Logitech MX Keys Mini Wireless Keyboard Graphite [920-010613]
The keyboard is the main input peripheral used by all computers. The keyboard allows for user input and interaction with the computer. Much like many typewriters the keyboard has all the letters of the alphabet, numbers 0 - 9 and additional special operational keys, e.g. for adjusting the volume or going to your inbox directly. There are three different connection types: - USB is the most modern. You can recognize it by the rectangular connector. - PS/2 connectors are round. This type of connection is fairly commonly used by PC's. - Bluetooth is another modern (wireless) connection method.

Overall the keyboard is great but there is one issue though. I paired the keyboard with my mac mini and when I start the system and it gets to the login screen where I'm supposed to enter the password, the keyboard is not available yet. For now, I plugged in another USB keyboard just to enter a password so I can log in to the system. Once I log in the keyboard works fine. But I have to enter the password from another wired keyboard every single time I start my device and that becomes really annoying. Now here's a question. Will MX Keys Mini become available on the login screen of macOS if I connect it with Logi Bolt? If so, that means I have to spent another $25 which is frustrating. Otherwise, I just can't fully utilize the device.

I went through 2 other mini keyboards in one month and the 3rd one was the Logitech MX Keys Mini. This keyboard is the best keyboard I have ever purchased. The size is perfect. The quality is primo and I love the way the backlit keys turn on when I'm getting close to typing. I need to see some keys and tiny characters on black don't work well. And I've had no disconnections problems.

That's a very well designed keyboard, portable, low profile and quite responsive even when it is connected via bluetooth (whithout Logi Bolt). However, it is positioned as a universal keyboard which is not entirely true considering that it cannot match precisely the layout of a mac keyboard due to the fact that the ctrl and fn keys (on the botton left corner) are swapped compared to how they are positioned on a MacBook. So if you use these keys extensively, you will have hard time when switching from MacBook's built-in keyboard to the logitech's mx mini since the force of habit will make you press ctrl instead of fn and vice versa. That's something that logitech has to take into account and fix it by allowing the user to swap those keys from Logitech Options.
I bought the MX keys mini and a mouse (Lift) at the same time. I installed the mouse 1st since it came with the Logi Bolt USB Receiver. Once that was installed and I "Logi Options" installed it was easy to set up the keyboard. I am not using the Bluetooth. The keyboard is smooth and easy to use. I was using a really different keyboard before but it has only taking me a couple of days to get comfortable with the keyboard.
I recently purchased the Logitech MX Keys mini, hoping to use it for both typing and gaming. However, I was disappointed to find out that this keyboard does not support N-Keys rollover, which is essential for gaming. ( It only recoganize one key press at a time )While the keyboard looks and feels great, the lack of N-Keys rollover means that I am unable to play most of the games. This is a significant drawback for me, as I was hoping to use the MX Keys mini as an all-in-one keyboard. If you are primarily looking for a keyboard for only typing, then the Logitech MX Keys mini is an excellent choice. However, if you are a gamer, then I would not recommend this keyboard.
Logitech really killed any positive feelings I had about them in one night. Found out they deleted my one-star verified review last night so I'm going to keep posting this until they keep it up. I recently obtained a new Mac Mini and this keyboard (the Logitech MX Keys Mini). While setting up the Mac Mini, it came time to connect a keyboard with it or else you cannot complete the setup. I was really excited to use this keyboard until I found out they did not include a USB unifying receiver. This wasn't the case of a missing part—I later found out that none of the MX Keys Minis come with a USB unifying receiver. Why? This is such a useful feature, especially when Bluetooth doesn't work. "No matter," I thought. I'll just try to connect the MX Keys Mini via Bluetooth—except it couldn't be found by Bluetooth. Figures. I even tried connecting the MX Keys Mini with the charging cable thinking that would work. It didn't. How can Logitech charge $100 for a keyboard and NOT have multiple ways of connecting that keyboard to a computer? And how can you get rid of such a useful feature like the universal USB unifying receiver?! So, because this keyboard could not connect to my new computer, I was locked out of finishing the setup because there's no way of continuing the setup without a keyboard input. It just so happens that I had a second Logitech keyboard on hand—the Logitech Ergo K860. And this one actually came with the USB unifying receiver. Thank god right? No. The USB unifying receiver didn't work. Really? How can you mess up something as simple as a USB connecting device. I then tried connecting the Ergo K860 via Bluetooth, but this also could not be found. So I had $230 worth of new, premium Logitech keyboards that could not work with setting up a new computer—a common Mac. None of these keyboards came with a backup way of connecting to the computer rendering them useless. The only way I could finish setting up my new computer was with a cheap $30 keyboard from a separate brand. Logitech, get your act together."I really can't believe Logitech deleted this review. Thankfully I saved their confirmation email to prove this was submitted and verified on October 23, 2021. So I'm going to keep posting this until they keep it up. I had a lot of positive experiences with Logitech in the past, but they really killed any positive feelings I had for their brand and their products based on last night.
Overall I LOVE this keyboard. I was going to go with a cheaper option but after a few minutes typing on displays it was obvious this was superior and I just took the cost- worth it. It's study, good grips so it doesnt more around at all and the noise of the keys is minimal. The illumination is chic and the dished keys are a feature that I didn't know I needed and I don't think I'll ever be able to go back. My only gripe is this full version doesn't have the dictattion, mute or emoji keys. And it doesn't have an idicator light for the Number lock button so you cannot see if it's on or not. I known this is a minor issue, but it's standard on like every other keyboard in history sooooo why not on this otherwise impressive modern keyboard.
1. I use the keyboard with Windows and keys with double marking for Mac are very very very annoying. The main key "Start" is completely unreadable. These are the least used actions. Not to mention that there is a native shortcut for emoji in Windows.I don't understand why Logitech decided to ruin such a great keyboard idea with a terrible decision for absolutely terrible keycaps that just not suitable for Windows experience. Offer a dedicated Windows keyboard or supply the keyboard with 4 replaceable keycaps for Start, Alt Left, Alt Right, and Ctrl Right. Mac's prominent marking kills the experience.
My favorite keyboard has always been the apple magic keyboard. This keyboard feels a lot like the magic keyboard but a bit more comfy. Additionally it has backlighting! Its heavyweight and feels high quality! The key sounds are excellent not too quite with good feedback.I wish the backlighting timer could be adjusted and was longer. It's nice that you do not need to press a key to get it to light up but sometimes I lose my keyboard in the dark. The white version on this keyboard the keys are a little hard to see so I traded for the black one.You did a really good job Logitech thank you for building an excellent keyboard!
