Having both the SE and Asad I can say that these are so close that I couldn't with a straight face encourage anyone to spend the money on Dior's SE. In fact I prefer Asad to SE because it comes off a little softer to my nose. SE is great but it has a very bright opening for myself and it can sometimes lend to olfactory fatigue and minor headache when I wear it (same with Sauvage EDP, which is my favorite of the flankers). This perfume smells good, and I’m happy I have it. It’s outside of my usual scent profile, which is usually oud, inscence, saffron, vanilla, rose, etc. A lot of the scents I usually love, unfortunately don’t work the best in warmer weather. I live in WA state, so I can get away with wearing my usual scents like 8-9 months out of the year. For Summer, though, I do like try and use more light and fresh scents like musk and citrus. This works great for summer, and it’s also good as a layering perfume. I like to layer this with vanilla or rose perfumes. I would recommend that you purchase this perfume. It’s definitely not my favorite, but it’s practical and smells good.

That said, the honest opinion I have to give, is when you first spray, the scent is very nice, sweet, sensual, warm with the potential of being great if it stayed that way. After that fades it simply smells like the big old yellow toned Dial soap and doesn't come off until you wash it off in the shower.
