The fridge leaves the factory with right-hinged only.All in all, it is a fantastic fridge and does the job very well for us. We are glad we got it.Incidentally, we loved the service received from the sales consultants at The Good Guys. We’d continue shopping there for sure.

Old F&P 442l died day after returning home from holiday. It had lasted 12 years and was a good fridge. Checked current recommendations from choice and saw the LG. Hunted around for appropriate model and found it here. Bit more expensive than others but was in stock and could be delivered next day with bonus of taking old F&P. No brainer really. Arrived as promised installed and turned on. Much quieter than old F&P.Although only 8 litre larger the shelving and freezer bins were much more suitable for our use than our old fridge. Been a couple of weeks now and we couldn’t be happier. Can recommend both this model and Appliances Online.

Supposedly the reversible door is a design feature which is a customer option. However neither good guys nor LG disclose that it should not be done yourself because that would void the warranty and that to get it done requires somehow getting a different hinge for the bottom of the lower door. LG can't or won't tell me how to get it and good guys don't provide parts. It's actually a misnomer to call this a customer option and to use it as a selling point. I am quite frustrated given the time I put into researching fridges and ensuring that I have one with a reversible door. Total waste. They don't even say which side the hinges are fitted on the supplied product . Thus this fridge is not fit for purpose.

I love the fridge and appreciate it's efficiency. I like that it is spacious on the inside and all the accessories are quality. However, the door handles on both left and right of the refrigerator are confusing all of us at home as well as our guests. Basically, you see the handles as you approach the kitchen but these aren't the handles that can be used. If I had realised this feature when I was in the store, I would have selected a different model of fridge. I will also be contacting LG to see if they have manufactured doors that can be swapped out that are just on the one side. I knew that this model had left or right handed adjustability, I just didn't expect handles that you can't use(!) I expected single handed doors that could be flipped over. Our Samsung failed one evening with the freezer and cooling stopping completely. We tried to get that sorted but Samsung care were not helpful. We then went to TGG prospect where we have been shopping for the past few years. We explained our situation. Les, refridgeration specialist advised us about LG and how good the fridges have been over the years. We then decided this one and it was promptly delivered the next day. However we had issue where we were hearing some noise whilst closing the door. We then figured out that it was freezer door and fridge door touching each other and making noise. We then contacted LG and liased with Concierge services at Good Guys. Technician came and tried to fix it however the issue wasn't resolved. The delivery boys unpacked the new unit right infront of us and took the old one. Fridge is working superbly. We can set freezer to -15,-17,-21 degrees. Fridge can be set to 3 or 7 degrees. There's an alarm that goes off if you open the fridge for 30 secs or more. Our fridge has been functioning very well and both vegetables, fruits are super fresh in the compartment. Ample space to store milk, cheese, pickles, sauces. Since we are vegetarians, we store all frozen veggies etc in the big freezer compartment.

Unsure if putting setting in the middle will really work for both. Hard to find a fridge these days that separates crisper into two areas sadly. Light only in Fridge is fine as its not like you live in the freezer and you don't cook in the dark or really 'raid the freezer' at night. Freezer has ample space with 3 easy slide drawers. I cleaned up the family room adjoining the kitchen so the room acoustics of the fridge hum marginally more noticeable than previous fridge which is understandable also with all tiled area however that's nothing against the fridge whatsoever. Again hardly noticeable it's all in the background. Previously always brought Westinghouse however shelf quality is better/more solid in the LG. Agree, could do with another shelf on the door or ability to move shelving, however how many times did I move shelves in my last fridge Once Again not a deal breaker, I'm just being picky and would fill it with extra rubbish anyway. Eggs, I prefer to leave in the carton so I know their used-by date. You open the doors from the countersunk edges at the side which is smart as no fingerprints on the front and clean looking fridge with no handles sticking out on the front. 10 Yr Compressor warranty. Tick! 4.5 Star Energy Rating Tick! and 300 kWh on the sticker Tick! were also winners here for me (with the latest gas or blah blah blah something) In summary. Cold. Organised. Daily items in Fridge at Convenient Level with great sized/organised freezer. LG Looks Great too...and just hope it lasts as long as my old Westinghouse 10yrs. Massive amount of research over a couple of months including tape measuring, Fridge and Freezer real litres space comparison versus my actual needs analysis etc., hypothetically/mentally filling the fridge and comparing other brand and sizes etc. before finally pulling the trigger on buying this one. Resolution case manager has no resolution for the issue. They said someone will call you back but never. I have to call LG and I have to call the contractor many times, but it is still not helping. I would not recommend this fridge. It freezes vegetables in the vegetable draw due to the proximity of the draw to the freezer section. The fridge shelves are poorly spaced and the door shelf bottle retainers are not high enough so items fall over when the door is opened. The freezer draws are to small due to motor at the rear of the freezer section one has far more freezer space in a top mount freezer fridge. The temperature controls are limited in the available temperature choices. The door does not open wide enough so it is very hard to remove the vegetable draw for cleaning. Overall the fridge has nothing to recommend it other than it is runs quietly. A zero rating is what I wanted to put! I suspect the sales agents get more commission for selling LG units over ... MoreI would not recommend this fridge. Eventually, the door-changer came back to fix that, and in the process the door was damaged on the top two corners. So three months on I have a fridge but one with a damaged door.
