’s really effective from the off.

Couldn’t live without this cream

Having suffered with Contact Dermatitis for many years and having tried so many creams, only to discover I have an allergic reaction to some of the ingredients, it has been a huge relief to discover Toleriane Ultra soothing Fluid. I actually couldn’t live without it now, it relieves the itch and makes my skin feel comfortable to live in.During the first lockdown I had to send photos of my body, to my GP. Looking at those photos now makes me shudder…… it was truly awful and took several months to bring everything under control.THANK YOU LAROCHE-POSAY

Exceptionally Good lotion

I’ve been using a high strength retinol and had the red face, taught, dry burning skin. I bought this as it’s reviews state great for sensitive skin. Wow it’s amazing. I initially used a hydrating moisturiser on top of the retinol which made the stinging and burning worse.This when applied has no stinging, burning or other negative reactions. In fact it immediately calmed the affects of retinol and replaced the moisture and immediately soothed the unwanted side effects of retinol.Would highly recommend this product it’s amazing.

Fantastic fluid for the dry and sweaty types

The best thing about this cream is that it feels good, a little goes a long way and it gets the job done ie. it hydrates and rejuvenates the skin. It's extremely light and sits comfortably on the skin. Unlike other creams, it doesn't feel heavy long after application and I don't sweat after applying it. It successfully prevents my eczema, which is my biggest concernIf I compare this to the cream version, I would say the fluid is great for the summer and the cream better for the winter when the air tends to be dry and you need a heavier layer of protection.

Good for the daytime or those with oily skin

I received this a month ago and from initial use it seems very light. Due to this, I would say it is perfect for someone with oilier skin than me. The formula goes on light and doesn’t feel like a silicone slip like other moisturisers for oilier skin. It does feel soothing which is great if you are feeling a little irritated during the day but don’t want to apply a thick barrier repair cream until the evening. Fast absorbing due to its light texture. Overall it is good product. I think I will probably get the cream instead as it wasn’t suited to my drier skin, but I can see it being perfect for a teen with oily and allergic skin.

Great, lightweight moisturiser

I like using this moisturiser in the evening as it is lightweight and feels like my skin is hydrated. I mix it with my retinoic acid and it doesn't irritate my skin but it provides a nice base to mix with.I like the pump action as it makes sure that I don't use too much or waste any.The packaging is really simple and I like the size of the product. It doesn't take up too much space with my other toiletries.I'd recommend this for anyone that has oily skin and is looking for a lightweight moisturiser that glides on the skin.

Not improved!

Old formula much nicer. New formula is tacky and stings eyes. Use the toleriane sensitive creme in the summer which is lovely but not enough moisture for the winter so tried the toleriane sensitive creme riche which feels good going on but dries quite matt. If something works why change it?
