Leatherman SUPERTOOL 300 Nylon Sheath
The Leatherman Super Tool 300 is a powerhouse in the smallest space. The large pliers are one of the strongest Leatherman has ever made, and they give enough power to produce enough torque to handle the toughest problems. The handle with bevelled ends allows the pliers to be inserted further into tight spaces than any other Leatherman Multi-Tool. Thanks to the large recesses on the side, the individual tools can be easily folded out - even when wearing gloves. New are the exchangeable wire cutter inserts, which can be sharpened with the file itself.

Let me tell you if my son hadn't have purchased it for me I would returned it for a CHARGE TTi.But like I started of saying my ST 300 is my old friend and constant go to. There are many reasons why but for the most important reason is the reliability and quality.I purchased a Surge with the intention of switching to it. Although the tool is every bit equal to the ST 300. I have found the weight is more and that keeps me from switching out.

Ive owned and used a Wave for 8 years and decided to make the jump to a bigger tool, I settled on the ST300 as its replacement. The ST300 is comfortable in the hand and the classical design is simple to clean, use, and mod. The ST300 is not much heavier than the Wave but quite a bit lighter than the surge. The tools on it are all slightly larger than on the Wave and interestingly due to the t-shank adapter on the surge the file and wood saw both have a decent amount more usable cutting length than on the Surge. One other thing to note is even though the ST300 is a large tool the plier head has nearly the same dimensions, except for the length, as the Wave's so despite it being larger and more powerful it still retains much of the "agility" of the Wave plier head. As much as like the ST300 I had to mod mine to get the tools on it I saw fit hence the 4 stars (also the screws used to hold it together are a joke), I purchased both an ST300M and an ST300 EOD. I used the ST300M frame and mashed the two together, I'm left with a standard awl, bit driver, small flat head (for use on rotary tool bits and carburetor screws), the massive ST300M pry bar, combo edge blade, wood saw, file, the t-shank adapter for hack saw blades, and of course the pliers. Its now have a highly capable tool and that performs very well. The only thing missing is a pocket clip... When compared to other multi tools from other brands I've researched and used Leatherman's have consistently been more capable, more useful, and higher quality. The ST300 is the pinnacle of plier based multi tools, no gimmicks just ready to do work.

I had an old Leatherman pocket tool. Don’t remember how long ago, but at least 20 years old. One of the compartment tool broke off. I called the warranty department and explained what happened to my Leatherman tool. The warranty representative said, send it in and they will fix it.I just received the Leatherman pocket tool today and I was surprised since they sent me a new model of it. Apparently, they don’t make the one I had since it’s too old. Now I have another 25 years warranty with this one.I just want to say thank you for your staff and I really appreciate no hassle process. I really love your customer service and the warranty that really works. I will enjoy the new Leatherman for many years to come.Again, thank you very much and I really appreciate it.

