Only reason I'm giving it 3 stars because after ALMOST a year the mic stopped working.I purchased this headset back around this time last year. Great great headset overall sound is pretty good, but than again I don't know how to work the hub really. It does tend to get very uncomfortable after wearing for so long, and if you wear a hat you have to either move your hat back or headset back or forward because the ball on top of the hat tends to dig into your skull and after 3-4 hours of gaming it tends to hurt a little when noticed. Its really not a bad headset, it's just poorly designed. For the price of it also, eh. I purchased it on sale for 70 dollars so I can't complain really, but for 120 dollars, yea I'd complain. As for the mic part that has me a little upset ... MoreOnly reason I'm giving it 3 stars because after ALMOST a year the mic stopped working.I purchased this headset back around this time last year. Bought these second hand off my flatmate, after him raving about how loud they were i was a bit dissappointed. After a bit of google i found out you have to uninstall G-Hub and install "Logitech Gaming Software" instead. If you use it for music go into the Logitech Gaming software and dissable all the features and surround sound stuff. They have mad deep bass and clean sound with these settings.I live in a studio style appartment and i can easily walk 10 meters through 2 doors (walls also) and use the toilet while listening to my tunes. Awesome bluetooth rangeI can get away with not charging these for 3 to 4 days as long as i don't forget to turn them off. A good 15 to 20 hours of loud music.

This Logitech G533 wireless headset works well with all the services and formats that I need it for. It's classified as a Gaming Headset but has no limitations when used for listening to music or voice communication. The difference between a headset and headphones is the built in microphone on headsets. The G533 is compatible with DTS 7.1 and Dolby surround sound emulation. This gives the listener a sensation of being inside the 7.1 encoded movie or video game with moving effects instead of basic stereo. There is an adjustable volume control wheel and power switch on the left earcup.Dolby Access (not required) is included in Windows 10 if you've kept your PC up to date but there's a $15 one time charge to enable it, which I did. This is a control panel app with software codecs to decode surround sound that is encoded into movies and computer games. I think that Access is worth the price to get the most out of the headset on newer movies and games. I sampled some Dolby and DTS 7.1 demonstrations and movie trailers online after activating Dolby Access. Impressive!Sound quality is very satisfying to my ears and I consider myself to be picky about audio. Lows are balanced, not muddy, and highs are defined. Voices are easy to distinguish so this is a great headset to use with Skype, Google Duo, Zoom, and other VOIP (voice over Internet) services. I listened to Amazon Music for over an hour last night and thoroughly enjoyed that too. Today I tested the attached microphone by creating a short video with my webcam and the G533, then playing it back. On playback my voice was loud and clear. Also checked it with Skype call testing service, same result. This is not a Bluetooth headset, meaning that it will not work with another device over it's built-in Bluetooth transceiver such as the PC I'm using. The headset comes with it's own thumb sized USB transceiver that communicates from your USB port on a PC or laptop to the headset. The advantage to this is that you don't have to pair it in software like you would over Bluetooth. The disadvantage is that I can't use it with my Bluetooth equipped tablet but I have a compatible headset for that. When connected to my PC with the G533 I walked all over the upper and lower floors of our house and never lost communication with the PC. I tried using the supplied USB adapter with the headset on two flat panel televisions but it wasn't recognized by either one even though USB-A ports are on both TVs. The ports on the TV are obviously for media playback only. The rechargeable battery is under the right earcup cover. I took the cover off for the sake of this review. The battery is not like rechargeable AAs, it's flat and I assume it will need to be purchased from Logitech when it gets old. The ear pads are replaceable also but take my word until you need to clean or replace them, it's tedious to put them back on.

I have long wanted a headset that would allow me to listen to music at the same time as I used speech-to-text. When I saw this headset, I knew it was my best chance of making it happen. I just tested it, and it works great! The music is contained within the padded headphones, so it doesn't interfere with the program's ability to pick up my speech. (While I do play games, none of them are multiplayer. Therefore, the speech-to-text program was also my best bet for testing whether I would be understood.)Incoming sound quality is good. I'd rate it as just slightly lower than my (upgraded) computer speakers. I'd rate it as just slightly lower than my (upgraded) computer speakers. The slight downgrade of raw sound quality is made up for by the way the headset dampens other, unwanted noise from the rest of the house. The physical characteristics of the headset are very good, but I note that the set is just heavy enough to ride down on my head a little. This puts some pressure from the headband on the crown of my head, and that could get old after several hours, especially with short hair. The earpiece foam is quite soft and comfortable, though. This headset has several shiny bits, all of which are covered with protective plastic. It was slightly annoying to get all of the plastic off, because some of it is stuck down very strongly. Also, the instructions are a bit of a joke. Fortunately, it's easy enough to figure out what to do on your own.About the only real downside is that it appears to be impossible to use the charging cord for actual headphone operation, and it might not be a downside for you. I don't have two empty USB slots, so I can't charge and listen at the same time. That wouldn't be a problem if these could run as a "corded" headset during charging.
