Lifespan Fitness - EXER-58 Exercise Bike

I think this exercise bike is pretty good. The instructions to put it together were lazy and vague, only being images with numbers, and it was hard to understand how to hook up the gear changing wire. Beyond that the bike feels like fairly decent quality, the seat is very solid as are the handles, the pedals turn smoothly and changing gear resistance is easy. The monitor works adequately along with heart beat monitor. My only complaint would be there's a slight creaking noise when I'm using it, something like flexing plastic in the base, I hear it every minute or so. Not quite sure what causes it. But it is otherwise extremely quiet when in use as it claimed.

Bike needed fixing immediately after buying

Bought this online, received quickly and assembled without much issue. The bike I received however had a loud scraping coming from inside the unit. It’s not immediately clear you can open it up to rectify but I was able to move the casing to stop it catching against the wheel inside. There was also a complete lack of tension on the bike even on the highest setting. I was able to speak directly to the product manufacturer who’s customer service was superb. Bike is now fully working but turnaround has taken a full month.

This is a fantastic choice for anyone looking to up their exercise. It is near silent and feels very sturdy. It also has a phone/media holder so I have been using it to read which has been a great way to pass the time. It is quite slim so it is easy to push and pull if you want to store it away, put it in a corner and then pull it out when needing it. My only complaint is the hardness of the seat, which is a bit like concrete. But for the price, I really think it is a no brainer purchase!

Good Beginners Exercise Bike

I purchased this bike for simple cardiovascular health, and for that I think it does the job. The wheel is very lightweight, which is good for moving around the house, but means even at the max setting (8), the tension isn't that strong. For a beginner it's fine, but for people that are quite fit, it won't feel that difficult to ride. The ride itself is mostly smooth, with minimal noise, though there have been a few times where it sounds like it's scraping on something inside.The instructions weren't good, and the supplied tools are pretty useless, I had to use my own tools to put this together.TL;DR: It's a good beginners bike for the price.

Good value for price

Free delivery made buying this from Myer a must! Straightforward assembly but you need to adjust the nut on the tension cable to fit the cable - something missing from the instructions - so you'll need a pair of pliers. Electronic pulse, distance, calorie readings are 'debatably' accurate! But just measure your daily relative readings. Certainly offers enough resistance - I'm old and unfit so found even setting 2 was knackering! Sturdy and stable - does the job.

Great Exercise Bike - Uncomfortable Seat!

Fabulous product for the price! Bike arrived in a sturdy container with all parts well protected. Nuts, bolts and other items were securely packed on a shrink wrapped cardboard backing with reference numbers clearly labelled, and assembly tools are included in the pack! Assembly instructions were good, though I would recommend two people as some of the components can be unwieldy to handle. I had some difficulty connecting the tension cable and had to unscrew the nut holding the lower cable so I could get the two sections to connect. This isn't explained in the manual, but, it was an easy fix...just remember to retighten the nut before connecting the handlebar supports. Seat is adjustable up and down and forward and backwards. I'm short and could have done with a bit more adjustment forward, and would have preferred to be able to tilt the seat as well, which isn't offered with this particular unit. The handlebars are fixed, which again, is not ideal for my shorter 158cm stature. The resistance offered is substantial, and the pedal motion is smooth.My only caveat is the lack of adjustments available for those of us with shorter legs/arms, and the seat/saddle is diabolically uncomfortable! I could manage ten minutes before cycling became so painful I had to stop. I purchased and installed a gel seat, which I highly recommend, if you want to give your backside a bit of comfort...Overall, I am very happy with the quality of this exercise bike, and have used it everyday since purchase. Highly recommended!

Great purchase and great 👍 product!

Great 👍 purchase! Received item in box! Oh I have to assemble this, no worries! It took two goes to assemble it! Not a problem, although when I got to the front stem and handle bars I had a bit of a problem with the front stem Tension Cable! Released cable and then was able to connect, all good 👍 A great product, love my new exercise cycle works great!

Lifespan EXER-58 Exercise Bike

The EXER-58 is unbelievably sturdy for such a compact bike! Seat is more comfortable than expected & bike is super quiet!The only con is that it would be great to have more resistance levels for s more intense ‘up hill’ cycling workout. Overall a great product, well priced & highly recommend.

Really great value for money

Really great quality and very sturdy. Was worried that it might be poor, as it was one of the cheaper exercise bikes available, but I was pleasantly surprised. Bike is only used for seated riding, it is sturdy and on flat surface does not wobble. Seat height and distance is easily adjustable, and can be used by multiple people (height 160-180cm). Only complain is that the paint scratched when adjusting the height, even though I followed the instructions to adjust the bike. But overall very happy with the bike, totally recommend, great value!

Smooth, well designed and suited my requirements

Very smooth, comfortable seat, good adjustment range and exceeded my expectations. Going through the Bunnings Marketplace gave me the confidence that they had done their homework first and that I did not have to second guess the quality of the product. The 15 minutes assembly time including unpacking, assembly and disposal was around 2 hours rather than the cited 15 minutes.Delivery also exceeded expectation at 3 days.
