Makita BL1850B 18V LXT Lithium-Ion 5.0Ah Battery

Couldn’t recommend the 5.0 Ah batteries more. Although they are heavier- suck it up, it builds muscle ;). I love that I can count on the quick charge time and how long each battery lasts. Depending what tool, I can go 2-4 hours on one battery using constantly. I now have three of them and watch for deals. I couldn’t be happier.

Cheap and comparable

I have used one battery, I used it on a rotary saw, it lasted as long as my my smaller 2AH Makita battery which was to be expected( which is not a long time), I will be testing out the battery length on a drill this weekend ( which should last longer as it does not use as much to work). The product is much cheaper than Makita batteries so it is a value if you are realistic with your expectations. I will probably buy this item again in time as they are much much cheaper than the Makita brand.

Genuine Makita

I tried an cheap off brand Chinese knock off and was sorely disappointed. Ordered this and after charging for an hour, then using it to blow leaves off my carport, this was the real deal. Very happy with this battery.

Great Batterys

One of my two died, so at first I was going to replace the drills. After reading the different reviews, I felt since my two drills worked great I would replace the batterys. I first purchased the less expensive one and was disappointed it would not hold its charge very long. Even though these batterys are much more expensive, I went ahead and purchased them. They are great, seems to hold the charge forever. The only negative is since they are larger to hold a longer charge, they are a little heavier. I got use to it.

Great batteries.

These Makita batteries are awesome. I have been a Makita fan ever since they first came out with there first line of cordless tools with the nicad batteries. These batteries are 100 % better than the old ones and last a very long time on a single charge. Couldn't ask for a better tool or a better battery. Thank you, Makita. Jim

Half the price but less than half the quality.

I bought the 5Ah twin pack for 18V Makita. I should have known better. After only the second or third use and recharge the charger indicated a bad battery adn would not charge it. The other battery does not show near the energy of the Real Makita 5Ah batterys I have since purchased. I am an electronics technician with many years of experience so I opened and checked the battery pack and sure enough one of the battery pairs showded essentially zero volts. There is absolutely no reason that a new battery pack should have battery failure after only a few uses so I suspect these batterys are rejects or "renewed". I will not buy any more of this VANON brand battery pack.

It's a Great Battery

When it comes to Makita, you should always opt for the OEM battery. I've tried off brands, but after several recharges or leaving them on a charger for a long period of time, they fail. With the Makita BL 1850B, I've never had an issue. I still have the original battery the came with the drill 6 or 7 years ago and it hasn't failed yet

Large Storage Capacity for Plenty of Available Power

Great Li-ion battery, high storage capacity, 5.0Ah. I use it with the Makita DEBADP05 adapter that has 2 USB ports to power or charge LV lights in my camper. Really nice to not be drawing from the starter battery. Plus, if I want, 5.0Ah battery has capacity to run tools larger than my drill & impact driver, like a circular saw. On-board fuel level lights are great too. Good product, good purchase.

Might as well be factory issued.

I've seen a lot of these batteries from different makers for different brands. Makita, Milwaukee, Dewalt, Ridgid to bame a few. They only con to this battery is it doesn't say makita on the side. In every other way it looks and functions as a factory made power supply. It comes with a five year warranty as well. The price was far lower than a factory battery. In my opinion this is one of the best deals out there.

There is no indication this is a Makita" product. There are no "Makita" markings on the battery case. I suspect theses are more of the lesser quality after market batteries. It's an outrage that they are advertised as "Makita", and shown as Makita in the photos, but not labeled that way. Time will tell if they are any good or not. I answered yes because they are recent arrivals and have no performance opinion yet. Shipping was well over the mentioned 4 days. It was more like 10 days.
