Martin 000-10E Road Series Auditorium Acoustic Electric

I have a 78 d-28... and this by far is becoming my number one. The electronics are fantastic... I don't know how they were able to get such a full sound out of an under saddle piezo. Really comfortable to play. Practically plays it's self. Strum an open G on this and you'll be sold. I was a little hesitant about the "road series" but I can't say enough good things about this little powerhouse.

Let me begin by saying that I've owned a number of Martins over the years - my first "good" guitar was a D28 many moons ago.In that time, I've never seen Martin's quality falter and this guitar is no exception. Tone, construction, and playability are all top-notch.Within the past couple of years, Ive found that a mahogany-topped guitar suits my singing voice and the 000 10 was chosen for that fact. Acoustic Heaven in a Workhorse Guitar

Overall:This guitar has reignited my desire to even play acoustic guitar. My main acoustic Dreadnaught has been in the shop for almost a year, so I have playing mostly electric. I was looking at this model for a long time and was ready to buy it when up popped an ad for the dreadnaught junior with a spruce top. So I bought that model instead. That was an amazing guitar too, but I had this nagging feeling I would regret not trying the 00010E. Reluctantly I sent the junior back and ordered this model. The tone was a stark difference from the Jr with the Spruce top. At first, I was disappointed after the tone of the Spruce top. Then I let the guitar's voice speak to me. The sapele wood is very close to mahogany in tone. I was in tone heaven on an all solid wood Martin guitar at a reasonable price. The action is so supurb, I can do so much. The Fishman electronics are great. My only complaint is the location of the input plug. You need an angled plug if it stays plugged in on stage on a stand. The tuner is ok, and the hard gig bag is total high quality. The guitar is light and comfortable to play. If I could still stand and play for any length of time, it would be a perfect weight. I am so captivated by this guitar, it screams to be played. I have even written some tunes on it. It has seen several gigs during the pandemic crisis. This is a gigging man's (or woman's) workhorse guitar.

Great Guitar and Very Comfortable

I had a Martin dreadnought years ago. That guitar was amazing. It sounded like a record, but unfortunately, I had to let it go because it was just too big for me. My right arm would go numb after playing it for long periods of time. Ever since then I've been after the Martin sound. This guitar has it. It's warm, it's balanced, it projects very well, and it sounds really good plugged in. Being a 000 body style is not as big or as thick as a dreadnought, so it's very comfortable to play, yet it has that Martin sound to it. On top of it, it has a tuner inside the sound hole, which is very convenient and hidden, just as the volume and tone controls. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

Great all around Acoustic

This a great sounding guitar and it's very nice to play. I have not put it down since I bought it. I play mostly electric and wanted this to have for those few songs that require an acoustic. I plan to use it in the future when playing live. The people at Sam Ash are great - just the right amount of attention, answered all questions, and provided good advice. Very happy with this purchase

Martin 000-10e

Out of the box the action was very high. I restrung it with 11s which is my preferred gauge and the action lowered a bit, although the truss rod still needs a slight tweak to get the action to where it should be. ( it doesn't come with a truss rod key). The neck is more substantial than I had expected but not so fat that I can't get to grips with it. If you have tiny hands maybe this isn'tthe guitar for you. There isn't as much projection from the guitar as I thought there would be but it has a nice warm tone which is actually opening up and improving by the day. The machine heads work as they should and it holds tune very well. The onboard tuner works very well and is easily accessed at the edge of the sound hole. I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 because of the lack of acoustic volume, but in its defence this guitar is aimed at the working musician and is most probably going to be played plugged in for the majority of its use. I'm also expecting this guitars tone and volume to improve as time goes on as after only 2 days of playing, its tone has already opened up and improved. For the price this guitar is excellent value.

No Regrets!

I had been saving and looking at this guitar for 3 years online before I got my hands on it in the store and I fell in love. The guy at the store said if I loved it before he set it up, I'd love it more after, and he was so right. Pleasantly Surprised

Overall:I played this model at a guitar store and it sounded pretty good - even with obviously worn strings, even better than a few more expensive guitars also on display. Brand new out of the box from zZounds it sounds very good indeed. Sapele is a denser material than mahogany, so this guitar feels slightly heavier than a mahogany one with the same body style and dimensions. However, midrange tones really sing out of this instrument, giving it admirable tonal balance one that suits both fingerstyle and using a pick. The satin finish is a real plus factor for me, feeling nice and looking natural.

Review of Martin Road Series 000-10E Sapele 000 Electro Acoustic

After a lot of work setting up the guitar (this should have been done already) I'm delighted with how it sounds and plays. Unfortunately it was not playable when it arrived from Andertons.

Very cool!

This is a very nice acoustic. I played it a few times before I purchased it. The volume and tone dials are a little awkward to get to since they are in the top portion of the sound hole. The tuner is nice in the bottom of it. I was really surprised by how thin the neck profile is. The soft side case is excellent! For the price is was really astounded! It is not a US made but it is made in North America and it's a Martin!
