When I heard Lego was remaking the iconic battle pack from 2008, I knew immediately I was going to buy it. I own three of the 2008 version, and it's one of my most favorite sets.I honestly didn't expect this set to be better than the older version, but I was wrong. Everything that was annoying about the old set (like how you couldn't store all the guns on the ship) was fixed in this updated version. Now, the platform doesn't swing around but is locked into the ship so it looks much better. There is space to store every gun as well.Speaking of the guns, they are my only complaint. I do not like the new bulky blasters that come with most battlepacks. I didn't expect this one to have them though, since it was $20 and a 20th Anniversary Set. Unfortunately, Lego ... It is good for display (it's sitting in my room right now) and it's good for play (I already took it for a test drive around the house, trust me, it's really playable).

This set is a very good rerelease of an already awesome set from 2008. The minifigures are amazing and the new helmet is ok. The Han Solo is awesome too. A gripe I have is not with the set but with where it is sold. In Australia this set is exclusive to a certain store while around the world it is sold at all stores and not an exclusive. Why did this happen? This is an awesome set but I’m disappointed that it is not more readily available at least in Australia.

Overall a great set. The newer dual molded helmets on the stormtroopers look particularly great. The dropship is also slightly better than the old one and doesn't wiggle like the old one.The only gripe I have is with the helmets shape near the neck of the figure. The old helmets looked a little better near the mouth as the helmet curved down more naturally, while the new one takes a sharp 90 degree angle down. The helmet is also even more restrictive in its movement than before. However this is barely noticeable unless you pay proper attention to it from the sides and try to shake the helmey about during play. Because the helmet is much better detailed along with the figures now having leg printing similar to the older sandtroopers, as well as just having an ... MoreOverall a great set. I bought this set recently because I have a lot of nostalgia for the original. After building the set I was amazed at how small the set was it can literally fit in the palm of my hand. I find the price of 249 sek to be outragous and unfair for only 125 pieces, yes the set does have a few larger pieces but those do not justify that high a price.Even though such a price is incredibly bad the set is very cute and has a very nice play feature. the minifigures are all amazing.I hope you found my review helpfull in any decisions!
I am very impressed with this new Imperial Dropship. I never had the 2008 original version, but now I wish I did! The shuttle itself is a neat little craft to use in a MOC or a battle, and it is completely unique to LEGO Star Wars. The dropping feature is a handy thing to have, and it’s too bad this ship wasn’t in a movie- it would’ve been killer in combat. The new duel molded Stormtrooper helmets are cool, but I still think I prefer the Rogue One troopers better. The Shadow Trooper is also very intimidating, and I might put a different pilot in the shuttle to see him more in battle. Plus, that 20th anniversary Han Solo minifigure is extremely cool to have, but sadly jacks the price up to $20. Luckily, I found this set at Target for $13 and bought two since it was ... Luckily, I found this set at Target for $13 and bought two since it was such a good deal for the new style troopers, Shadow Troopers, and Han Solo. I’d recommend buying two or three to have some of these nice troopers if you find them on sale like me.Have fun and keep building!
The set is fine it is a battleback after all, the function works nice and it does improve on the old one. The figures are good, the new helmet is cool and I like it, however the Han solo figure does have that 20th anniversary print on his back and I understand it to show its the new one and not the old but it looks bad. The price is extremely, 20 dollars for a battlepack?!?! Why Lego that is a terrible price for a set people are going to buy multiples of this set. The battleback part is good but the price and Han ruin it from being a good set to buy multiples of.
I bought this because the old 2008 version was *so bad*. I remeber being a kid trying to play with it and it would always fall apart. This one is definitely sturdier! However, I still find it to be a rather uninspiring set. I woud recommend the podracer or snowspeeder over this set!I'm giving it 3 stars because the price is a little high and the figures are too similar to a battle pack to be particularly exciting. It should be around $15-18, so if yo must get this one, check around for a discount.
Seeing this set back on the shelves after getting the original made me instantly want it, especially with the three stormtroopers included within. I was quickly disappointed after putting the figures together. Their helmets are inaccurate (no space between black line and eyes, and it has a sharp angle at the neck instead of the more gradual slope). The helmets also just look too big and are unable to turn at all. If Lego kept the helmet design from their Rogue One sets, this would have been an amazing set, bringing back good memories. On another note, it seems that LEGO is starting to charge very high prices for their sets, regardless of how low piece counts are. This seems more of a battle pack than anything, and adding a collectible figure to just jack up the price shouldn't be encouraged. The new Sith Tie Fighter is priced at 79.99 USD and does not even have 500 pieces. I hope this is not a continuing trend for the future. The one positive I do have though, is that this set is sturdier than its predecessor, making play-ability more consistent and fun. Thank you for reading.
This is my favorite battle pack yet, I just wish Lego would stop putting the stud shooters in battle packs. The other thing is the price, it is five dollars more than what it should be, but to me the Han Solo figure is worth the five extra dollars, but to some people it is not. Other than those two thing it is really cool. I really like the new look of the Stormtroopers and the shadowtrooper is awesome as well. Lastly the Han Solo figure is is one of my favorite things about it, and I really like the printing on the back of him. Overall, it is a really good set, for kids and adults.
first of all, anyone staying away from this set because of the new stormtroopers, i had felt the same way, i didnt like the new design. i was really mad because this is the first stormtrooper battlepack since i have been a star wars fan and i didnt like the new version. then i came across a video on you tube of a comparison of our old favorite and the new one. i watched it and suddenly, i realized that the new one was actually pretty good. so go find one of those videos and you just might change your mind about the new kid. anyways, on to the set. i have a big problem with battle packs and that is that there are no blasters, only stud shooters. with these new battle packs all you end up getting is 4 guys, a little speeder, and no blasters. you have to supply them on ... PLEASE lego, give our regular blasters back. id buy more battle packs. hint. hint. the new stormtroopers are cool, and i like the shadow trooper as well. the old han solo is plain AWESOME and is a nice addition to my unique minifigure collection. the price is a bit steep, but you do get 5 minifigures. this set is good for those of us who want empire era stormtroopers and han is a nice addition. thumbs up if you want the lord of the rings sets released again.
