Tool works great for getting up old linoleum. The only issue is all three batteries I have constantly come loose. Turn it on and the minute the blade touches anything the battery slips down about a millimeter and the tool shuts off. I either have to hold my palm against the battery or constantly push it back in. The tool is new. 2 new batteries and 1 older one.I would by the 18v if I could do it over again. Maybe avoid this battery style all together.

This tool is a replacement for anther brand 12V multi-tool. Even though I have not had the opportunity to use it, I'm certain it will perform beyond my expectations. I was surprised to learn this tool does not have a toolless tooling change feature. Considering the M18 multi-tool does have this feature I assumed this model would have it as weel. Big disappointment.

Out of all the power tool brands I’ve used over the years this tool is the biggest letdown. Had used the m18 version at work and it’s amazing. Bought the m12 version for my personal set and tried to use for same applications- HUGE letdown. Figured it would be a little slower. Contacted support and after a series of emails was told yeah it’s not meant to be used with that blade- only the m18. So much for universal tool adapter and milwaukee quality. Total waste of time. You're far better off with a Dremel Multi Tool, or a craftsman, really any corded option. It's very loud and aggressive while in use. The vibrations seem to cause the tool to literally fall apart internally. The battery life is garbage, and if it doesn't drain the battery, it has a thermal overload that will shut it off, but the problem is it overheats far too quickly. You can use it for 10 minutes, it over heats, you could come back in over an hour, and it'll overheat in 10 minutes again.
I was pretty excited about getting this oscillating multi-tool! I even purchased close to $100 in attachments. Unfortunately, I fear I just wasted all that money. There are a few major issues with this particular model multi-tool. The tool vibrates so aggressively when you are operating at high speeds that the battery will not stay in. The other issue is that the blades/attachments will come loose when applying pressure on the tip of the attachment (such as cutting or scraping tasks). This tool is unusable! I very much regret not purchasing the ‎2526-20 as I was unaware that there was another M12 Multi-Tool available. I absolutely love this tool. Extremely compact and its long narrow form factor fits well in the hand/both hands. Also, because of its shape, I find it easy to work with it in confined spaces. Not too heavy and not too big... AND has a speed dial! Every oscillating tool should have a speed dial in my personal opinion!! I do wonder why the motors on these units are so scratchy sounding. Every model I've heard sounds the same so I believe its just the way they are. Doesn't effect the tool any but it does keep me looking out for a non-brushed version which would definitely be quieter. Literally, other than the motor noise, the only thing I dislike about this tool is the blade change. It's not just that you have to manually wind off the Allen nut from the spindle every ... MoreI absolutely love this tool. Milwaukee missed the mark on this tool. I don't understand how they didn't come up with a quick and easy way to chamber blades. I was working on the third floor of an apartment building when the blade came loose. Instead of going down to my van and finding the correct Allen wrench I finished the work with a sawzall. Milwaukee is usually an innovator of designs. Not on this tool
It’s a multi-tool it does it job pretty good. I love the variable speed. One thing I think they should improve is the way you change multi-tool blade. I may not like how it’s a allen wrench design but I think they should make it where you can place the allen wrench somewhere in the tool cause sometimes I forget to carry the allen wrench with me and it’s a little bit of a inconvenience. Other then that a very good tool

First a battery pin broke off, next the batteries would vibrate loose and lose power, third was teeth sheared off the head, and now it’s getting a bad switch repaired. I’ve probably only put a few hours of use on it. I’m guessing I just got a lemon. I tried contacting Milwaukee directly but I received no response. I went ahead and got the m18 version but I love the size of this one and want one that works. I’ll still buy Milwaukee and I hope I just got a rare unit that snuck past quality control.