My husband has had several different Leatherman tools over the last 30 years. It doesn't matter if he's going to work, church, a doctors appt. or the grocery store. If he leaves the house his Leatherman is on his belt. I wish I had a dime for everytime someone's asked him over the years, "Got your Leatherman with you?" Just for my husband to respond with "Never leave home without it." The Super Tool is by far his favorite. He says it has the perfect amount and variety of tools on it for any job. When he has to send it in for repairs or adjustments he's just not himself until it's returned. Our daughters & I purchased this second one for him for Father's Day this year. When he has to send it in for repairs or adjustments he's just not himself until it's returned. Our daughters & I purchased this second one for him for Father's Day this year. This way he has a back-up Leatherman to use while one's "in the shop." We had this one customized a bit. When I got it out of the mail it was simply a work of functional art. My husband loves it, as he has all his Leatherman tools. Very nice job guys & gals! Keep up the great work!
I purchased the SuperTool 300 as a Christmas gift for my dad. I paid extra for speedy shipping and the tool arrived in record time. I had customized it with a picture of my dad and me son, his first (and so far only) grandson. On my computer screen and on my phone, the image was distinct, but when the tool arrived, you could barely make out the image. It was so faint. My dad couldn't even tell what it was. Still a great tool and my dad really appreciated the effort, but I was really disappointed. I do highly recommend the tool. It has a great weight and an impressive amount of tools. I know it'll last. Dad keeps it in his truck for emergencies and enjoys having it.
Overall quality is OK. Good pliers and wire cutters. The features are pretty good. My Free P2 has far more comfortable handles when using the pliers. My disappointment comes from the quality of the tools. I've only had the Super Tool 300 for a week, and have already broke the tip off one of the screwdrivers. Broke tightening a hose clamp (not strenuous work). My Free P2 has a broken knife tip. My opinion is the metal used for the tools is too brittle. I have a Gerber that I bought 15 years ago that has held up better than either the Super Tool, or the Free.
I use my leatherman tools everyday. I even pack one in my luggage on vacation. (not a carryon). I have narrowed down my choices to the surge and the super tool 300. I have used these tools for over 30 years and no others are as well built. I consider them equal in comfort and quality as my Snap-on hand tools. The warranty and the service is awesome! I love the surge and would probably only use it however; Although it’s convenient to be able to change out the driver tip and the saw if you break or dull them I’m hard on the tools and like I stated I use them constantly and those seem to slip out when it gets broken in. I never use the scissors so a fixed file would be more useful. That being said the 300 is almost perfect. I have changed a wheel bearing on a tri axle ... MoreI use my leatherman tools everyday. I have changed a wheel bearing on a tri axle trailer on the side of the highway with nothing but my 300, a rock and a piece of wood. It has real usable gripping power and the perfect combination of fixed tools. If they make the Surge with the same fixed Equipment as the 300 I would say that would be the perfect combination until then the 300 will never leave you stranded!
The Leatherman Super Tool 300: A heavy duty tool, in most cases to much for the casual users. It is built very solid. The screw driver bits are thick and sturdy. The largest flat / slotted head is almost to much for most slotted heads (great scraper). The straight edge knife blade is OK, it works but needed to be sharper (sharpened), I.M.O. The serrated blade is very good and sharp. The pliers are excellent, sturdy no flex with common size nuts & hex head bolts up to 1/2", beyond 1/2" it becomes a dexterity task to function appropriately. The wire cutters work and are VERY good; especially with the replaceable cutting blades. I hsve NOT used the crimping section on the pliers. The can opener (P-38 style) works but it is tricky to keep lined up. The file works as expected, it files. I have NOT used the wood saw yet.. it looks aggressive enough to cut 1-2" diameter pieces. This may not be the best " one handed multi-tool... however it is one of the sturdiest multipliers I own... This ST300 took over for a Gerber MP600 ... retired, no failures = excellent one handed tool. I do recommend this item for extra heavy duty "multi-plier use". It is a caught off guard / back-up tool. Do not expect any multi-tool to meet the standards of regular hand tool functionality ... That said, this Super Tool 300 is very close.
I have been carrying a Leatherman Super Tool 300 for close to 30 years and here is why. After all of these years there is yet to be a multi tool made that can match what the Super Tool 300 delivers. I am a former EMT, a US Marine veteran, and an avid woodsman/outdoorsman. First let me say the fact that all the tools on the Super Tool 300 are permanently attached and lock, set this tool above all other multi tools. Second the serrated blade is the most under rated tool in all of the multi tool market. Here is why. The type of person that carry’s this tool is the one you want with you in an emergency. The fact that the serrated blade locks in place and is a completely separate tool is vital in an emergency situation. If you are in an emergency situation and there is no one else around this blade will quickly cut through a seatbelt and or clothing, straps, and or ropes better than most other blades. The regular blade can perform all camp tasks well. For the woodsman the fact that the saw locks in place is a vital safety feature to prevent injury. This is also do to the fact that the back of the blade is a perfect fit for fire starting with a ferro rod. The assortment of tools provided makes work around camp much safer and more enjoyable due to having to create less tools off the landscape. The can opener being more like the traditional John Wayne is great for not just can opening but to side in lifting and moving hot pots off the fire. The bottle opener doubles for this purpose as well. All of the tools perform well and add functionality to any task. The bottom line to me is that the safety, reliability and the fact that all the tools lock along with the perfect set and combination of tools, and the fact that the tools are permanently attached truly sets this tool above the rest. For these reasons I have purchased them for my son and grandsons. Thank you Leatherman for all the years with such a great tool.
I had an original leatherman tool that I carried all the time and used it all the time over the last 20+ years. One of the best purchases I have ever made. I broke it a few weeks ago. I went online to see if I could replace it with the same tool. I saw the warranty information and sent it in for repair or replacement. It was easy. Leatherman does not make the original anymore but sent me a replacement that is very close to it, the 300 model and a new sheath. This is an excellent company to deal with that makes superb products. Thank you.
