Maison Margiela Replica Autumn Vibes Eau De Toilette Spray 100ml

My friend gave me this travel spray as a gift. When I first smelled it I wasn’t sure but after wearing it for a few hours it really grew on it. To describe it fully it truly smells like fall in a bottle. A warm, woodsy earthy fragrance that has both masculine feminine notes. Imagine fall leaves on the ground, balsam trees blowing in the wind, while sipping a spicy chai tea. The notes of cardamom, fir balsam and cedar wood combined really does embody the smell of a crisp fall day. If you like spicy, woodsy or earthy fragrances, I would definitely recommend this one! It’s truly unique.

I was worried I wouldn’t like this scent because I’ve seen reviews saying you either love it or hate it. I was surprised that I actually really like it! Initially after spraying it smells like woody, spicy cinnamon with slight sweet musk and a hint of wet soil haha. After four hours, all I smell is sweet cinnamon. This scent definitely reminds me of Fall. I tested this scent at Sephora and hated it I wonder if the testers were super old. Fresh out of the box, it smells amazing! Took a star off because it only lasts about 5 hours on me.

I am obsessed

I purchased the discovery set to begin with and fell in love with the “ autumn vibe” tester. Although, I don’t think the scent reminds me of Red leaves and woolly walks as describes by the perfumer. It does undoubtedly remind me off a Tibetan Monastery and a camp fire For example, the burning of in-cents, burning wood with a subtle sweetness. I would also point out smelling quite similar to Diptyque tam dao but this one is the better smelling I can honestly say this fragrance is gorgeous! It’s been a while since I’ve purchased a scent that makes me obsess over it I.e talking about it and using it every day. The only negative is the projection it doesn’t last long and would had been even better if it was perfume!

My Very Favorite for Late Summer, Fall, Winter!!

To me this tops all of their fragrances, particularly for the late summer, fall and winter months. It absolutely does have a cozy sweetness, no doubt. It’s more of an autumn gourmand. It evokes the most beguiling autumn golden glow of fallen leaves under your feet with just enough amber touch. It’s especially perfect sprayed on underneath your warmest cozy sweater or flannel. It’s not cloying and has a delicate Sillage. I get many compliments when I wear it and it has been my go to time and again throughout these past 2 1/2 seasons. It’s a very comforting fragrance. I used up my entire bottle and I’m back for another. I’m completely blown away that of all the Maison Margiela Fragrances, seems to be rated the lowest. To me it’s their number one; my favorite! :)

Nailed the fall outdoors scent

I actually love how much they nailed this scenery for me, what an art form. The scent also lasts a very long time considering it's an eau de toilette.Overall, it's a solid unisex fragrance, leaning masculine, in my opinion. Great quality, great formulation, but I don't think the scent is quite for me. The initial blast is really nice, and I can even smell a hint of the red berries at first, however the berries quickly fade on me, and the woody and spicy notes become stronger. On my partner, the touch of red berries seem to carry through and it smells amazing on him mixed with the rest of the earthy notes. I have, however, tried it with other perfumes in my collection and I have enjoyed it very much that way. I love to pair either a woody, spicy floral with it, or a vanilla, amber scent pairs so nicely with it as well. On myself, I think this scent also seems to go better with cooler weather, maybe because it doesn't seem so harsh and out of place during the fall and winter season as opposed to summer, so maybe I'll enjoy it even more as the temperatures start to cool down. All in all, I don't think I'll keep this for very long for myself, but I know I'll enjoy it even more on my partner.

Revolting Scent

I am flabbergasted that this is currently rated 4 stars! I always try to find something positive about every product but sadly I cannot find anything nice to say about this one. The scent is so bad it made me feel sick, and I’m not sensitive to smells. I don’t even know what to compare it to - maybe something dead under rotten leaves in a forest? I asked my boyfriend to smell it and he responded as if I was asking him to smell the most disgusting thing in the world. So it wasn’t just me. Of course since I didn’t like the smell it seemed to linger forever. As time went on and the scent started to get fade it was still horrible. I can’t fathom how the company put this product out. And for $85? Pass.

I got this in their memory box. This does a great job of evoking Autumn and cooler months with a smokey, woodsy, mossy, leafy scent. You can really smell the base notes in the opening that gives it that smokey, woodsy smell - cedar and moss, as well as the middle note, frankincense, at least when I first sprayed it. It’s a warm, slightly spicy fragrance, and I could smell dill on the dry down. I like that this doesn’t turn overly sweet or gourmand like some other autumnal perfumes. It’s quite masculine for a unisex fragrance, so it might not be for everyone. Even though it’s an eau de toilette, it lasted awhile, and much longer than their other eau de toilettes that I have tried. Like other reviews, it reminded me of Santal 33. Walking through a forest, trail carpeted in leaves

The scent of this fragrance is uncanny to me. I purchased a sampler pack of all the REPLICA fragrances and decided to try this one on a cool, autumn day. It smells exactly like I am walking through a forest during October when most of the leaves have met the ground and are starting to decay. It's not really a fragrance you would wear to work or on a date; it is definitely a fragrance you use if you are trying to recreate a moment in time (which is what Maison Margiela claims to do). I sprayed my wrists and neck this morning and can still smell it. It also has good throw, which is why I wouldn't necessarily wear this to work.
