Moroccanoil Color Depositing Mask 200ml - Copper

I wanted to love it so much, but sadly this is a miss for me from Moroccanoil. I am a die-hard user of their shampoos and conditioners so I expected the same from the mask, but..as much as it did make my hair feel soft, repeat use within the week would dry up my hair. The reason I tried it multiple times is because the platinum colour did not deposit at all. The ends of my hair are bleached to level 10 which according to the chart should work with this product, they get brassy. I tried the platinum mask and it didn't even cover the slight brassiness, definitely no silver pigment deposition. Just to make sure the product works I also bought the one in Rose gold which gave me soft pink ends. To use it effectively you pretty much coat all the hair strands until you see thick globs of product on it, first time i tried i covered all the hairs and assumed it absorbed because i didnt see the product caked on top which gave me no result with rose gold either, so use a lot of product! Avoid this one if you're looking for silvery hair! Also, I ended up trying leaving it on for 30 mins and up to 2 hrs, definitely keep it on for at least 30 mins.

Beautiful color

I'm a 65 yr old lady with some gray hair, mostly in the frontline. My hair has been professionally colored at the saloon for years. I have a light brown tone with golden highlights. With the pandemic I started rethinking about going back to the saloon and using chemicals, so I decided to give this color mask an opportunity. I have used it only once and didn't covered the gray hair well, but the rest of the hair looks beautiful, completely covered, soft, shinny and smelling really nice! It was very easy to apply. I did the test first, as recommended, and then all the hair. No messy at all. It was like 10-15 minutes in total in my hair, since I started the application. Bordeaux and Hibiscus Mixed

My hairdresser very slightly bleaches a few strands of my medium brown hair and then mixes these two colors together before applying all over my hair. She leaves it on for 15-20 minutes with a plastic cap to enhance. It comes out such a fun mix of colors . . . some of my original underneath color (along with some silvery strands as I am 76), some burgundy looking parts and dark pinkish/reddish where the bleached parts are. I love it! My hair feels so healthy after applying this mask. I've tried many different techniques for a myriad of colors over the years, but for the last two years this has become my favorite. Has to be redone about every two months, but the highlighting underneath only twice a year. Get many compliments also! Did not make a colour difference

First of all I live Moroccan Oil products and have quite the collection of the Repair S+C, so I decided to give this mask a go. It is non staining, consistency of a thick mousse and smells lovely. I have very brassy hair that has been damaged at the Salon so I am growing it out but wanted a change from having yellow ends.I left this on for 1 hr after watching videos of 7 mins or 30 mins people used because I really wanted to see a change. Fun, hydrating and lasted longer than expected!

I love to dye my hair fashion colors and do rather often. I bought this because I wanted to go rose gold and I wanted a hydration boost. Certain colors don't last very long on me, pastels being one of them, and this is rather light so I didn't think it would. Surprisingly, this lasted about 6 weeks on me (I wash my hair once or twice a week depending on how gross it gets in cold water, use sulfate-free shampoo, and try not to use heat on my hair). I originally purchases my first bottle in the summer and that's the time of year my hair fades the fastest if that information helps at all. The color applied evenly and was easy to apply. Great color, great smell! Only color that worked on my hair so far.

I bought the tester package size of this hair mask (hibiscus) to try just making streaks in my hair, since the lavender and aquamarine didn't work on my hair. To get the color to deposit, I really had to saturate a chunk of my hair in the mask, and I had to leave it much longer than the bottle says for any color to stay. However, by leaving it in that long (I had read someone elses' review for 40 minutes, so I did that), I got a truly vibrant pink in my hair, almost like that on the website for my hair color. My colorist counts on me using this!

My natural color is brown with reddish undertones - mother nature has decided to add a ton of SILVER highlights. My colorist covers them up heavy on the red and gives me different highlights, but instead of blonde (hello 1987 lol) I wanted copper. The toner fades fast, so I use this with every wash and OMG it makes my overall colors absolutely POP!! He has even said that he can't get me to this level vibrancy that will last and recommends I keep using it. Just like any hair product, if you want even results, you need to have even distribution, so you need to comb or shampoo-brush it through. I also do a super quick towel blot before applying. My hair looks and feels amazing after using. Helpful hint - I did buy a couple dark brown bath towels just for use on my hair.

No go. Patchy uneven colour, uses too much. Waste$

It definitely deposited Color, but was extremely patchy & had different tones, with some areas being bright bubblegum pink and others being a muted barely there pink. I followed the directions to a T and still couldn’t get full saturation of the colour. It became even more patchy, with some areas being back to bleach blonde the very first time I washed my hair after applying. Very disappointed in the product, especially for the price, as I now have uneven pink in my hair, and weird patches of bleach blonde poking through. Will most likely return due to how bad it looks, how the colour isn’t close to being even, and it practically rinses right out next hair washing. Nice scent and decent feeling hair afterwards, which is why I’m giving it 3/5.

Orange, not copper

I am a natural blonde (darker roots, light/honey in color) and the copper mask turned my hair ORANGE. I was wanting to go for a strawberry blonde look, but the first time through it very much made me look like I was Haley Williams from Paramore. I rinsed with hot water and tried a second go by mixing the copper with a little bit of the Cocoa mask. Thought the mixed color looked way too dark it actually ended up being closer to the color I wanted. I only did this on the lengths of my hair though, and left just the copper color on my roots (it still didn't take very well). I have tried fading it a little bit, but the lighter parts of my hair are still very orange-y. It worked pretty well and has stayed. didn't seem to damage my hair which was nice. The mask is gray

I was actually surprised when I squeezed out the mask for the first time - it was straight gray color, not a hint of brown or chocolate. I still used it hoping it's supposed to look like that. I have balayage that’s grown out and only left at the lower third part of my hair. It didn't add any color to it, just dulled it down, made it gray-ish. I tried it the second time to make sure I’m not missing anything, at the end of the day, it’s 30$. Same dull gray tint. It's actually going to be one of the few products I’m just going to throw away, there’s no way to repurpose it. Otherwise, the texture is okay, it doesn’t do any damage to the hair nor improve it.
