I'm a Makita fan and this battery so far is pretty good. gives a bit more power Which Makita lacks especially for power saw and recipro saw. Great value for money. recommend it if your using cordless gear flat out.

The battery fits Makita power tools BUT doesn't fit any one of my 3 genuine Makita chargers. I purchased 2 x 5ah batteries and they didn't fit the charger and after complaining the seller sent 2 replacement batteries. The replacement batteries only just fit into my chargers, even then the battery needs to be wriggled into position after many attempts and about 30 seconds trying. Don't bother buying them.

There's cheap and there's cheap and nasty, well these batteries fall in the cheap category. I have used them on our reciprocating saw for a week now and they hold up quite well. I tried one on my drill and tried to flatten the battery but couldn't do it so I am quite pleased with the results.

I have been able to use the battery 5 times so far without any issues at all. It delivers constant power to the Makita blower. Running at most powerful speed it drained the battery after about 20 minutes. In my book thats pretty good. One thing remains to be seen yet is to see how many full recharge cycles I will be able to achieve without loosing too many amps. So far very happy
The batteries supplied were 5 ah, not 6 ah as quoted. It is unfair on competitors to supply a lesser product than advertised in order to get the sale.
The battery fits Makita tools however it does not deliver the power or lifetime when tools are used at full capacity, especially for metal work. Good for handy work but anything more than that it does not hold its weight for the price. Purchase manufacturer batteries.
I'm an Electrical Contractor and use various Makita tools. Whilst I'm happy with the tools, the Makita batteries have let me down regularly, often failing within a year, which is expensive and annoying, since I have to take time to go and replace them. I bought non genuine this time, at about one third the price. They arrived promptly, they fit in my Makita tools and charger no problem and supply plenty of torque. Hopefully they'll last longer than the genuine ones.
Fordt time i used they didnt last aslong as my 3ah makita branded batteries. Thought maybe i didnt charge then properly so tried and get and still couldn't get the task completed that i would have with me 3ah batteries. Very disappointing
These batteries are advertised as "genuine makita batteries", but obviously they are not, simply because they are very tight when fitted to my genuine makita tools. They won't even fit my cordless makita jigsaw.
does not hold charge, when compare them with my old battery, old ones are much better. these are meant for American market not Australian. They carry Makita Logo but feels like cheap knockoffs. highly disappointing.