Review....I was a bit skeptical when my wife said she was getting a free set of Bluetooth headphones but figured we'll if they suck atleast they were free. When she opened the box I was surprised that they seemed to be of good quality and not cheap looking. She asked me to try them out to see what I thought of them. I tried pairing them to my PS4 which didn't work but they do hookup with the cable and work wonderfully. They do cancel out the noise around you but if someone needs to get your attention you can still hear them. I usually have to play on a smaller TV in the room where my kid is playing or watching TV so normally I keep the TV volume down but don't have to with this headset. I usually have to play on a smaller TV in the room where my kid is playing or watching TV so normally I keep the TV volume down but don't have to with this headset. I pick up alot of noises I normally didn't always hear while playing PS4 and dont have to worry about disturbing anyone watching TV and the headset is very comfortable even after prolonged use the padding around the ears is very soft and breathable so you ears don't get hot and sweaty. The second thing I use them for is mowing. I used to be a bit limited to what I could listen to while mowing because the mower would over power my normal ear buds and the cord always got in my way getting snagged on things. I have apple air pods but they suffer from the same problem of not being loud enough for some of the things I like to listen to while mowing. This head set is loud enough that I can hear it over the mower and not having to use a cord makes it alot easier to move with and the ear pads being breathable helps again when its hot. Also the battery life if excellent and even gives you a percentage number when you pair them to your device i used them for about 10 hours of gaming and mowed for about 3 hours and still had 12% when I put them on the charger. I would highly recommend anyone wanting a good product that won't break you to give these a try solid 8/10
Prior to this, I owned a Corsair RGB wireless headset which I was very happy with but unfortunately broke after 3 years of good use. When I bought the G533, my friends immediately noticed and told me the mic quality was worse. They said I sounded like a completely different person, and not a better sounding person. Compared to the Corsair RGB, directional sound on the G533 is significantly worse. I often get told by my friends when playing FPS games "He's on your left" when my headset sound was NOT telling me that. Didn't happen with the Corsair. The audio randomly cuts for 3-5s periods during any usage session. Happens every 30 minutes or so. Didn't happen with the Corsair. The audio randomly cuts for 3-5s periods during any usage session. Happens every 30 minutes or so. The range is also lower than my Corsair -- I can only be about 10ft away from the dongle before it starts cutting out, meaning if I walk to my kitchen I won't hear what my friends are talking about until I come back. While the headset charges well and has a long battery life, the low battery audio indicator is basically useless. Sometimes, it will randomly beep the low battery sound every 5 minutes or so, but will work for a good half hour more before dying (as expected). Other times, it will not give any audio indicator before just randomly dying, at which point I have to interrupt my gameplay and plug it in. Combine this with the (non-battery related) random 3-5s periods of silence I get in general that I mentioned in the above paragraph, and you can see how this can become an issue while gaming. The device fits okay now that I am used to it, but it definitely felt more stiff and uncomfortable than my previous headset when I first started using it.
I looked over all wireless headsets that ranged from $50 to $300. I probably spent 10 hours doing so and hopefully this saves you time. Some brands had consistent reviews about mic issues, connectivity, etc. I tried on many headsets and found only a few that did not run really small or fit too tightly around my head. This one not only fits great, but is comfortable. If the headset is too small/tight it doesn't matter how great the features are. Battery life is excellent, recharge time is very quick. You can charge using the USB cable while having it connected to your device if need to, therefore, I didn't see a need for a backup 3.5mm jack. I can walk around most of my house and it stays connected, the range is very good. The software is good and simple. Mic and Speaker quality is good. A couple very surprising features that are awesome - the battery is completely accessible and can be replaced or you can buy a spare. When you flip the mic up it auto mutes until you put it back down. A few things that could be improved -the end of the mic is not flexible and when you are muted the built in red led is not very noticeable. Both of these things are very minor and I'd buy this headset again many many times. I recommend buying from Micro Center over other retailers when getting a headset. At Micro Center you can try them on before buying and the return policy is as good/better than their competitors should you experience an issue.
