Logitech G915 x TKL Wireless RGB Gaming Keyboard - Black

Great wireless mechanical gaming keyboard from Logitech; I prefer low-profile chicklet keys similar to laptops, and this keyboard satisfies that requirement well. I just wish they used USB-C for the charging cable instead of micro-USB. Also, Logitech should definitely develop Powerplay wireless charging for their keyboards too.Don't be like my partner and smash the soft rubber buttons at the top of the keyboard; they only require a gentle push, and will wear out if you're not taking care. They're basically impossible to repair without dismantling the entire keyboard and doing some resoldering.

Good keyboard overall with just a few complaints

The keyboard quality is amazing. I did not expect this type of durability, nor did I expect the cold, hard touch of metal. It's very thin, sleek and is a bit heavier than expected (although that's not bad). The RGB lights are pretty nice, too. Lower light settings definitely decrease battery drain, so keep that in mind if you don't need the lights blazing at full power. It's also really nice to clean as the keys stick out as opposed to some keyboards where the keys are sunk into the keyboard.There are some complaints, however. Memory keys "M1 M2 M3 MR, Lightning wifi, bluetooth, game switch, keys... battery life, and caps indicators" all non customizable for color. which isnt that big of a deal... what does bum me out is that there is no number locks indicator... a which for me is a bigger bummer.3. the board does not sense your hand hovering or moving in... i just came off the K800 board which i've used for several years... and that board would sense your hand coming in... it was awesome i loved that feature...4. the obvious flaw about this board is it has no built on palm rest which is a big bummer for me because i grab and move my board a lot and type in my lap 99% of the time. so ill have to customize something for it in that regard...also moving this board in the dark is difficult... not as bad as something like the K4 where all the keys are smashed together but still i keep mashing other buttons also turning on bluetooth... which disconnects my board and kicks off my custom backlighting until the board reconnnects...6. speaking of that... blue tooth only has default customization. you can not customize the pattern which is a big bummer for me as well...7. i wish the volume scroller could be customized for other things... also i wish it had a notch feature like the mouse wheels... apparently however this volume wheel use to have some serious delay when scrolling it... i am happy to say thats been patched... it scrolls in real time for me.8. this is kind of a sales con on walmart... i purchased this board not knowing it was the slightly older version... which isnt a totally huge deal however i have the old mini usb charging cable and not the new c-usb cable... so it doesnt match my new mouse... which is also not that big of a deal because i charge my xbox 1 controller and head set with the older usb mini... so i have that cable here anyway.9. im not sure about durability. i have dropped it once... and when i dropped it, it shut off and took a little bit to come back on i was scared i broke it but it came on and works perfectly still. this kinda goes along with the difficult to grab and move con...i would write more pros but really the whole board over comes these cons and i foresee myself using this board for years to come. ABOLSUTELY LOVE THE LIGHTING CUSTOMIZATION!

Long term + Compared to Razer Huntsman Elite

I have had multiple "higher end" gaming keyboards over the past few years. 2 of my Huntsman Elites had issues after about a year. The first the arm rest lighting died, the second the volume control quit.Between the Huntsman and the Ornata I definitely like the Huntsman better, however it is twice as expensive.On to the Logitech - This keyboard is a typing dream, due to the low profile there is no wrist rest needed. It still has the clicky of a mechanical keyboard. It is equally as fast as the Huntsman. I now find the other Razer offerings a bit inferior now that I am used to this keyboard.Software - The logitech software is not overbearing like the Razer. Since an update Razer would from time to time cause weird conflicts with other software. Running in the background currently using 42MB of RAM.It will run wirelessly over the included dongle or bluetooth, So connection to multiple devices such as cabled to a computer, then used on another device when you need it to become portable (tablet/laptop).The volume control works well. It is smooth rolling, I wish it had "notches" though so you could feel how much you were increasing the volume.Battery life seems to last forever, most of the time I leave mine plugged in. My only complaint is they used micro-USB on the keyboard side instead of USB-C which is more common today. Not a deal breaker.Another thing I appreciate is the durability of the riser feet underneath. On ALL my OTHER keyboards when I slid my keyboard forward on my mouse pad, the feet folded underneath. THE LOGITECH DOES NOT DO THIS!!It is these small attentions to detail which make this a better option in my opinion. Used as a gaming keyboard or for your office you will not be disappointed. Software required - can't use for work

I bought this keyboard because it has a cord, it offers a mechanical typing experience with low key action, it has a full number pad, and I hoped it would reduce my hand fatigue at work. (I type all day.) I cringed at the price (~$175 with tax), but I really needed a new keyboard. I tried out this keyboard in-store and purchased it online. Unfortunately, this keyboard has limited functionality as a plug-and-play device, which I did not see in the online product description or as part of the in-store display. None of the macro keys work, and it's impossible to use most other features, unless a software package (G Hub) is installed. Way better than I expected... 100% recommend

I bought this keyboard during black friday sales. So the specs say the battery lasts 40 hours. But when I got home and plugged it in, it was at about 50% battery. I used it that day and then the next, and it was down to about 10%, so I plugged it in to charge it overnight.That was about 7 days ago and it's still @ 70% battery, and the battery life has really exceeded my expectations.I have the brightness et to 30%, on a 10s cycle for the lighting effect. In the device settings, set the the effect to Dim Active Effect, I have the brightness on 25%, and it dims after 1 min, turns the lights off after 2 mins. I have it set to turn low battery mode, so it pulses red @ 15% and lower. With the Razer Chroma, I could hear the key presses through my headset. With this G915, I hear nothing.The tactile response is the same, and is great for my adhd and need to fidget. Getting that response at my finger tips tricks my brain into thinking I am fidgeting and doing something else, even when I am working, which helps to increase my focus.
