LG 34GN850-B 34inch Curved UltraGear G-Sync Nano IPS Gaming Monitor Black

Excellent IPS Panel with great colour reproduction, nice aesthetics and a very responsive and smooth feel at 160 Hz. The monitor exhibits no signs of ghosting and there is no noticeable colour variation across the regions at least when observing with the eye. I upgraded from an Acer X34p due to a warranty claim on the Acer monitor and this has been a nice improvement. The colour quality is very similar, but the increase in refresh rate is a noticeable and appreciated improvement over 120 Hz.The only cons when comparing to the Acer monitor are the lack of rotational freedom from the monitor stand and the lack of speakers. Both are minor quality of life features that are seldom used and can be rectified by buying a monitor arm and speakers.

144 HZ of refreshing bliss...up to 160hz overclocked.

Admittedly this is my first high refresh rate low response time gaming monitor. I have been gaming on a 34" Dell Ultra sharp, 60 HZ monitor for quite some time. I will never go back to 60 HZ gaming again. Wow! I know this is no surprise to anyone nor is it a news flash but wow. Call of Duty Warzone is night and day better.Color accuracy is great and the viewing angles are as strong as it gets with this IPS panel. My backlight bleed is extremely minimal on a black screen. There is a small amount at the top left of my screen and lower left. This varies by panel of course. It is quite negligible. No stuck pixels for me either. I find the joystick at the base of the monitor to be easy to use as well and quite intuitive for adjusting your settings as well.The adaptive sync/"Gsync" functions well with my EVGA RTX 2080 Super. No flickering to speak of.The HDR is pretty blah with the 400 nit peak brightness but I do not personally mind the SDR as it is. My games look amazing.Installation was a snap.I bought my son the 32" Samsung G7 with the 1000R Curve. While it is an excellent choice as well with a higher peak brightness, I prefer the ultrawide 34" for a healthy mix of gaming and productivity for my work applications with a less aggressive curve.Check out the new You Tube reviews for quite specific specifications on this monitor.Do yourself a favor, go buy one and see for yourself.

Best ultra-wide monitor for gaming and content creation

I purchased this monitor to game but also for photography and creating content online. This monitor is by far one of the best all-around ultra-wide monitors you can buy. The 34GN850-B gaming performance is some of the best I've experienced. Impressive response times and great graphics just pop in HDR games. In general use the text are crisp and clear. The colors on the monitor are extremely accurate and I haven't found the need to calibrate it out the box. I'm definitely glad I pulled the trigger and bought this monitor.

Excellent panel

I bought an LG C1 OLED on Black Friday and use it to watch movies and play on my consoles.Once you experience HDR there's no going back. This monitor has excellent viewing angles and great vibrant picture in HDR. Color accurate out of the box. I highly recommend! It doesn't have OLED level contrast but still the wide color gamut is there. Great product LG! Now bring on the QD-OLED monitors you're cooking.

Flight simulator dream come true!!!

It took me over two months to find the best gaming Monitor for hardcore gamers and ohhh boy what a suprise LG has given me. After much research and going through detail specs i went with the recommendation by hardware unboxed on youtube. All i can say is wooooww!! Look no further this Gaming monitor is the king of the the castle. I play apex and Valorant no screen tearing just out performs!! And as for Microsoft Flight simulator there is nothing better hands down!!. The colors and 1ms response time is amazing!. Nano ips technology is like nothing before LG always love to show off. Great Ultrawide Monitor for Gaming

This monitor is great! My specific monitor had 0 dead pixels and almost unnoticeably little backlight bleed in the two bottom corners. The colors and settings were great out of the box. Great monitor, quick and responsive

Before this monitor, I had an LG 34GK950F. Why did I now buy the 34GN850? Sadly, due to damage on my old monitor. That being said, I have in the short time I've had this monitor seen several improvements.This monitor seems to autosense better than the 34GK950F. I use my monitor both for a desktop PC (DP) and a laptop (HDMI). The 34GN850 seems much better to understand which input to switch to. For my old monitor I often had to switch manually if going to HDMI, even if there was no signal on DP.The 34GN850 is also quicker to display a picture. The 34GK950F would be slow to provide a picture if coming from powered off (boot) or from sleep state.Other benefits: The menu system appears to have changed for the better. But if you do have to replace it, or you are looking for a very good ultrawide, I recommend the 34GN850 without hesitation.One last thing: On the internet you may see there's another model called the 34GP83A. This is essentially the same monitor as this one, with some cosmetic differences. In the US the 34GP83A is cheaper than the 34GN850, but I haven't seen it for sale in Switzerland. If it does arrive here and is cheaper, go for that one.

Proper HDR10 implementation out of the box with no glaring drawbacks.When I finally settled on this one after countless weeks of research and procrastinating imagine my surprise when I find out that after setting it up that the advertised 1ms response time while "technically" accurate behaved inconsistently if your frame rate on a given game wasn't quite hitting a full 144fps on average, not to mention the most infuriating part being that ghosting occurred the lower your frame rate got.This was only alleviated by setting the refresh rate to 60hz or any other frequency via nVidia control panel and than going to the monitors onboard response time ... MoreBefore buying this monitor I had three key criteria it had to meet1.