I purchased this from Walmart for $66 while it was on sale. Knowing what I know now I probably wouldn't have spent more than maybe 40 or 50 on it. Basically, this is a fine headset when it works but it doesn't work consistently. I will list the issues in the chronological order from oldest to newest: the volume wheel on the headset is finnicky (meaning rotating it either direction usually results in turning the volume down unless you press on it really hard), unmuting by putting the microphone down doesn't always unmute and you have to put the microphone up to re-mute and try putting it down again, and the USB connection to the headset is shoddy and isn't always charging despite the Windows noise for a new connected device. As others have mentioned, there are also plenty of software issues where it won't work inside of certain games unless you use (or sometimes NOT use) Logitech G-HUB. G-HUB constantly gives messages that the battery is low/critical after charging it for a full day.My newest issue as of a few months ago is easily the worst of them all, the microphone will just randomly stop working! No sound from windows to indicate it is disconnected, Windows device manager shows that the mic is receiving sound when testing it, and of course I can still hear sound coming out of the headset. The only way I have been able to fix it without completely restarting my PC is to go to Manage Sound Devices, disable the headset entirely, and re-enable it. As someone who uses it for both gaming AND work calls, this is completely unacceptable. There is no indication that the mic stops working until someone starts to ask why you aren't talking. It is both a major inconvenience and an embarrassment. Logitech used be a leading brand in headsets but I will be looking to other companies for a multi-purpose headset going forward. For my next headset I will look for: USB-C charging connection, software that doesn't interfere with the microphone, and a microphone that uses a more reliable volume and muting mechanism.
I’ve owned other Logitech gaming headphones and always liked the quality for the money and this set of wireless headphones, the G533 wireless set definitely live up to the quality reputation of Logitech. First off, I was surprised as soon as I opened the box when the first thing I saw was a USB adapter that turns out to be a wireless adapter (awesome). It also comes with a USB to micro-usb cable for charging the rechargeable batteries and a flip down microphone. The headphones themselves are Very comfortable and are fully adjustable (for head size). I would definitely download the Logitech Gaming Software too. You can then have the ability to make all kinds of changes to the EQ.I haven’t tested the effective distance much (not more than 20 feet or so), but based on the quality at 20 feet away, I believe the 15 meter distance claim. The sound quality is just fantastic! I haven’t completely drained the batteries, but they are rechargeable so unless you’re playing for like 10 or more straight hours, you shouldn’t have a problem with battery life. These are definitely professional quality wireless gaming headphones, and are definitely the best quality of headphones I’ve ever owned. Another great Logitech product for sure!
My first comment is these are an incredible headset but are not Bluetooth. They require the supplied dongle in order to operate. It seems everything labeled wireless is Bluetooth these days so made an assumption that I'd somehow also be able to use these on my phone (I tried an OTG adapter out of curiosity but was a no go on my phone).Overall though, the G533 headset delivers great sound and clear voice through the microphone. I'm very pleased with these and have been comparing them with the Astro A10 wired headset that I've been using. This one definitely gets the highs right and sounds much cleaner with a tight low end. It boasts 7.1 surround and am a skeptic on headsets which claim to be surround as you only have two drivers. It boasts 7.1 surround and am a skeptic on headsets which claim to be surround as you only have two drivers. But after listening to the sample file included in the setup, it's pretty incredible. It's a truly convincing surround experience and you really need to hear it to appreciate it. Microphone also delivered well on clarity and works great for gaming.Make sure you install the Logitech G Hub to take full advantage of this headset. It lets you control just about every aspect of the headset even letting you control the volume on each of the surround channels individually. It's sorta funny, as all the volume numbers go to 11! That's one louder than 10! The hub also allows you to control room, stereo mode, and a ten band EQ to get the sound just as you'd like it and save presets to switch between settings at any time. There is also a smooth digital volume control wheel and a single button on the headset perfectly placed for your left hand thumb which by default mutes the microphone but through the software can be reprogrammed to do just about anything from audio controls, commands, macros, discord actions, or keys. I particularly loved this as I wanted to listen to music around my place and was easily able to reprogram it to advance to the next track. The volume and microphone both give unique audible indicators when increases/engaged or decreased/disengaged. Microphone also has an LED indicator when muted.Headset is highly serviceable. Battery is easy to access and replaceable so you don't have to wait for a recharge and you won't be throwing these out because the battery has gone bad. Additional batteries look to be available for about $15-20. The battery last a long time (15 hours) so unless you forget to charge these, you probably would be fine with the stock battery. Headset ear pads can also be removed to let you clean them if they get gunky.Definitely a well thought out premium headset with great sound and lots of additional features. No hesitation on recommending these.
