I love this monitor. The resolution and response time are outstanding. I wanted to get something worthwhile but not too expensive and this was the best solution I found. I am completely happy with my purchase and wouldn’t go back. In fact I would love to add one more to my setup. I have no complaints with this monitor after (not sure how many) years of use. Only thing is there are no speakers. I use my headphones anyway, so it doesn’t affect me but just something to keep in mind. 10 out of 10.

This monitor is notorious for various issues online.Few months after purchase the fan makes obscene awful sounds sporadically. I sent in for repair, they take weeks, and when I get it back? Nothing was fixed at all.Their solution was to send it in again. Seeing as how they were completely incompetent, I live with the awful scratch noises. After a few more months it's now a black screen brick.Support is the absolute worst, do NOT do business with LG if you are expecting a company to stand behind their products. They even argued with me that they repaired it when it had the same exact issues as before I sent.During the call I reiterate as I had many times for the first repair. Never doing business with LG again and will never recommend them to a friend.

A super great monitor which I've had for a few years now. Videos and games run smoothly on the screen. Colors are vibrant with huge customizability to suit your needs. GPUs and games pick up on monitor settings and comply when needed speaking to the quality of the firmware of the product. I was always a huge fan of LG because of their reliability (Own a 27UD88 since 2018 with no issues). But, today I received a column bright blue pixels down the screen similar to another reviewer in what looks like a similar region to another reviewer. Quite disappointing since its approaching the 3 year mark which is not dated by monitor standards (especially as a 4k monitor with a high refresh rate, you're expecting to stay ahead of the curve for awhile).

The display is giving me a cyan colored vertical bar after about 3 years of weekend usage. This LG panel seems to suffer a lot from this issue. Please don't be wasteful and buy yourself a different display. Paying more for a better quality product didn't work in this case. The LG support guide confirms it's the display that is broken and nothing can be done about it. There are other issues with the display that are easier to live with: A hard system reset is required to wake the display after the system has been turned back on from sleep. Some fan noise can be heard when working in silence. Bright LED's on the back are on by default every time. You will love this feature if you are a person listening to loud music in public. I've had this monitor since early 2021. So roughly three years now. Only a couple months after the original one-year warranty, I got a series of vertical lines that you likely have already seen in other reviews. I sent it in for repair, and they quoted me $150 for both the repair and shipping. No big deal. Well, about another year later I encountered the same issue, with the vertical pink line. Fortunately, it went away on its own for a few months. However, once the vertical line returned I was quoted $350 in repairs for what should have never been an issue after the initial repair. Although I initially wanted to go through with it, I now find myself hard-pressed to spend that money just to delay the inevitable for just another year.Overall, I once loved this ... I found the colors to be amazing, the response time to be quick, and had few issues if we ignore the vertical lines.
In general, it worked well for a long period of time. It has some nice pro features like integrated calibration, so you don't need to run calibration over multiple computers. The picture quality (color/contrast) is a step up from the 60hz 4K displays LG makes, and those are quite nice too.I'm giving 1 star because it's not a reliable product. After 18 months, the monitor will randomly start shooting red lines across the screen. It's not constant, and the only way to trigger it is to have high contrast items on a screen, or media content on a dark background (such as YouTube). Changing picture profiles sometimes gets rid of the issue, but it returns. After multiple calls to customer service and resets and recalibrations of the monitor, the problem persists. I've ... Changing picture profiles sometimes gets rid of the issue, but it returns. After multiple calls to customer service and resets and recalibrations of the monitor, the problem persists. I've had other monitors for 5+ years that exhibit no long term degradation (including from LG), for nearly a thousand dollars it's not really acceptable that this monitor can't hold up. LG quoted $350 to replace the panel, which seems steep considering their supposedly premium product can't clear 2-3 years of normal use. What's worse is that LG said there is only a 90 day warranty on the service they provide, and it isn't possible to purchase a longer warranty for their own servicing.
This is a faulty monitor that develops vertical lines after about 2-3 years of ownership. It is well documented by dozens of consumer complaints on this website and on Reddit. I spent $1,600 on two of these and both developed lines right in the window every one else's did. LG will do nothing to meet customers half way and give them a break on the service fees. Their licensed service companies are even worse. LG charges $350 per monitor plus shipping to fix them and their local service techs charge over $100 just to look at the monitor. This is a HORRIBLE business practice on all fronts. I will never buy another LG monitor because of my experience here. A well deserved bad score.
The LG 27GP950-B is an incredible 4K gaming monitor and perfectly priced. As a devoted gamer, I recently upgraded from my previous LG 4K gaming monitor to the 27GP950-B as an essential part of my gaming setup. The HDR color gamut really is incredible right out of the box – I didn’t need to make many adjustments to get it exactly where I want it for both FPS and fantasy/adventure games.I really enjoy the lightning-fast response time and I’ve always seen this as an edge in competitive online FPS gameplay. The motion handling and minimal input lag combined with VRR has never produced any frame tear for me. It’s always fluid, giving me the precision and control I need (I primarily play Destiny 2 for FPS).The HDMI 2.1 connectivity is the biggest reason for the ... It’s always fluid, giving me the precision and control I need (I primarily play Destiny 2 for FPS).The HDMI 2.1 connectivity is the biggest reason for the upgrade to the new panel over my previous panel. I was so happy with the older LG 4K gaming monitor (purchased in late 2019), but ultimately needed 120 Hz refresh rate for my PS5 setup. The difference for competitive FPS is way more pronounced than I expected it to be – you need those additional frames vs. 60 Hz when it comes to online FPS. It’s buttery smooth and the 27GP950-B never misses a frame or stutters.I have the monitor positioned on a dedicated gaming desk, and it's the centerpiece of my gaming setup. The sleek design and adjustable stand make it easy to find the perfect viewing angle, ensuring hours of comfortable gaming sessions.Having been a loyal user of LG monitors for years, I can confidently say that the 27GP950-B has met or exceeded all my expectations. The combination of rich colors, bright screen, fast response time, and HDMI 2.1 connectivity make it a must-have for any serious gamer. I couldn't be happier with my purchase, especially given the high-end performance at a high-mid tier price point. Unless you have the money to burn, I don’t think it’s worth spending $1500+ on a dedicated gaming monitor. That’s why I’d recommend the LG 27GP950-B.
I bought this monitor directly from LG.com at a time when it was scarce on shelves at other retailers and LG allowed my to pre-order. Pairs great for gaming with my RTX 3080ti and great for every day use as it's my primary remote work monitor too. For the gaming features, you're getting the absolute top performance (G-SYNC, 4K, HDR, 160hz) for $200-300 cheaper than other manufacturers. I also don't love the over-the-top design of other Gaming monitors. This one still looks like a Gaming monitor but is significantly more understated. It's also easy to turn off the RGB.I had this monitor for almost a year when the DisplayPort jack just stopped recognizing input. I think it was a total of 1.5 weeks between sending it out and getting a working monitor back in the mail at no cost to me. I understand that defects happen, I've found them on many top-end products so I'm not docking a star for that. What matters to me is how the company handles it. Thank you LG for standing behind your products!
