I have been using my Le Creuset for 60 years! It was given to me by my mom when I got married. I have always loved it and always use it. There is a distinct difference in the taste of anything you cook that is better than any other set of cookware. I accidentally found this out the first time when I had a French Dinner Party and cooked Coq au Van in 2 caseroles One being Le Creuset. The other just a good cookware. The difference was astounding !!! I gave the guests the one in the Le Creuset and family the other! They raved about the dinner non stop. I have never had anything happen to any one of them. I highly recommend this product ! Who ever heard of something lasting that long!!!!

It showed up 6 months late and now does not work. My daughter purchased this for me for Christmas in 2021. It was supposed to ship within 2 weeks but it arrived 6 months later June 27th 2022. Now it has been a year and a half later and the spout cover will not stay up when I pour water. This makes it impossible to pour hot water without using two hands, the one holding the spout back gets scalded by the steam. I attempted to order this Le Creuset Demi Teakettle. On the item description and order page it read: "Limited Time Offer Extra 20% Off. Use Code: EXTRA at checkout. Final Sale."When I attempted to order this, it did not accept the EXTRA code. I called Williams-Sonoma's Customer Service and was on hold for 15 minutes. The representative was pleasant and agreed with me that it was misleading but there was nothing she could do.While I understand the discount did not apply to all Williams-Sonoma items, the discount was specified on this item. This is clearly false advertising. I will not be making anymore purchases at Williams-Sonoma.

However there are few things I'm not so pleased about compared to my old Revere stainless steel copper-bottom kettle. The main issues are It's heavier and the shape and handle are tall, which make it more difficult to pick up for a short person or anyone with shoulder or arm problems. The thickness and the small bottom area make it take longer to heat up, which, besides the time factor, also uses more gas or electricity. Minor issues: the capacity is less; the whistle tip is slightly less convenient to open; and I'm afraid of accidentally banging it and chipping the enamel or accidentally having the flame too high and scorching the bottom and sides. Other reviews have complained about water spitting out when pouring. It's probably due to (1) overfilling and (2) pouring super high boiling water immediately into a cup. Just give it a second or two. I have not had any problems with this kettle or the design. The instructions have a diagram of how high the water should be filled. If you follow this it works perfectly. I have an electric stove (non smooth top)I love the design, the whistle is loud and stainless is easy to keep sparkling.You won't regret this purchase.
I got this sturdy stockpot in the cerise to match my other Le Creuset pieces. I love it, especially the height. It came carefully packaged in an outside cardboard box and then in its own Le Creuset box. Everything was perfect on the pot. I did have trouble getting the sticker off. The utensils are excellent. They came in an unmarked box inside the outer cardboard box beside the Le Creuset box. I will make stock, boil chicken, and cook pasta in it. I'm so happy with it!

I wouldn't really say the color is a deep teal because I think of teal as being a little more green, but it is a really nice blue color with a nice ombre gradation, going from darker at the bottom to lighter at the top. We have a flat electric cooktop, and we normally add a couple of cups of water to the kettle, so it doesn't take much time to heat up. The kettle does whistle, and it is quite loud. The stainless steel lip takes in water and is impossible to dry, I already have a slight rust stain under the ridge top enamel. It also will release fluid while boiling which can cross contaminate other meals. Especially when using it for brewing kombucha. Any cross contamination can and will cause live culture to die. When I brewing my tea, I must continue to wipe brown water that leaks from underneath folded stainless, especially at the seam where the circumference meets. This represents poor manufacture and is not up to traditional Le Crueset standards. I have pieces I inherited from the 60s and 70s and the enamel seems thicker. I have used thos piece 5 times and it is already starting to discolor under rim enamel. Le Creuset stainless steel small tea kettle is just perfect! Very good looking tea kettle. When you want one cup or two, this is the perfect size since it is not too heavy to lift and pour the water into your cup. It heats the water very quickly and retains the heat in the water if you use only enough for one cup and then want a second cup the water is still hot. The whistle is a nice feature. I like that the handle moves down so you can easily fill the kettle and then move the handle back up. Bloomingdale's had it come from Le Creuset and it was delivered very quickly and in perfect condition. I know I can always depend on Bloomingdale's for my shopping. Bloomingdale's the best!
