M18 18V Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless 1/2 in. Compact Hammer Drill/Driver (Tool-Only)

This little hammer drill is fantastic! At the time of purchase, I owned 3 Milwaukee tools that use the M18 battery system. So, this was purchased as a “tool only”. Being a new home owner, I finally needed a real hammer drill. I just can’t express how much more effective this is over a standard drill or impact driver….for drilling into brick or concrete. From hanging signs, decorations and flag poles to helping a best friend with honey-do’s, this thing makes short work of what otherwise is a tedious / difficult task. Very satisfied with the purchase, would do it over again.

Brushless, compact, hammer and easy drilling job

I finally bought this M18 Milwaukee hammer drill with two torque settings and various drill speed depending on the job. This drill size is so light without a battery, but man can it deliver. You cannot go wrong with drilling. On top the motor is brushless which means the drill lifespan will last for a long time. When I bought the drill, I also got a 2.0 Ah genuine battery. I am super happy! Go ahead just buy it you’ll be happy as I am.

Do not buy this specific hammer drill.

I’ve been an avid Milwaukee owner but, I bought this drill brand new less than a week ago. Within 4 days I used this to drill (4) 1/4”x 1” tapcons.Already burned the motor out and the tool barely works anymore.

Great dependability & high quality cordless tool as I've come to expect from Milwaukee! I own many M18 & M12 tools. My crews like them as well.

Milwake tool set 2 drills one charger. best choice

i had bought the set it came with another drill but i had troubes punching in the number so i just out one that came with the set. 2 drills and a charger they come in handy greatly used these products for years now and i wont choose anything else than milwakee

Terrible Chuck Design

Absolutely dreadful chuck. Constantly sticks, extremely difficult to remove bits after every use. Not helped by they virtually smooth surface of the check, making it difficult to grip. Worst I've ever experienced and first disappointing experience with a Milwaukee tool.

I use/have a lot of tools from MILWAUKEE. Very reliable and batteries are long lasting (in my personal experience vs. some other brands).This Compact Hammer Drill/Driver is excellent example of thoughtful design. One of the most miniature drills I used to work with – definitely a plus if you must work in tight spaces. Very light -about 2.3 lb; not a problem to attach a larger battery and be able to operate for extended periods of time or perform heavy duty tasks. Very convenient – seats pleasantly in my hands (both hands). Easy to adjust “functions” you need. The capabilities (550 in-lbs of torque and 1,700 RPM (max)) are adequate for my daily use. I rarely need to drill into brick or concrete and therefore I didn't want to spend the money on a SDS hammer-drill, which I consider a one-trick-pony. The Milwaukee M18 18V Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless 1/2 in. Compact Hammer Drill/Driver (Tool-Only) lets me drill into concrete if I need to and is a very compact cordless drill the rest oft the time.The drill is very compact and relatively light weight (depending on which size battery you add). It has plenty of torque for what I'm using it for.

[Rewarded Review] High Quality Cordless Drill Motor

I appreciate the very compact head. I measured it with my tape measure and it measured a mere 5-7/8 inched in length. Compare this to one of my other cordless drills where the head measures 9-1/2 inches in length.I appreciate that the numbers 1 and 2 are painted white on the speed selector switch on top. On some of my other cordless tools I have painted in the indented numbers so that I could see them better. I tried drilling a 2 by 4 with a ½ inch twist drill bill and it worked well for that. Overall, this is a high quality cordless drill motor and I highly recommend it.

The Milwaukee compact hammer drill is well designed and powerful. I used it to install cabinets in my basement and it worked perfectly because the one I had was too heavy to hold. This one is light and I like the back design because it's flat making it easy to set it down. I got this because I needed to build a kayak rack in my garage which has concrete walls and my regular drill wasn't good enough for drilling into concrete. This is one tool every homeowner needs to have around. You can complete many types of projects with this one. I also used for drilling into a toilet tank to convert a touchless toilet into one with a flush lever. It worked great because I had limited space and this was not bulky.
