I received a travel-sized Mario Badescu Witch Hazel and Rosewater Toner in a gift with purchase a while ago. I have been using it on and off and have not been able to find anything negative about it. As for positive, the toner smells lovely and does not dry my skin, but other than that it is hard to say what its effects are. I would not necessarily repurchase, but would quite gladly use another one if it was included in a GWP.

This is a nice toner, which helps boost radiance and glow. However, I didn't feel it was hydrating nor calming enough for my sensitive skin at the moment. Granted, it doesn't exacerbate sensitivity/redness, but my skin doesn't feel more 'comfortable' after applying this, and there are days when this feels quite 'astringent'. As a result, I don't use it every morning as I was hoping I would and I won't repurchase soon. However, I would consider repurchasing in the future if my skin goes through a less sensitive and more combination/oily phase.

This is my favourite toner - I adore it. It really swipes off the last remnants of any product on the face, is light, doesn't dry out the skin and smells divine. Find it lasts forever too as a little goes a long way. I will definitely be repurchasing once finished.

I've been using this toner on and off for several years and I like it because it is refreshing without being sticky like some softening lotions or essences. I would say this is good for combination skins that can get a little dehydrated as it doesn't leave the skin feeling tight.I like the plastic bottle as it can be reused and is much better for travelling.
This is a great toner, really nice and refreshing. Has a lovely rose smell to it and has a lovely cooling effect on the skin. Works well for blemish prone skin as it really feels like it cleanses the skin before applying other skincare products. The bottle is also quite a good size for the price and lasts a long time.

I had some cystic acne and regular breakouts and my dermatologist recommended I get on a prescription medication that had a lot of side effects. I'm so glad now that I'm not taking any intense prescription medication because after I started using this there is no need for it. This cleared my face so well in a really short period of time. I haven't broken out since I started using this product and it makes my skin look much better. I use it in combination with a Neutrogena face wash with salicylic acid and two prescription topical acne medications in the morning and night as recommended by my dermatologist. Tightens pores, leaves skin feeling refreshed and gets rid of makeup residue from the night before - what's not to love? I like the smell of this toner, it doesn't smell synthetic and it doesn't leave a pile film on the skin like some toners. It also doesn't leave my skin feeling dry - which is a bonus!Recommend this product.

I give 1 star by default, second star is for marketing/consumability. Did this product make me want to buy/use it, yes. The third star is for effect vs claim. I gave the star because it has appeared to cleanse my skin while retaining a "moisture barrier" (more on that in a sec). While I enjoy nice scent in my life, I don't very much enjoy the effect that the fragrance in Badescu's most popular products. They've left out any alcohol from this product, so my non-professional opinion is that these fragrances have nothing to evaporate them and are leaving behind the worst parts. Alcohol helps bind the scent to skin and then evaporates rather quickly, while the fragrance (broken down at this stage) slowly decomposes on the skin. While this one has potentially to be a great item, the fragrance, dyes, and the idea of having to dedicate my time to a needy product all just makes me want to trade it in for something else.PS, not sure why this listing says "online only" as it was clearly on the main display in my local ulta, along with the lavender toner as well.
I wish I could pose this as a question rather than a review, but I use and rotate regularly between 3 or 4 different MB toners. I've had no issue with them except for the witch hazel & rose water one. I've begun to notice that when I don't use it for a little while (let me note, it states on the bottle it has a 24 month shelf life once opened and it is stored at the proper temperature along with all my other ones that I've had no issues with) it develops some sort of black cloudy growth at the bottom, which dissipates when shaken but reappears again days later. Is this a normal occurrence for certain ingredients to turn black and settle towards the bottom of the bottle? Or is it caused by mold/bacteria??
