Great wireless mechanical gaming keyboard from Logitech; I prefer low-profile chicklet keys similar to laptops, and this keyboard satisfies that requirement well. The tactile switches feel great and have a good response. The programmable features, such as the RBG lighting, individual key light profiles for different games, and macros, are all easily configured by the Logitech G Hub software, and the ability to swap between Lightspeed wireless (and it's dongle) and Bluetooth are great for swapping between my gaming PC and my work laptop.I've found the plastic on the keycaps can wear off overtime, particularly around the WASD letters; this is highly disappointing for a product this expensive. The RGB is bright and vibrant, and it's nice to see it shine through the ... MoreGreat wireless mechanical gaming keyboard from Logitech; I prefer low-profile chicklet keys similar to laptops, and this keyboard satisfies that requirement well. I just wish they used USB-C for the charging cable instead of micro-USB. Also, Logitech should definitely develop Powerplay wireless charging for their keyboards too.Don't be like my partner and smash the soft rubber buttons at the top of the keyboard; they only require a gentle push, and will wear out if you're not taking care. They're basically impossible to repair without dismantling the entire keyboard and doing some resoldering.

I especially like its LED backlighting for night work, and it's easy and quick to connect, as everything is covered in the included manual. But after using it for a while, I'd like to see some improvements, such as the keys providing satisfying click feedback and quick response, with convenient volume and media controls in the upper right corner. The full-size function keys are a plus, and the brushed metal finish is smudge-resistant and easy to clean. However, the secondary characters on the number row and other keys are not backlit, making it difficult to locate certain keys in low light. Furthermore, the default gradient backlight can be distracting, and a steady white or yellow backlight would be more practical. While the keyboard has many strengths, addressing these issues would improve the overall user experience. This is my honest opinion as a devoted Logitech fan!

The keyboard quality is amazing. I did not expect this type of durability, nor did I expect the cold, hard touch of metal. It's very thin, sleek and is a bit heavier than expected (although that's not bad). The RGB lights are pretty nice, too. Lower light settings definitely decrease battery drain, so keep that in mind if you don't need the lights blazing at full power. It's also really nice to clean as the keys stick out as opposed to some keyboards where the keys are sunk into the keyboard. There are some complaints, however. The tactile keys feel somewhat mushy, but you get used to that and it isn't much of an issue. Definitely more effort required to push a key than my G213 Prodigy, however (but much less travel). It's not much of a deal if you use it wirelessly or with a dongle, but it would be nice to see as a lot of devices are now on USB-C instead of USB-micro.Also, a compartment on the keyboard for the dongle would be nice if you wanted to take the thing with you and not have to worry about losing a small yet important thing. It's quite expensive for a keyboard, but if you can afford it or it's on sale, then I would recommend giving it a try.

For background, I use my keyboard for both work and pleasure (gaming/video editing). The keyboard allows me to effortlessly and seamlessly switch between devices through bluetooth and its Lightspeed connection. It can be turned on and off whenever you'd like and has definitely saved me in a few firefights :)The build of the keyboard is incredibly sturdy and has a bit of weight to it. This makes it so it doesn't get moved around easily and stays very secure wherever you have it.I can't recommend this keyboard enough for gamers, creatives, and Excel enthusiasts. Logitech does not play about its high-end PC products.

ABOLSUTELY LOVE THE LIGHTING CUSTOMIZATION!

Long term + Compared to Razer Huntsman Elite
8 June 2024

I have had multiple "higher end" gaming keyboards over the past few years. 2 of my Huntsman Elites had issues after about a year. The first the arm rest lighting died, the second the volume control quit.Between the Huntsman and the Ornata I definitely like the Huntsman better, however it is twice as expensive. On to the Logitech - This keyboard is a typing dream, due to the low profile there is no wrist rest needed. It still has the clicky of a mechanical keyboard. It is equally as fast as the Huntsman. I now find the other Razer offerings a bit inferior now that I am used to this keyboard.Software - The logitech software is not overbearing like the Razer. I now find the other Razer offerings a bit inferior now that I am used to this keyboard.Software - The logitech software is not overbearing like the Razer. Since an update Razer would from time to time cause weird conflicts with other software. At one point in time my computer was running hot actually due to the Razer software which had nothing to do with any colling in my PC.The Logitech software has given me zero issues, doesn't want to update all the time, it just works. Running in the background currently using 42MB of RAM.It will run wirelessly over the included dongle or bluetooth, So connection to multiple devices such as cabled to a computer, then used on another device when you need it to become portable (tablet/laptop).The volume control works well. It is smooth rolling, I wish it had "notches" though so you could feel how much you were increasing the volume.Battery life seems to last forever, most of the time I leave mine plugged in. My only complaint is they used micro-USB on the keyboard side instead of USB-C which is more common today. Not a deal breaker.Another thing I appreciate is the durability of the riser feet underneath. On ALL my OTHER keyboards when I slid my keyboard forward on my mouse pad, the feet folded underneath. THE LOGITECH DOES NOT DO THIS!!It is these small attentions to detail which make this a better option in my opinion. Used as a gaming keyboard or for your office you will not be disappointed. If only they made laptop keyboards like this.-Steven S

