The Leatherman Charge + is the best multitool made. It does much the same stuff in the same form factor as the Leatherman Wave +, but is subdued for use in a tactical environment and uses CM 154 steel for the knife blade to extend its life and reduce the need for sharpening. This tool is indespensable for everyday carry. It isnt going to fail on you when you need it most. Unless you have some very specific jobs like SWAT or infantry (Get the Leatherman MUT) or if you are EOD (Leatherman MUT EOD) this is get.

Purchased a Charge + Black and sheath and as the website listing is incorrect regarding the sheath supplied I phoned to ensure I would be receiving the correct items. Having spent 15 minutes in conversation with someone who actually hand wrote on the invoice my requirements, the order was still sent incorrectly. I ordered and paid for another, as it was needed at short notice for a present and this order was forwarded okay. I returned the original for a refund which was processed in the wrong amount and which I then had to chase up. Fantastic product. Heavy duty with great features. The only reason I’m not giving a 5star is because the engraving/personalisation isn’t immediately visible. I’d liked it to have had a bit more depth so it was easier to see. Other than that I’m happy with this product.
Bought this as a christmas present that was requested for work purposes. The quality looks good, the engraving that was an optional extra, was an added bonus. So I am positive this fits the bill.
My partner was over the moon with his gift.He loves the quality feel to the piece and each of its components, exquisite piece of engineering. The engraving was a lovey personal touch too.
I have a Leatherman surge that has been way too big for carrying everyday. I wanted one that was lighter and smaller. I chose the Charge+ as it has a nice look to it and good tool selection and it is definitely light. I originally was figuring on the wave+ but it wasn’t in stock. Glad I got the charge+
Wasn't sure about this one, and even less when I first opened it, but after break-in, it works great. Was very stiff when I first got it, but now after a few weeks of use, everything works great. Specially like the locking feature and that the wire cutter blades are replaceable (haven't needed to replace yet, but see how that will prolong the life of this tool.) Use it around the job site and taken it with me fishing. Overall, the quality you would expect from Leatherman.
Top of of the line in design, the Charge + is a premium multitool. Tools inside are identical to the Wave+, but with some upgraded specs, the anodized handles, gut hook on the serrated blade, and a 154cm knife blade. A bit of price jump from the wave, but totally worth it!

I'm typically more of a Victorinox fan due to their untouchable degree of fit and finish, but I had a Wave for a number of years before parting with it, and a Skeletool for a brief time before realizing it didn't quite have enough tools for my EDC, so I can appreciate the more "rough" and utilitarian nature of Leatherman multitools.With the Charge+, however, any history of lack of finishing touch or refinement has been almost completely alleviated. Individual tools (I'm looking at you, mostly, plier heads) come out clean and don't look scraped and scratched immediately, and the action of unfolding the handles to deploy the pliers is honestly smoother and nicer feeling than any other multitool I've ever ... I keep a Pelican 1910 in the larger left side sleeve and the Leatherman bit driver extender in the smaller right side one.(In addition, I took the tweezers, toothpick, pen, and straight pin from a Victorinox Compact and squeeze them in there strategically, too, and I have a little self-contained EDC pouch that has everything I could ever reasonably need for an urban and light day hiking carry. I've included pictures of this setup.)The only slightly weird thing about the unit I received (which isn't enough of a deal to deduct a star) is that I don't know where MEC got the description they're using for the included bits, because mine sadly doesn't have any Robertson bits (but does have two Pozi bits, interestingly and basically uselessly). Also I was happy to see the hex bits are the metric equivalents of the imperial sizes in the description.Overall, I'm very happy and very certain this will be my every day carry tool system for a long time.
