Moroccanoil Thickening Lotion 100 ml

I started out not loving this product, but now I really like it. I have a short bob cut with a ton of fine hair. My hair gets straighter when it’s humid, not frizzy. I use this with a volumizing mousse and it is amazing on my hair. To be fair, I always have to use more than one styling product, so I don’t expect this to do everything. I switch between this, Living Proof Thickening Lotion, and Bumble and Bumble thickening spray, but this adds some shine that the others do not.

Better as a smoothing blow-dry lotion

This works great as a smoothing blow-dry lotion but I didn't find it to be at all volumizing. It made my hair look dirtier throughout the day and I used a dime sized amount very sparingly on my hair, rather than the quarter sized amount that is recommended. I noticed that it made my medium blonde hair look darker as well. This would work well for someone with thick, coarser textured hair that is looking for a smoothing lotion.

Disappointed

I received this as a gift. I haven't ussed it yet. I had to log onto your site to learn how to use it. The print on your container is SO SMALL that I couldn't read it even with a magnifier!!! If I was shopping for myself, I would never have purchased this. If the information that's on the container is that important, it should be put on an information leaflet attached to the container. You are eliminating an entire population of potential users who can't read nano-print!!! Puts a definite negative spin on your company. It could take away from the quality of the product. SAD

Former favorite product

I have been using several Moroccan oil products for several years, this is/was, by far my favorite product ever. It used to have a tacky texture and added tons of volume. The last 2 purchases have been very thin with no tackiness, I contacted customer service and they replaced the ones I had with new ones and said nothing had changed in the formula….. conditioning cream not thickening cream anymore . Customer service was awesome, but the product is not like it was.

LOVE LOVE LOVE

I have very thin, very fine hair. I bought this product along with the root boost. I usually have a problem with products weighing down my hair, making it look greasy, and or creating static. But this product works wonders on my hair and doesn’t leave an unpleasant buildup of product or anything. It makes my hair appear thicker, and using this along with the root boost makes my hair look so lovely. I love all of the Moroccan oil profits I’ve purchased and I’ll never use another brand ever again. Whatever hair type you have I would highly recommend this product!!! (As well as the root boost. The combination is a miracle for my thin, fine, flat , and lifeless hair!!!)

I'm Mexican, Native, and Spanish of decent, in that order. I have a bit finer yet strong to thick hair from the Native, but have a little wave and a little straight from the Mexican and Spanish sides. This product doesn't weigh my hair down, whilst giving it a naturally styled look. And generally even in Midwest winters, this product does a great job of hydrating my hair. It can be hard to find good product for "in-betweeners", but give this product a shot if you and your hair match that profile. I also have a lot of topical allergies and sensitivities, whilst I cannot say this is fully hypoallergenic because I am not sure, I have had no issues from it (let alone from this whole brand), and I have pretty severe topical allergies. New favorite product

I have long, very straight hair that won’t hold a style and goes flat quickly in humidity. The Thickening Lotion works much better than mousse for me, and I’ve tried lots. It gives my hair tons of volume, and is easy to brush out. No crunchiness at all, and is easy to restyle later if I want to change my look. Highly recommend!

Nope!

I have very fine, long, straight hair, in good condition. I used a dime-sized amount from roots to ends. I had some volume but not a lot. I think if I keep this product I am going to have to try using a different stying spray for roots and using this product on the lengths only. It gives a soft, conditioned feel but all I was really hoping for some substantial volume, which it didn't provide. The silicone high up in the ingredients listing should have tipped me off as to the results but against my better judgement I purchased this anyway. When will companies learn that a high amount of silicone helps provide comb-through for fine hair but totally defeats the purpose of adding volume!!! You could use this from roots to ends and have massive, all-day volume without any greasy feel.

Pumped Up!

Even though my hair is shoulder length, it’s very thin, and only seems like it’s getting thinner as the days drag on. I can’t find anything to help make my hair thicker. It’s just flat and straight and depressing. Even if I let my hair air dry and just somewhat straighten the crazy looking parts around my face and let the rest be wavy, it’s still flat.I decided to try the thickening lotion, because well why not, it’s not like I have anything else working for me right now. When I flip my head back over I can already tell my hair is looking fuller. I will hen blow dry after adding the heat protector and maybe a spruce of leave in conditioner or a little of the oil. Once my hair is dry, the end result is perfection. My hair hasn’t been this full and felt this thick since I was like 10. Seriously. I’m very self conscious about how my hair has thinned over the years from weight loss to stress. I used to get complements on how pretty and thick my hair was when I was younger, but it’s been a long minute since anyone has said anything... until I started using the thickening lotion. First person to notice, my Fiancé. This stuff is magic in a bottle. I only recommend using the recommended amount, nothing more than a quarter size in your hand. Anything more I feel like you would be putting Elmer’s white glue in your hair. Lol you’ll feel the same once you understand the consistency of this stuff. This absolutely works. If you’ve got fine hair like me and you could do with some thickness to your hair then this is the product for it! It definitely works and makes your hair look and feel thicker after blow drying! You literally need a tiny bit at a time, which means it also lasts ages.
