Keyboard could not have been made better. I did not want to buy the g915 lightspeed due to the few fallbacks that it had, such as micro usb instead of usb c charging, wobbly slick keys, dedicated macro keys felt like rubber and so on. This keyboard is the same as the g915, just that it fixed all of the mistaked the previous versiom made. The keys are sturdy and firm, little to no wobble to them and they look a lot better than the slick version. With 100% ripple rgb the keyboard lasted over a week for me, which is in my opinion very much satisfactory. I took the blue clicky switches because I did not want to get disappointed in the tactile switches (linear ones are just awful anyways Idk why they even exist). I approve of this keyboard and imo there is no reason for this keyboard to be the keyboard of the year wince it simply has everything. 10/10

Bought this keyboard through the CeX website about 3 weeks ago. I was listed as A condition but I was still very happy to see this arrive in the original box with all of the extras included. The keyboard is to my eyes in mint condition and performs very well. This would be my first mechanical keyboard coming from the G213. It was very important to me to keep the media controls which this one has too. the keys feel nice and solid with a satisfying solid noise when typing. The G Hub software works well and has per-key lighting for you to customize to your heart's content. The lightspeed adapter is mindblowing with latency on par or better than wired, some people online have said the adapter needs to be close to the keyboard but in my testing, I could comfortably go to ... MoreBought this keyboard through the CeX website about 3 weeks ago. Ill have to update pictures on this but i really love this now its been set to a little while. Super easy to set up, super pretty and looks amazing at night! Ive had to keep my little one away and he hide it a few times because she has some obsession with it too!Battery life seems really good so far but time will tell with long time use, hopefully there wont be any issues as there hasnt been so far. Overall I really recommend especially if you have a starter set up like me.
Great keyboard! The quality is extremely well built and the keys are very smooth, like a matte kind of finish. I work from home and game on this keyboard and it has been extremely comfortable. I use to have the first g915 clicky keys but since then I bought this newer version of tactical keys and I have fallen in love with it! I also love the fact they added the USB-C charging port instead of the micro USB like tr previous versions. 10/10!
This is a really great keyboard. I will do my best to write a review that addresses any concerns or questions a counsumer like myself may have to help make your decision on whats best for you.TLDR; Great low profile keyboard with a justifyable pricetag.I will break down my unboxing and usage experience as best I could. First off, the item is packaged very well, it has a nice looking box, and there are satisfying moments as soon as you open the package. The board is heavy! You can feel its heft immediatly and you can tell this is unlike any other keyboard you've used in the past if you havent bought a $200+ keyboard before. The full aluminum frame is very attractive and it has a nice brushed finish. The flip down feet at the top corners of the rear of the keyboard ... MoreThis is a really great keyboard. You can feel its heft immediatly and you can tell this is unlike any other keyboard you've used in the past if you havent bought a $200+ keyboard before. The full aluminum frame is very attractive and it has a nice brushed finish. The flip down feet at the top corners of the rear of the keyboard can give you a slight pitch, if that is what you prefer.KeysThe keys feel like they are made of the same material, but they may be plastic. The tactile keys have a slight click when pushed in which you can hear and feel. Its worth noting here this is not a particularly loud click and the feel is miniscule as well. If you are looking for a silent press, this is not that keyboard nor is it a loud keyboard if you want that, either.LightingThe lighting of the keys is superb. It is bright and clear. To adjust the colors use the G Hub app. It's a very easy app to use and really well designed. The app has several preset effects like most RBG do nowadays (i.e. rainbow) and there are a few Logitech only settings. I like the ease of use, and per key lighting assignment is dope! The G logo in the top left gives a nice design touch to it. I normally do not like logos on things but it looks good up there and you can easily change that light or have it match the rest of your board.Auxillary keysThe most useful key here, in my opinion, is the "Game mode" (joystick looking) key. This will disable the Windows key so you will never minimize your game when you have a missed keystroke! With this key, in the app, you can assign any other keys to disable when engaged as well. The G keys are essentially F1-9 and they are changed from default in the app as well. The media control keys are self explanitory, as are the other round keys, and the volume wheel is large, responsive and has the same premium feel the entire keyboard has, as well. The round keys are a rubber or silicone with a slight concave feel, also nice.Battery and connectivityI've had no issues with either of these thus far. It is worth noting I do occasionally charge the board, before the battery status goes low. Also I have only used the lightspeed connection and my keyboard is less than 2 feet away from my micro PC. Battery status is displayed in the app, and the connectivity is shown there as well.AppOne of the better designed apps i've used for this sort of thing. You can tell they put a lot of time into this to make your experience as easy and pleasant as possible.ComplaintsI really only have one, and its a personal thing. This is a low profile keyboard. The keys are also low profile and they have like a flat feel to them. If you use low pro keybaords this is a non issue. However, if you are like myself and have only used standard style keyboards in the past it will take some getting used to.SummaryThis is an expensive keyboard, you don't need me to tell you that. I will tell you that the pricetag is fair because of the feel and finish of this item. You immediately feel a difference if you've never used a high end keyboard before, like myself. That being said it wont make you any better at gaming, and will not improve your typing. As far as I am concerned, no keyboard can do that. It will 100% improve your experience and satisfaction while using it, though. If you can swing it financially to splurge on this luxury item, then go for it. If not there are many keyboards that perform the same basic funtions for much less. I hope this review helps if you are on the fence or just browsing.
