We are an elderly couple my partner is disabled physically and mentally, that has precooked meals that need heating for us to eat, I brought a 42 ltr microwave online that was working fine for 3 months then one day didnt heat. It was beautiful and easier to use than our previous microwave that I gifted to a disabled lady in need. Due to shortages of microwaves I had to buy this one that was a lot larger but OMG its so much easier to use and even my partner has learnt how to use it.

Wasnt sure about the larger microwave size though would not be without it after some use. No worries with square plates or baking dishes. Extremely easy to use and heats very evenly not burning edges and heating entire meals. Eg, a 2kg lasagne firstly wouldnt have fitted in the old microwave and the edges on even a 1kg would have been burned. Not with this microwave even with larger portions. Very, very happy!!!

The microwave is fantastic. It heats things evenly and quickly and the inverter defrost function is great and easy to use. I wanted a big microwave and this definitely fits that description. My only dislike is that the dimensions dont mention anything about the recommended space that needs to be around the entire microwave. The dimensions only tell you its physical size but when you actually read the manual it recommends at least 20cm of venting space around the entire microwave and recommend it for open bench top use. This is a large amount to add onto the dimensions for the correct use of this large item.

Such a awesome microwave. Great consistent heat. Nice and big which helps with whatever type dish you have. Very easy on the eye. Easy to use and I just love it. After using a smaller model I wanted to stay with LG as they are awesome with these products. This will last another 8 years like my previous LG before upgrading again.
It's big it can easily fit my large plate of leftovers which is why i bought it (matched what my old Sharp microwave could fit inside), and relatively simple and quiet to use, nice jingle to notify when finished heating rather than piercing finished sound some others have. If you really don't want to use all the good features and not read anything like most blokes do (although I suggest you do): by pressing the start button it will work for 30 seconds, press it again for another 30 seconds each time to make it cook/heat up to desired time (so to heat for 2 mins at max just press start a total of 4 times in the beginning). Bought two and both give problems. ONE: After few months it stopped heating the food.The open and close switch malfunctioned and no parts available (Only told us subsequent & DO NOT TAKE ADD insurance pls) . TWO: The "new" number two micro wave stopped heating food again and we have to send it in AGAIN!! Change name to "NO CHEF" rather. Not worth the money.
After experiencing the true never-ending service of 41 years of my previous microwave oven (another brand not available in SA anymore) and experiencing that nothing lasts forever, my quality expectations for my new purchase were set extremely high. After using this product for a week, trying many of the functions, I am happy. The instruction manual being clear with exact instructions, assisted in a smooth and easy transition to the new kitchen friend. I chose LG based on my satisfaction levels with my LG fridge. I am now hooked on LG.
I bought this microwave about 18 months ago. Within weeks it stopped working (it would appear to function however would not heat anything). We asked for a replacement and LG refused and insisted they service it. This took weeks - as a mum of 4 weeks being without a microwave for weeks shortly after spending so much was very disappointing. Only months after receiving the microwave back the same thing happened. We were without the microwave for 6 weeks this time as again LG refused to simply replace the appliance. Now it has happened again - appears to work however no heating. This is the second LG appliance I have had issues with and the second time I have experienced their terrible after sales service. Never again!
I absolutely love this microwave. The stylish lines not only look great, the microwave is easy to use. I particularly love the simplicity of being able to increase or decrease the time externally. Very happy with my purchase.
Soooooo big, I reckon it eats smaller microwaves for breakfast. Easily fits the largest of our plates and dishes in and cooks and defrosts everything evenly and quickly. The internal light is really bright making it easy to keep an eye on things as they cook. The controls are very easy to understand and use, so much so that the kids actually want to cook their own porridge for breakfast each morning.
