LG 454L Bottom Mount Fridge

This fridge is fantastic. Looks very stylish. Easy to set up and clean. Is very efficient to run, our electricity bill has dropped noticeably. The ice maker is fantastic, if ready in about 30 minutes after filling. The freezer section holds a lot more than our previous Fisher and Paykel. A +++

I really like this new fridge we purchased. In fact we purchased two at the one time as we originally wanted a quad door fridge but they didn't give enough freezer space for us plus most of those were too deep for our space. So we compromised and ended up with 2 of these fridges so gained more fridge space than we'd looked for. We purchased one with the water dispenser and one without. I feel that this extra fridge space will be very useful when entertaining guests and at Christmas when we often host quite a crowd. This means I can buy a good quantity of fruit and veggies and they stay really very fresh on these settings. Not sure if it would be as good if you had to use the one drawer for both fruit and veggies together. This fridge drawer can be tricky to take out to clean as the door doesn't seem to open quite far enough to get it out easily. The freezer space is fine too although it's taking me time to get used to the drawer "handles" being at the bottom of the drawer, not the top. I don't especially like the ice maker. To me it is too fiddly to fill; easy to make a mess when filling. I removed one of the ice makers and use the space for an old, easy to use ice tray and keeper Ive had for a long time. The small drawer alongside the ice maker is a bit awkward to remove and replace in the space as they door doesn't open as wide as it should to make it easy. You do need to clean the drawers from time to time and it's not always convenient to leave it in the freezer while you clean it. The fridges are exceedingly quiet. Very impressed with that. We decided we would have one of the fridges open right hinged and the other left hinged. Although there is provision for this, to ensure your warranty is ok, you need to get an LG service agent to do this and it was quite an expensive "option". It cost about $170 for the callout and the half hour it took. But I think this was the right decision as you expect a fridge like this to give at least one decade of great use and hopefully many more years. Although the sticker on the front says in big print 10 years warranty that is a little misleading as there is small print. So read that warranty information carefully.

Delivery service was pathetic told it was going to be delivered never showed up took the next day off called them in the afternoon to be told it is not coming. took two days off work waiting for the delivery. when goods did finally arrive a week later the product is not as described as Matte Black finish but a gun metal grey. overall poor experience would not recommend