Premium product with *major* design flaws

Why?2/ Using keycaps which do not illuminate *any* of the alternate values for dual-mode keys (Top row numerals, numeric keypad, the various punctuation, bracketing and other special-use characters.) Both keyboards are described as having back-lit mechanical switches coming in linear, tactile and "clicky" styles. Why cripple the premium product with sub-standard key-cap style? The product is primarily marketed to gamers, but for *anyone* who wishes to use it in a low-light environment, it falls *far* short of the utility you would expect from something touted to be the latest and greatest.

Software required - can't use for work

I bought this keyboard because it has a cord, it offers a mechanical typing experience with low key action, it has a full number pad, and I hoped it would reduce my hand fatigue at work. (I type all day.) I cringed at the price (~$175 with tax), but I really needed a new keyboard. I tried out this keyboard in-store and purchased it online. Unfortunately, this keyboard has limited functionality as a plug-and-play device, which I did not see in the online product description or as part of the in-store display. None of the macro keys work, and it's impossible to use most other features, unless a software package (G Hub) is installed. It was the last straw that the key caps are impossible to read unless the backlighting is turned on, but when I select a solid cyan color setting, the backlighting reverts to "Christmas tree" with a "breathing" effect every few minutes. It's extremely distracting. The online user manual indicates that the color settings can only be changed permanently through G Hub. My employer does not allow these sorts of software additions, so I have to return the keyboard.

10 April 2024

I'm very satisfied with this purchase. I've wanted this keyboard for a long time, but I couldn't justify buying it, UNTIL I found this deal.I was a little skeptical about getting this one since it is open box, but I was happily impressed to find that it is completely new! The packaging is intact, as well as the keyboard. Everything is perfect! There are zero signs of it being previously opened or used. This is an amazing keyboard. It's been around for a while and has received wonderful reviews. After trying many other mechanical keyboards, it's definitely my favorite. The wireless function, as well as the Bluetooth, is amazing. I use it mostly for work (programming), and it works great, especially good for long working hours. The wireless function, as well as the Bluetooth, is amazing. I use it mostly for work (programming), and it works great, especially good for long working hours. For gaming, I can play completely without latency issues (tested with LoL mostly). I love its design, it looks super modern with clean aesthetics. The sound is very nice and smooth, just what you'd expect from a mechanical keyboard, without being too loud. The RGB lighting is amazing, with so many customizations, and it looks beautiful.Honestly, I'm just so happy with this purchase that we decided to get one for my husband too!100% Recommended.

Way better than I expected... 100% recommend

I bought this keyboard during black friday sales. So the specs say the battery lasts 40 hours. But when I got home and plugged it in, it was at about 50% battery. I used it that day and then the next, and it was down to about 10%, so I plugged it in to charge it overnight. That was about 7 days ago and it's still @ 70% battery, and the battery life has really exceeded my expectations.I have the brightness et to 30%, on a 10s cycle for the lighting effect. In the device settings, set the the effect to Dim Active Effect, I have the brightness on 25%, and it dims after 1 min, turns the lights off after 2 mins. I have it set to turn low battery mode, so it pulses red @ 15% and lower. I turned the onboard memory off.As far as the keys go, I think the keyboard and ... MoreI bought this keyboard during black friday sales. So the specs say the battery lasts 40 hours. I turned the onboard memory off.As far as the keys go, I think the keyboard and keys are a little smaller than my previous razer keyboard, so I have some typos, but I have mostly adjusted to the keysize and it's fine now.The key presses are definitely quieter than my previous keyboard. With the Razer Chroma, I could hear the key presses through my headset. With this G915, I hear nothing. The tactile response is the same, and is great for my adhd and need to fidget. Getting that response at my finger tips tricks my brain into thinking I am fidgeting and doing something else, even when I am working, which helps to increase my focus.
