LED Lenser P7R Core Rechargeable Torch

The P7R is a perfect tool for my work as a bird watching guide. It is powerful enough to use a red filter and has the convenience of 3 power settings and rechargeable with mains power or USB. I have been using Led Lenser torches for many years and wouldn't consider any other brand. When I lost my P14 recently in the Northern Territory it was a no brainer to buy another. I find it convenient to have a rechargeable torch especially as it has a USB connection. I travel on planes a lot so now I don't have to worry about carrying extra batteries. It is compact, sturdy and light. It is perfect for me.

Amazing Torch!

After lengthy research I bought one of these torches to use in my home workshop. It has good reviews & specs & I must say that it is probably the best torch I've ever owned. I've had so many of those cheaper aluminum torches that take the three AAA batteries & they aren't all that bright & the batteries last no time at all. The LED Lenser P7R Torch has three brightness levels & on the brightest setting, it really is super bright. I'm guessing this is why it is so expensive! It has been well designed & well engineered. A good, solid & reasonably sized torch to have handy in your garage. I really like the wall-mountable magnetic holder, which will always keep the battery charged & ready to use. Awesome torch. Great build and functions. 10/10

This is a great product. The perfect torch for my work as a Security Guard. Bright when it needs to be, low light when you just need that. Easy charging and the focus is perfect. I accidentally dropped mine from 1 meter onto the road one evening, then kicked it into the gutter in the pouring rain as I was searching for it. Not a ding or scratch on it anywhere. Still looks and works as it was when brand new ;)

Brightest Torch I've Owned

I bought this model because it is rechargeable and bright and it hasn't disappointed me in those area's. This is the brightest torch I own and beats 2 other torches I own that claim to be 1600 lumen. The lens engineering in the P7R is much better than my other torches. It is noticeably bigger and a bit heavier than my P7 but not enough to make me go back. There are 2 points where I can see room improvement. The first is the belt pouch which has a simple loop meaning I have to undo my belt every time I put the pouch on or off, which is very annoying compared to the (2017) P7's pouch. I will probably mod the pouch to make it possible to fit/remove without opening my belt. Good feed of Squid

Well done with this one. For example I went squidding the 1st night I caught 5 squid. Not only a good feed of fresh calamari but the streght of this touch was amazing.. I could see places in the water were others brands could. I strongly recommend it Thank you BCF Happy hunting

Great build quality, difficult to program

This torch feels very solid in your hand. The build quality feels very high and the zoom action is smooth without feeling loose. The light output on high is impressive illuminating good distance and on low power is still very usable for longer durations.Would like to have been able to use some of the custom modes but these are very fiddly to program. It took several attempts over about 20 minutes to get the desired outcome but was disappointed on how many can be programmed.Have previously used the P3 which is a great compact torch for around a campsite. This met my need for something with more power for spotting without massive size and weight.

Great torch

Anaconda were quick at getting the product into the post however Aus post were terrible at getting it to my local post office. The torch itself and Anaconda exceed expectations. Their customer service is good and their website easy to use. The LED Lenser P7R is a great product for industry.

Illuminating!

You know a torch is decent when you can shine it on your hand and feel the heat coming radiating from the light. With this in hand, there will never be a reason to be scared of the dark and it is definitely a great tool to have for a brighter future.Shining this into your eyes will temporarily blind you, so there is also potential to use this as a defensive tool if you ever find you have run out of flashbangs. With the amount of light that this produces and also a lens focus (to have a wider spread on the light, or direct it to a certain point) it is a great light to get into those hard to see places.For the price, and the fact it is USB rechargeable, I feel this is a great product, in a little package! Ledlenser 502181 P7R CORE 1400 Lumens Rechargeable LED Torch

Very impressive build quality, nicely balanced and conveniently pocket sized. I found the programming the torch settings was straightforward once I had read the instructions, The 1400 lumens on the boost setting certainly lights up the surroundings within a couple hundred meters. The spot to zoom operation functions smoothly and is precise. The flood light setting produces good uniform illumination, I would have liked the spot light setting to have been a little more focused with less overspill (like my older P7). Perhaps the on/off button could protrude slightly more to allow a gloved hand to find it more readily.LED's what a marvelous invention.

Not good ergonomics

1. It is very, very bright. Even the dim setting is more than you need for indoor use. Not recommended as a general purpose flashlight around the house. I probably should have researched this better before buying,2. The combination on/off switch and charging connector is unergonomic and doesn't work especially well for either. The switching is uncertain and the charger easily detatches. It looks as if earlier versions had a separate switch on the barrel of the lamp which might have been better.3. The lamp is very rugged, if that's what you need.