I'm someone who loves gaming and mechanical rgb keyboards and have for a while, previous using razor and other cheaper gaming keyboard, I love the sound of them. But i absolutely type so much faster and easier on those of a laptop keyboard. When i first saw the original g915, I wanted one immediately, seeing as it was the best of both worlds, yet there was issues with the keys no longer working snd the key caps rubbing off. I'm happy to say this keyboard has given me none of those issues and has addressed them in the new release of the G915 X. I love how it sounds and feels and the wireless connectivity is incredibly easy to use and is so fast I questioned if I had it plugged in! Keyboard feels premium and there's significantly less backlight bleed than I'm used to on my Corsair keyboards. Some people complain that the rubber buttons on the top feel cheap but they don't bother me at all and I actually like them too.I tried all 3 key types and settled on linear. It was hard to part with tactile but coming from a linear switch it was more "normal" to me. I'll provide some thoughts on each key type below for those interested. I tried each over a course of a few days and had them side-by-side as well.Clicky: Very, very fun typing experience. Not as loud as MX blues. They do feel a bit mushy after awhile because of the key travel after the press. If you think the clicking will annoy you, I highly recommend NOT choosing these ... MoreKeyboard feels premium and there's significantly less backlight bleed than I'm used to on my Corsair keyboards. They do feel a bit mushy after awhile because of the key travel after the press. If you think the clicking will annoy you, I highly recommend NOT choosing these switches.Tactile: Middle ground between linear and clicky. They are probably quieter than linear and do have a nice feel. While they don't have the satisfying "click" of the clicky switches they feel less mushy and also feel smoother than the clicky switches. I had a hard time parting with these even after trying the linear.Linear; Smooth as butter. They feel similar to tactile but without any "click" or feedback. I think these might be a bit louder than tactile if you thump the keys all the way down. I find that I have less mis-presses with these linear switches than Corsair keyboards and I attribute it to the texture and shape of the keycaps.I don't think you can go wrong with any of these options, but I would recommend tactile or linear if your setup is a mix between office and gaming use.One final note - this is my first TKL keyboard. I've been used to full-sized my whole life and thought I would miss the numpad. I don't miss it at all, and I find the TKL is more ergonomically friendly as well.I HIGHLY recommend this keyboard!
So this keyboard is very nice. I got it for Mac mini which it does work for. So the keyboard doesn’t have Mac key cap replacements. But most of the key functions work like the screen brightness is F1 &F2, the command key is the windows keys. And I use the function keys for like copy, paste, etc… you can remap all the keys if you want. So I used one of the g keys as a lock button. The software is pretty good it doesn’t fail but since it’s for windows it can get a little finicky.
I bought the original 915 TKL clicky, it was the best low profile keyboard (with low profile switches too) that i could find and i loved it. Typing was easy and so correct, and gaming response and ergonomics were super. I had some gripes with the wobbly keycaps, then the micro-usb port on the keyboard was very loose and sucked, also the secondary kepcap charactera werent etched or illuminated so that was a nuisance in the dark. When i saw this new version came out i was stoked and i was right to be, all those issues were fixed and they upgraded to a snug and sturdy usbc port, upgraded the keykaps and aluminum thickness and the switches were redisigned to stop the wobble. For those of you conisdering your first or if you’re upgrading, go for it, worth it!
