Bought this mfg refurbished from rafsupply and am super happy with it. All modes work as expected. I read some reviews online that said the drill got stuck in hammer mode, which is why I imagine this was refurbished. Great to know the tool has been gone over by Makita. It is an absolute beast with tons of torque and great speed control.

This drill is amazing. It has just the right amount of torque, stong like a plug in drill but it wont break your arm. The chuck gets very tight with very little effort. THe drill runs cool and is balanced. Excellent quality tool, great design.

Perfect upgrade to my older drill that broke the main shaft. Torque went from 480 to 535 lb. Also runs cooler and is brushless. Highly recommend

I already had a smaller Makita drill but it was up to some jobs. Because I was happy with the quality of Makita products I bought this larger option. I have not been disappointed. Another plus is that I have a few different tools by Makita so the batteries are interchangeable
Excellent tool. Bought for son n he cannot tell its reconditioned at all. N I m not telling him see if he would notice anything unusual haha. Used it several times already smooth tool.
It works better then the brushed models. I went thru the standard and heavy duty models. Don't waste your money on those if your going to use them daily in the trade. I gotta say my Milwaukee is the work horse. Makita drill has the Hammer drill driver setting. It has a plastic chuck. Milwaukee's metal. Same with the skill saw the guard breaks almost rite away. Milwaukee is metal so it doesn't. It's a good drill shipped fast can't go wrong either way.
Makita XPH12Z is just what I needed for my 18v Makita bag. Just the right size just enough drilling power, and hammer function too if needed
Very powerful drill. I use only makita power tools and I've never been disappointed. I bought this to upgrade to brushless and it was well worth it. My old drill I've used daily for 4 years and other than 1 replacement battery I've had no issues. I simply switched because it was such a good deal but now I'm contemplating switching my work tools to brushless and bringing my work horses hoke for around the house projects. Keep it up makita! Great products!
I use drills daily ro cut metals of all sizes and shapes. For handheld drills I will only use 3 brands, makita being my choice for compact. This drill does not dissapoint. Its a beast for this price range.
Like new. Tool operates as expected. Replaced my older version of this model after 12 years of good use. Pleasantly surprised how new the refurbished tool operates.
